"I was recommended Dave Brown Electrical Services Ltd by a friend of mine and they were absolutely brilliant. After being mucked around over several weeks by the original electrician who completed the new home fit out, Dave from Dave Brown Electrical Services came out to our place listened to our requirements and our grumpy comments, made several recommendations based on his experience and one of his guys completed the job in a single day.... all while putting up with our 18 month old running around the house. Not only did Dave and his guys work through our concerns, he delivered sooner than expected and at a fraction of the cost quoted by the electrical company that did the original job. We will 100% be using Dave Brown Electrical Services for the next phase of the job and would recommend in a heart beat With the kindest of regards John and Amanda:)"

"My home is a work in progress and I required a sparky asap.. as my kitchen was been installed the over Easter .. no sparky was able to do the wiring before Easter but was given Dave Brown Electrical Services phone number by a family friend who has used Dave for years and so I rang Dave and he was there with another electrician to do the prewiring on the Thursday and returned on the Tuesday to complete the job after the builder completed the kitchen that long weekend...I have had Dave and his boys back to do more work and they have completed the work quickly and to a very high standared and the priceing was very good""

"We approached dave for the wiring in of our new downstairs room and ensuite. Dave took the time to go over all the options available to us, answering any questions that we had and, once we had settled on what we wanted done, provided us with a full written quotation. as per usual, on jobs like this, there were last minute changes that dave and his workers took in their stride. the job was completed on time and any additional cost was notated on his invoice. "We completed a rebuild and Dave Brown Electrical was contracted for all electrical work. We had problems with the designer/prime contractor but Dave went in, saw a problem, communicated with us and completed that section of the job. Also offerred resolutions to other problems in the rebuild and assisted the builder to enable the job to be done. The after contract service has been excellent."

"Dave Brown Electrical Services ltd was the third electrical company that we used to find the fault with our kitchen power points constantly tripping the circuit breaker. The other two companies charged us for just resetting the circuit breaker. But Dave Brown Electrical Services Ltd not only did they just reset the circuit breaker, but investigated the problem. Dave highly recommended seperating the existing power point circuit in the kitchen and the laundry. Afew days later Dave Brown Electrical Services Ltd came back and seperated the existing wiring in the kitchen and the laundry for the power points. Now we can use all of the appliances and don't have to worry about tripping the circuit breaker. We would gladily recommend Dave Brown Electrical Services to our friends and neighbours. For the main reason that his company was very prompt and thorough and actually listened to our concerns, instead of taking the easy way out with regards to the wiring in the kitchen"

"Dave and his team are great! He is easy to deal with and quick to respond to urgent problems. I had problems with a prowler hanging around flats I own and he was round there within and hour of me phoning him and added more security lights and moved the ones I had higher up so they couldnt be interfered with. He has done other work for me too, all nice work, not hassles and he finds a solution to any problems. Really reccommend him!"

"It comes as a complete surprise to me to see the negative feedback placed for Dave Brown. We have recently completed a make over in our salon which has included alot of creative thinking on all of the tradespeoples behalf with the biggest challenge being for Dave himself. Due to the project manager being ignorant and misinforming Dave of the correct requirements we came in to discover the confusion. We described to Dave what it was really supposed to be and he knew exactly what we were after and how to do it. Not only was he easy to work with in such abnormal circumstances he worked in his own time unpaid to get the job done on time with the amount he quoted even though it was a much bigger job than was incorrectly described to him, of which he could easily have said "this is a different job therefore it is a different price" but he didnt. This was the first time we worked with Dave and he is now our on call electrician and someone we highly recommend."

"Out of all the Electricians listed in my area just my luck ( or maybe my bad judgment...) that i choose the only one with a negative rating. Firstly Dave Brown charged me almost $1000 more then I was later quoted by another Electrician. The Electricians that actually worked for Dave Brown seemed to me to be competent and honest workers. But the problem was that Dave Brown himself made a mistake that if completed would have made the work illegal. The Electricians used their initiative to find a solution, however this still did not solve the problem and additional work had to be done to put it right. The next problem was that Dave Brown tried to charge me for this work, which I of course refused to do. And after 6 months of threats of Dept collection and excuses about his own workmanship. Dave Brown took me to the small claims tribunal. In which he told lies and contradicted his own workers opinions and made a right goon of himself, the referee DID NOT rule in his favor. After the hearing Dave Brown threatened me. Be very careful of this tradesperson, get a quote or better still find another Electrician. There are plenty of good ones out there. Not only is this Man not trustworthy he is a real pain to deal with. Would anyone really want this person working on their property?"

"Fourtunatly this tradesperson did some o.k work, unfortunatly for him he took on some other work in which he wasnt qualified for, neither did he tell me about his lack of exprience in this area, nor did he resolve on the on going problems I still have to date, I think a measure of a good trades person is someone that is up front, honest and realible, Mr Brown has failed to reslove any of these issues, he has failed in his obligations under the fair trading act, fit for the purpose, What i have ,certinally isnt fit for the purpose!, nor is he intested in trying to keep a customer happy, needless to say I wont be recommending Mr Brown! I have also loged a complaint to the Electrical Workers Licensing Group"
