Tuna says: "I cannot fault the quality of work that Straight Flush Plumbing provide. The work was of the highest standard and the plumber was friendly and professional when it came to dealing with our difficult neighbour.
I couldn't tell if I got value for money since the only let down was the lack of an itemised invoice which would have given us some transparency as to what it was we were paying for, and even though they fully explained why they didn't issue us with an itemised invoice, it would have been a nice courtesy considering we paid them over $1000, no small amount in this day and age.
All in all, I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a highly professional outfit that provides superb customer service and a high quality standard of work. "

Ngaire replies: "Thank you for your feedback Grant. I hasten to add for readers that this job included other fittings and gas testing and certification, it reads as though we spent an hour applying tape, which is not the case.
The reality is that unfortunately gasfitting is expensive. The costs of running the industry are high and the job these guys do is a specialist one that takes years in which to qualify. We're not the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive either. Rest assured that our charges are not unreasonable from an industry standpoint.

Suzanne says: "We have used Jeremy and Straight Flush several times since the firm was first established. We have always found Jeremy most obliging and helpful. He ftted a new handbasin for us in 2006 and took great care with it, including coming back to make adjustments to the taps to regulate the water flow to our preference. Later he has responded quickly to a number of minor plumbing issues for us , and has even provided advice to us over the phone so that we could fix our own problem on on occasion. In my experience plumbing is always quite expensive, but Straight Flush were not over the odds, and on some occasions Jeremy has helped us out at no change. You can't ask better than that."

Rebecca says: "We have always had fabulous service from Straight Flush and have used them for several jobs over the last few years. Most recently, last Saturday I realised there was a major problem with our sewerage. Not so urgent that it needed to be fixed that day, but one that needed attention very soon. I emailed Straight Flush and Jeremy soon called me back, on a Saturday, and I explained the problem. On Monday three guys turned up and over the next two days located the old pipes, laid new pipes and connected it all up to the system. They are hardworking, diligent, cheerful and always communicate well. I 100% recommend them! "

They responded really really quickly (especially considering it was Christmas time) … AND despite the “fancy” non-standard fittings in our apartment, they had everything they needed when they got there so we didn’t have to wait for parts either!

Richard says: " In the horror of the Christmas rush our upstairs shower started to leak into our living room. It is a crazy time of year for something to go wrong, but Straightflush manged to fit us to this very busy time, turning up when they said they would, fixing the problem, and leaving the shower spotless. Phew!
We used them a couple of years ago to install a new bathroom suite, and have recommended their services to several of our friends and family. They price fairly, and take pride in doing a great job.
These guys (and gal) are VERY good."

Justin says: "Jeremy sourced and replaced a hot water cylinder with connections to a wet-back. He was reliable and completed the job in a timely and efficient manner. I recall how carefully he cleaned up after himself, and took all the rubbishy bits away. He even suggested we keep parts of copper as we could sell these privately and/or use the old cylinder as a planter. Helpful & useful. Would recommend highly."

Louise says: "The plumber was great, turned up on time and did a great job. The only problem was the cost and the attitude of the company when we queried the bill. Over $500 to fix a shower tap that only took 20 minutes seems excessive. They were rude and abrupt and took ages to provide a breakdown that in the end, didn't even match the total. Very underimpressed and would not recommend this company."

Ngaire replies: "We were asked to attend on recommendation from another client. We were dealing with Arian as Louise was at work. We arrived on site the same day. We provided a fixed price to Arian to complete the required works. He gave the go ahead after not being able to contact Louise at work. We collected parts from the merchant and returned to complete the job. The next day, I called and spoke to Arian to ask if all was in order and he was happy with our service, to which he gave great feedback. We duly invoiced the quoted amount. Since then I have received communication only from Louise.
Louise's statements relating to scope of the job, time allocated to the job, and that my breakdown is incorrect are all untrue and very damaging. We fixed a tap and supplied and replaced a shower valve. The time allocated to the job was an hour and a half, including going to the merchant and returning with the parts. My breakdown was down to the last cent, as requested, within 27 hours. We gave a price before the job went ahead, we did the job as quoted, we followed up with Arian to ensure he was satisfied with the job, and then we billed the job as quoted.
We work incredibly hard to please our customers and are disappointed that because this couple did not communicate with eachother before the job went ahead, that we should be publicly villified. " |

Good to find tradespeople with common sense (not that common sometimes!), but they also showed excellent planning and forethought on the job (such as installing isolation valves to minimise disruption to our water supply while fitting out our new bathroom)"
