    "Possibly the best mechanic I have ever dealt with.

    Our early 90's Subaru failed a WOF (from somewhere else) so we took it to the Car Clinic with what we were told was a leaking power steering system. They took a look at it right away and suggested that we just clean the area and return to the WOF place. They were right - we failed because the pump was dirty and the fluid was low, not because anything was actually leaking. Many mechanics would have been happy to replace a part or two, but… instead we got a free diagnosis and some good free advice - in and out in 10 minutes. We aren't from NZ and are new to the WOF system, so maybe this is a common occurrence but it's definitely not what we're used to.

    A week or two later the car started having some stuttering / hesitation problems when accelerating. We took it back to these guys thinking it was a case of dirty fuel injectors, bad spark plugs or any number of other potential problems. He took a look at it right away and we were out the door 10 minutes later with a fixed car - again, free of charge. Apparently we got some water in the spark plugs and after checking things out for 5 minutes he just gave them a good blow with the air compressor.

    I don't expect every trip to these guys will result in our car being fixed for free, but it's a relief to have a mechanic that you can take your car to without worrying about being ripped off (especially when you are car-ignorant foreigners).

    "Car Clinic refurbished the clutch in our ageing Mitsubishi. They offer the most competitive hourly rate we could find and consequently provided the cheapest quote for the work (including a clearly communicated potential variation based on the condition of the rear engine seal). The work was completed promptly and the bill exactly matched the quote. Couldn't be happier."

    "I was driving pass the Car Clinic and decided to give them a go with WOF and may be more if I liked the services. It was such a breeze dealing with the head mechanic and business owner Marcus Taylor! From the very first minute of talking to him I could see that he was extremely knowledgable (it appears this Englishman has over 25 years of being in the trade!!!) and was offering the services that were the best for my car. I felt looked after and given a good value for my money, which is… extremely important for me living on a tigh budget especially now after two devastating earthquakes in Christchurch. So far I have recommended Car Clinic to all my friends. And I would definately advise anyone else from Christchurch to come and give a go to this reliable business.

    PS. I\'m about to buy a diesel car - I will ask Car Clinic to do a pre-purchase inspection and also to the servicing as diesels is something what they really pride themselves on :)    "

    "Ive been taking my cars to Marcus for a couple of years now and I cant recommend him highly enough. No job is a problem, big or small, and if theres something a little out of the ordinary hes tenacious in finding the cause of the problem. My wife likes him as she feels that he doesnt patronise her like many other mechanics would and I rate him highly as he tells it like it is without the BS. In short hes earned my trust and I wont take my vehicles anywhere else. Keep up the work Marcus!"

    "We dragged our old Merc down to Car clinic and I can safely say its one of the best Mechanics I have been to.

    The service was friendly and work excellent. We took our car in for a WOF knowing it would need a little work, and everything was completed to a high standard with a quick turn around.

    They where brilliant at explaining what had been done to the car and what needed doing without adding pressure (or a huge bill) to get it done like other Mechanics I have used in the past.

    I… felt that they offered amazing value for money and nothing was too much trouble for them.

    I would highly recommend them to anyone and will certainly be going back my self in the future,

    Finally our old car now is a dream to drive!    "

He is very professional, efficient and offers top quality work. great communication.
