We duly filled in the forms, still unimpressed by what has transpired and as we need a mortgage forged ahead. A few days later we were told none of the major banks would lend to us as my fiance had a minor blip in his credit… history some years back.
My fiance had all of his business accounts with Westpac and was disappointed to learn that they had declined us also. He called the manager of his branch to complain, who in turn told her no mortgage application had been received.
Can you imagine how angry we were that Mike Pero was trying to sign us up with a second tier lender that we had never heard of, when hey had never submitted our applications to any major banks.
We now have a mortgage with westpac, never had any troubles with approval and are flabbergasted we were led down the garden path with Mike Pero. When I see the ads on TV advertising their servies its just makes me cringe!! We were told not to complain about Mike Pero by our bank prior to taking a mortgage out as they may make trouble for us. Never ever use these guys, they turned what should have been a trouble free house buying experience into a really stressful one."
