Hi, Andy Noble here. In these tough times my goal is to save you money, time and the hassle of getting to a garage.

No Fix, No Fee. No Call out Fees. And just a flat hourly rate of $75+gst for Mechanical or $80+gst for all Auto Electrical work. People are surprised when they pay less for me to come out to them.

    "Got into my car on Saturday afternoon to go to work and it would not start. That was the second time that week I had had that problem. So I went on the internet and called Noble Auto Services. Andy called me back promptly and put my mind at ease that the problem maybe a simple one. So Tuesday morning he came and looked at my car in the pouring rain and sorted the problem within 5 min and he checked my oil at the same time. Needless to say I was very happy and relieved. I will be calling Andy again very soon to get my car serviced as I am so happy with his service"

    "Found the company on Google. Called and got feedback within 10minutes. Being Sunday there was not a lot of mechanics working or companies to choose from. Andy came exactly when he said he would.     "My 2006 Suzuki Swift wouldn't start 1 day. Called Andy. He came & tried a few things to get it going, ie replaced plugs, checked spark, etc. Then used a compression gauge on motor which he showed me saying there was 'no compression'. When I asked what that meant, he told me 'your motor is stuffed, and you need a new motor' (At 87,000 kms) He then priced some second hand motors and estimated around $3500 for the job. I was caught between a rock & a hard place. He arranged for a tow truck to collect the vehicle and then left. He also didnt put the things he'd pulled apart back together leaving my motor compartment in pieces. I wanted to try it myself thinking the car may have just flooded as Swift's occasionally do. I had doubts so rang Winger Suzuki, they told me these motors don't usually stuff out (the only time they'd seen this is once, when a motor ran dry with no oil) I then got a call from Andy the next day. "Good news, you're motor's not stuffed, it just needs a system flush, and its going to cost around $1750" I felt somewhat relieved that it wasn't going to need a new motor and wasn't going to cost $3500. After I had the car returned, I had massive doubts about how an experienced mechanic with more than 20 years experience wouldn't have known that the motor wasn't stuffed. To do a compression test so soon when assessing it on day one and then to tell me my motor was stuffed would not be something I would have expected a knowledgeable, experienced mechanic to have done. Be very careful when dealing with this business, as throws a lot of doubt about his ability, and I for one won't ever engage his services again."

    It is said that Warren is the parter of Phillipa & they are out for revenge with the problems they have had with their VW golf that was not my doing as they had taken there VW to another garage and this problem was damaged by a third party witch I had not control over.
    As for the Suzuki Swift I had kept Warren in constant contact with all the repairs that had to be done to his Suzuki as well as replacing a O2 censor & carrying out computer diagnostics on his car.
    As for the car being flooded mmmmmm not true as the plugs were removed & were shot through lack of servicing again & a compression test was carried out & there was no compression at all which lead me to believe that there was a possibility of engine damage & further tests had to be carried out. I had communicated with Warren with regards of towing the car away as i needed more time to cary out further diagnostics to avoid replacing the motor unnecessary & Warren agreed to this plan of action which lead to bleeding of the hydraulic lifters & carrying out a full service was also required, cleaning & flushing injectors as he was complaining about sluggishness and heavy fuel consumption, replacing spark plugs & air filter. Warren was very happy with the operation of his car when he had received it three days later as I was waiting on a O2 censor to arrive. The following day I had Contacted Warren regarding the running operation of his car & and he was happy.
    As for all the slander & negativity that Phillipa & Warren wants to carry out on me is all about compensation for the amount of $280.00 which was not my doing. As for all work carried out on Phillipa's & Warren's cars they were kept up to date throughout the process & made sure that they understood fully on what I was doing & why I was doing it as well as to get approval on any repairs that was needed to be done before going ahead with any repairs.

    As I have said in the previous reply to Warren's & Partner Phillipa I wish them both well & all the best.

