Steve & Vicki says: "We currently have a circa 500sqm section, quite steeply sloped in parts, heavy clay soil, with irregular lawn growth amongst a multitude of clutter consisting of mature trees and various other plant species with no common theme. In some ways we feel that our section lacks its own ?identity? from our immediate neighbours, and has very limited outdoor living space.
Even though we are probably above average DIYers, we decided to invest in a professional landscape designer. Like a lot of people, we are budget conscious, and sought the advice of a Sandra at Flourish as we felt well thought-out ideas with a fully rendered plan could assist in giving greater certainty of cost when it came to consulting with contactors. Naturally, we also wanted our ideas translated into the best design possible for a modest budget (around 5% of our property?s value).
We decided to use Sandra?s services solely based on the feedback from this website, and we couldn?t rate her services highly enough. We provided Sandra with a ?wish list?, and in all honesty would have been delighted if she was able to accommodate half of our ideas. However, each and every thing we listed (including budget) was carefully considered as part of the final concept. We were kept well informed about the process throughout and were even able to meet with Sandra outside normal business hours.
We have now been presented with fantastic concept and planting plans and are looking forward to seeing our new outdoor living space evolve in the coming months!

Lynn Smith says: "My husband and I had been thinking of attempting to do something with our sloping, clay backyard which was never utilised except for hanging out the washing. We first came across Sandras designs at Petal & Pots in Albany, and decided to have an initial consultation with her. Little did we know when we meet her that she would completely change the way we lived and entertained outside. Sandra took no time at all thinking along the same lines as my husband and I in what we wanted to achieve with our backyard. Her fantastic garden design and plant selection was better than what she had designed on paper. The flowing lines, colour, harmony and peace that we now have in our garden is magical. All the way along the design process Sandra showed us in detail what effect we could achieve with plants selection and colour, which made us both realise that we had the right person for the job. Sandra worked quietly behind the scenes with our landscapers and helped to achieve the garden oasis we have now. Because of the fantastic job that Sandra has achieved on our backyard, we have also asked her to design our front garden and driveway and work again in conjunction with our landscapers to achieve a whole property oasis. I would highly recommend anyone wishing to work with a professional garden designer and know that your garden dreams will come true."

He was 'very happy' with what he received and very keen to move forward with the project, right up until it came time to pay. I declined to work further with someone who clearly did not respect my terms of payment and instead chose to dictate to me how he should pay in the future. All of my customers are delighted with the design service I provide as the feedback clearly shows and always pay promptly. This is fortunately a one off situation has been dealt with swiftly. " |
