  "Friendly and Polite, great bunch of lads to have on our move.
  Helped us finish up packing and taking down the beds. Wrapped the beds and Sofas to keep them clean and dry.
  Lots of laughs throughout the day, they made it so stress-free.
  Placed furniture into rooms required and set up the kids beds so we didn't have to worry.
  The boys even bought us lunch.. Really happy with the services provided
  Tim and his crew are outstanding "

  "We had Gilbert's move us back in May. The boys arrived nice and early and set about sorting where to start.
  They helped us finish boxing up a few items, wrapped our beds and lounge suite, then began loading the trucks.
  All 4 men were friendly and helpful throughout the whole day.
  There was a delay with settlement, so the men took their lunch break and parked down the road from our new home. As soon as we had the key they were there within 2 mins and began unloading.
  It was a very long… day and access to our new home was very poor, but the men carried on and finished the job just before it got dark.
  
  They all were a joy to work with and did such an amazing job for us. Highly recommend Tim and Darryl's teams for their service"

  "I used to use this company regularly as we were using temporary accommodation and premises for work in nz whilst based primarily overseas. They had some really friendly and effective crews. But the last experience was a real downer , the team of guys were frankly useless and slow . They didn’t pack enough boxes and charged me to go back to the warehouse to collect extra despite being notified in advance they needed a lot. In This instance we were shifting houses and it took over a whole day… and cost nearly $1500 including overtime. When I queried the bill particularly around the charge to return to base to collect packaging their response was less than great. I decided to never use them again."

  "Hi avoid these guys they delivered some product to site on behalf of a client when I asked them not to place it on the gravel drive one of them grabbed me and offered physical violence I was truly gobsmacked they were like 2 kindergarten kids oneegging the other on.
  When I rang the office to talk to a director he said that by the tone of my voice I was a smartass didn't want to talk to me and hung up.
  Get your stuff delivered by this company and you might get a bash as well !!"

  "Excellent service. Two strong polite guys arrived on time and got stuck into the job of moving heavy furniture from a three level home into their truck. They we careful with everything and packed and tied the contents securely for transport. On arrival at the destination which was 45km away the truck was unloaded in no time. We could not have asked for better service and we certainly thought it was great value for money. Thank you Gilbert’s Cartage."

  "Do Not Use This Company. You need to read the poor comments here, they are true, we had the low quote and received a bill 300% higher, they try to waste as many hours as possible to build up the charges, the only pay for what you receive is a total hoax. They damaged our furniture without any care costing hundreds to repair, they stole specific items within the boxes and its all under your insurance."

  "NOT HAPPY! Invoice was double the estimate!!

  First contact was a phone call to clarify the job, we were assured that they knew the pickup site well (the kitchen seller had recommended them). We confirmed with website form.

  Received an estimate of about $350.00, sounded fair enough to pickup and move from Newmarket to Howick. Our full household move from suburb to suburb 6 mths prior (by someone else) was $1700

  On the day the movers were absolutely fantastic, they did a good job of… being careful and delivered the kitchen in good condition. But they had arrived on the pickup site in a truck way too big to get into the site (that they apparently knew well) so had to carry all the pieces a very long way.
  
  We ended up paying for all the extra pickup time due to the choices of Gilberts who didn't want to know anything when we raised it as an issue with them, (wasn't fair to argue the point with the moving guys on the day)"

  "Could not have asked for a more useless pair of guys to help me move.
  One guy was couldn't speak English and kept repeating what I was saying, but after explaining to him what I wanted he kept asking every time he came to move something.
  The other kept looking at me up and down and made me feel very uncomfortable. The move took twice as long because of their poor English. Would not recommend this company to anyone who wants a hassle free move."

  "Stay clear of this moving company, they operate a bait & switch style operation (they first gain your business with a low/competitive price, then went it comes time to settle the bill directly with the movers, they surprise you with a grossly inflated bill). I did complain to the head office but their only excuse was that they provided a quote & not an invoice, so legally they could charge whatever! Ridiculous "

  "Wow - I\'ve moved more times over the years than I care to think about and these folks are the best I\'ve used.

  It was an in-house relocation to the garage and back again three weeks later - we had the same team both times, so they hardly had to be told anything the second time as they remembered where everything went from their first visit.

  Highly recommended."

They made this difficult day easier for us by their great work and cheerfulness, gentle handling of our furniture and other belongings, and they were tireless keeping on through the day. And even connected my washing machine for us! They showed expertise in the order of moving furniture out and in, and great care maneuvering things without any damage to walls or items moved. a great team

  "These guys are awesome. They arrived on time, picked up all the boxes and furniture quickly and were on the move within half hour, and were fast at the other end as well. They charge from the moment they arrive at your place and up to the time they finish, unlike some greedy companies which start charging from the moment they leave their depot. Thanks for the quick and friendly service, I will surely use them in the future and would recommend them to all my friends and families."
