  "Just an overall zero really. I am 20years of age, I have a great income but I had just moved house for my new job, my washing machine (that I bought off trademe) blew up the first night, the back fell out of the very old fridge/freezer. This is the first time my partner and I have moved in together. Oh well I thought, lets not panic. So off we went to Noel Leemings, they refused credit becuse I'd never gotten anything on HP before and just moved house and job - high risk they thought. So I went… back to Auckland to ask my mummy if she would go garantor (she owns two cars and two houses worth quite a bit), so off we went, back to Noel Leemings and picked out the chepest Fridge/freezer and front-loading washing machine, applied for finance and they said no! They wouldn't give a reason but said they'd give her finance if she wanted it! She laughed and said no, the bought them with cash for me, but what a joke. - Just to add insult to injury, GE Money were perfectly willing to give my flatmate finance got get a plasma TV and he was on the dole at the time!!!"