    "VW Golf serviced by Andy from Noble Auto Services (Jan12). (over $380). Just after the service, noticed big pools of oil on the garage floor. Called him back, & he returned to fix problem. Next service (Oct12), took to Continental Cars. -They began the service, only to discover the oil filter housing had been screwed on so tightly by the previous service (by Andy) that it wasn't possible to remove it (to replace the oil filter) without breaking it (A $280 item that we had to pay for (no fault of our own) because Noble Auto Services overtightened the oil filter housing). When contacted about it, Andy accepted no responsibility for his 'overtightening work' telling us "Well, you'll just have to buy a new one then", and "you shouldn't have taken it to someone else to get serviced". The thing is, even he wouldn't have been able to remove it without breaking it (A great way to guarantee yourself more money on the next service!!!!!) He was rude and abnoxious on the call, wouldn't take any responsibility for causing the problem, and wasn't prepared or willing to even discuss a possible resolve or solution. Beware when dealing with this character. RESPONSE IN REPLY TO NOBLE AUTO COMMENT The VW Golf was taken to Continental Cars for its service 26 Oct 12 because the engine light was on, so it was decided to do a service at the time as it was overdue (normally Continental would advise us it needed servicing- however because my husband arranged for a backyard mechanic to do the previous service (Noble Auto Services) we received NO such notification. Nevertheless Continental Cars being the professionals they are, contacted me to advise the previous service person had not only screwed the oil filter housing on soooo tight, but he had also 'glued' it on, so as to prevent it leaking again, after the service he had performed hours earlier left a massive pool of oil on our garage floor. He had to return to fix it (it was actually getting dark) and fixed the problem quickly (obviously by gluing and tightening) So because the oil leak was no longer evident - nothing more was thought of it, until Continental Cars called when trying to do the proper service to say "they had never seen anything like what the previous service person had done". They were absolutely flabbergasted. When I tried to discuss this with Andy, he became defensive, belligerent, and wouldnt accept any responsibility for his part in this issue ( he was definitely the cause as no one else had gone near the car) He assumed a rude tone, overtalked me and he hung up on me. as for a car being 4000kms over service, this is irrelevant to the problem he caused. I was also supplied the part by Continental once they had fixed it (properly, unlike the last person) as proof of what he had done, and I welcome anyone to contact me, and I Am more than happy to show them what a "glued" "over tightened" oil filter housing looks like. What's more, deducting the cost of that part from their service cost, they were cheaper than Noble Auto Services, AND they fully groomed my car in the process ( which I'd forgotten was one of their lovely unique customer service perks). Deal with this Andy character at your own risk. I have my own personal doubts about all his testimonials but I have no doubts at all that in the future, I wouldn't waste a dime on him touching a car of mine ever again, even if he was the last mechanic on the planet."

    Its unfortunate that a situation like this has occurred.

    Phillipa had required a service to be done on his VW Golf on the 03/01/2012 which I had done with full reports & full explanations on what i had done with the replacement of the air cleaner as the car was long over due & also needed a cambelt & brake fluid flush as the services were not kept up to date.
    Phillipa had contacted me that evening of the 03/01/2012 complaining of a oil leak that was not there before so I attended to this problem within half an hour of the call at 19:45 to find that the oil seal that I replaced was leaking so replaced it with another new seal & problem was solved.
    On the 26/10/2012 Phillipa had a problem with a dash warning light & took it to the dealers & suggested a service to be done on the car but in the process of the service they could not get the oil filter housing off & Phillipa suggested that I go through & remove it for them.
    I arrived on Saturday morning to attend to this problem to find that the oil filter housing was broken through them knocking at the housing causing damage & the service was 4000km + over from the last service. I carry all the special tools required to remove all parts from engines including filters & do not see a hammer as a special tool in any cases to remove filters.

    As I am a trained & qualified technician on VW I know the procedure & the specifications on VW products & oil filter housings have to be torqued to 22.5 NM & this has always been done.
    Through the negligence of removing the oil filter by the garage & braking it Phillipa insisted that I be responsible for this & demanded me to pay for the oil filter housing which I did not break & was not my responsibility as this had been done by a third party were i had no control over.
    As for all work carried out I have fully written GST invoices & all testimonials posted through the work I have done over a long term relationship with my clients & corporate clients and this is controlled by the team @ No CowBoys

    I am more than happy to compensate for any repairs that was caused through me but as for this part was not through my doing and was broken by a third party when i got to the garage and for the lack of communication,ruddiness & abuse from Phillipa & Warren was completely uncalled for.

