    "Received a quote after a long wait and then wanting to engage them to do the work and no response. Two further follow ups and still no response. I take it they don’t want the job although after reading the reviews I am probably better off that they haven’t responded. If this is the shoddy service before they get the job, well I guess the other reviews indicate what one might expect. "

    "Do not use these guys!! We engaged George to repair a scratched laminate bench top on our tenanted property. George and his wife arrived 4 hours late with no communication, smoked on the property, spat in the garden and used the bathroom without permission. They then damaged a new table by placing solvents on it. When I provided feedback straight after the job and sent photos of the damage, George’s wife called me several times hysterical and saying they would have to sleep in the street and that they put newspapers on the table. When I sent photos of the damage, she immediately replied that it wasnt them.

    She then emailed me an invoice for the work. I asked for photos of the job, as had been promised. No photos were sent, no responses to my contact provided and no repair to the tenant’s table completed. I still haven’t paid the invoice and wanted to pay these people!!!

    The lack of professionalism was astounding and I have never experienced anything like it!

    "My advice? Avoid like the plague. I was so unhappy with the workmanship, communication and lack of business etiquette (have never received the original invoice despite being promised it 3 times) that I actually complained to Franchisor with a complaint letter detailing issues. However the Franchisor never followed through after initial email saying all would be solved within the week.....a month later - still nothing. Hence my rating. Incredibly disappointing. Would never use again nor recommend."

    "Didnt read any of my emails properly, kept replying to my wife's email instead of phoning me. Had to chase him to complete the job, and twice he didnt turn up when he said he would and never bothered to contact us to let us know.
    Then the day after he finally finished the job (after taking 2 weeks to do a simple repair) he rang me twice the morning after, asking for payment and then also texted me telling me to hurry up and pay straight away!

    "My worst ever experience with a tradesman. Based on photos I was given an estimate of $350. I was charged $690 with no forewarning that the cost would be higher than the estimate. The 'repairs' were not effective, as Benchdoctors admitted - apparently the type of laminate we have is hard to repair. It would have been nice to have been told that in advance! $690 down the toilet. "

    "We sub-contracted Bench Doctors to repair some minor damage our operator caused to a regular clients benchtop. George arrived in the area in the weekend and wanted to visit the property immediately. I made arrangements to meet him there in an hour only to find he was already well under way by the time arrived. He had not masked off anything and was busily spraying the benchtop. Overspray damaged the walls, glass hob, cupboard fronts, windows sand frames, stainless steel sink insert and kitchen floor to the tune of $11,000 (insurance estimate). Our client would not allow him to finish the job. Because Bench Doctors doesn\'t carry insurance, we have since been through an insurance claim on our insurance, losing our no-claim bonus, paying the excess etc and lost a $2,500 per year client! Don\'t use Bench Doctors for anything. They need to be put out of business to protect NZers."

    "We could not believe how good the end result was!

    We were even charged less than the original quote, as the job was completed in fewer visits than originally thought.
    We were happy.
    Our landlord was happy.
    And we got all of our bond back. "

    "It was a big relief to find these guys - They repair damage to formica bench tops. They were every helpful and efficent during the quoting process and then i had to ring them with a "where are we at?" call tehy responed quickly to this and turned up i few days later. The Job was amazing I could hardly tell where the burn mark was and am very pleased withthe outcome. I thought the price was pretty steep but the process did take quite a while to complete so the time factor ups the price I guess!"
