"We are surprised by this negative review. We supplied and installed a prefinished engineered floor for Mr Resl in July 2010. In July 2011 we received an email from him in which he told us that his tenant complained that the floor “buckles terribly” and the “doors scratched”. We visited the site twice and took moisture readings of this timber floor which had clearly swollen from excessive moisture. We immediately informed Mr Resl of our findings and suggested where we felt the water was seeping into his house. Mr Resl replied that he would organise to have “a registered building inspector and certified weather tightness surveyor” inspect the property. We did not hear back from Mr Resl until the end of April 2012, when he made a number of unreasonable requests. We had suggested he contact our industry qualified assessors, the New Zealand Flooring Association, if he was unhappy with our moisture findings; they have never mentioned any issues with regards to this property. We have not heard from Mr Resl since the 3rd of May 2012 and have had no correspondence from “five experts” who have visited the property. We do not feel we can be held responsible in any way for moisture destabilising the flooring at this property. We consider our approach has been nothing but professional. "