    I wish them both well with the future repairs to there VW Golf & Suzuki Swift & trust all will be well.

    "I was looking for a sparky who wa affordable and could diagnose the issue without too much fuss especially when I tried describing the scenario. Andy was an awesome guy to deal with and I'm female, he didnt make me feel less worthy like most other mechanics would and I felt at ease conversing with him. He diagnosed the problem even though no fault could be found - cause was the airbag light kept flashing - he reset the electronics on my family SW to our joy. However, we got off topic and that was pretty good. So once the transaction was made things were looking up alas that wasnt the only problem I was getting ready to take the car for its WOF only to see the light flash once again (gutted) but my partner got straight onto it and called Andy and he came out as soon as he could. I liked the fact he was readily and willing to come out to check the car again. He found the problem and I was okay with it - however once he left the light come right and now I'm a happy girl cause my car passed its wof today. thank you Andy I know this is a story book"

    "Absolutely wonderful. With 2 small children, it's great not to have to organize drop off and pickups at the mechanics or transferring car seats into loaners. Andy has exactly the righ tpriorities for me - the car's safety and reliability - but he is also aware of costs and I love that he helps you plan ahead for future maintenance as well as dealing with the current issue. Andy did my car's 90K service and did a fantastic job - for much less than what the dealership charges. What's more, he was consultative throughout the process and educated me about simple things I can do. Who could ask for more I will definitely use Noble Auto Service again."

He fixed both our car that needed a new fuel pump that only took him less than an hour to complete along with picking up the part and refitting.     "As I'm a pretty cautious person you know I looked at these testimonials and thought they were all made up BUT Andy followed up with great customer service considering that he works alone and his response was really awesome and now I'm a believer! I am a pretty good handy chick and I have a reasonable amount of mechanical knowledge, he did as I requested and talked to me about looking at the bigger issues. I had already shopped around and knew exactly what bigger issues could arise so his pricing while it was a little bit more than others,was actually worth it as he came to me and repaired it. This is extremely important if you need your vehicle to keep you mobile. The best part, he worked on my vehicle on a bright Saturday morning! Geez talk about work ethic! He did a really great job (got my boy mates down the line to check it out) and he went through checks on the vehicle as I was taking a long road trip and always need to know I have a safe vehicle. My thing is, a really great guy, gets on with the job, quickly and I think a great option for those with busy lives and especially as I didn't have time to drive around and check out garages. I would highly recommend Noble Auto Services and will be a returning customer in the future."

    "I had a concern with the my vehicles rear suspension bushes and was going to be charged an exorbitant amount by another mechanic I had received terrible service from....I will never use them again Moon automotive in Half Moon Bay. I came across this site by chance and read reviews on Noble Auto services and decided to call and speak to the owner. The reviews given by other customers are extremely true to their word and Andy is a testament to customer service in every way! From the minute we started talking over the phone Andy showed real concern for my problem. Andy showed real understanding of my problem and the quote I had been given. He quoted me a very reasonable figure over the phone but also suggested me another mechanic I could see to give a second opinion until he was able to see me. He exclaimed that if the other mechanic deduced the problem he would arrange a time that suited to do the repair on site, even being prepared to come to my work to pick up the vehicle! I took my vehicle to the referred mechanic who checked the supposed major fault. They advised that there was no major issue and that no repair was needed. Andy was very pleased to hear that I had come right. I would happily refer Andy and Noble Auto services to any person based on Andy's knowledge and customer service ethic!     "As a female this is my second time i've had Andrew fix/service my 2 cars and to be honest he is a awesum/honest/friendly person who explained everything to me as he went along in way that i could understand unlike some places (just went ahead and gave me a huge bill at the end). He was back the same day to get my car on the road for me and charged me a totally reasonable price for the amount of time and effort he put into my car. Andrew is very loyal to his work ethic, extremely organized (his company van a mobile garage/tool shop is in a top standard condition), efficient and competent. He does not hesitate to rescue stranded people in theirs cars on a weekend or any time of the day. His knowledge about car engines and finding solutions to the problem on hand is impressive so much so that he is part time teaching at Unitec.
