"Saxon Appliances are dishonest charlatans. Took my LG Microwave in for repair on 9/8/22. On approx 17/8 Saxon Appliances called to say it’s un-repairable and offered to “recycle” it on my behalf. I declined, picked it up, searched for an alternate repairer and took it to EcoTech Services nearby. They repaired it in one day for $75 by smoky replacing a fuse and reconnecting the grill element. I called back to Saxons to request a refund of my assessment fee. The Irish guy who served me said they needed permission from the owner but couldn’t get hold of them as it was late on a Friday. I said I’d come back Monday. They said the boss wouldn’t be there on Monday, I said Tuesday, they said the owner doesn’t often come in. So I returned on Thursday 25th. The same Irish guy served me and gave me some ****and bull story about the boss being away. I asked for her number. He went off to get it and returned with a spare parts manager and refused to give their names or contact info. The staff behave as if they are fencing stolen goods. Avoid them like the plague."

"Absolutely disgusting service. Needed dishwasher fixed- man came did something in the day said he would come back next day with a part. Never showed. Called a number of times to get him out again. When finally got in touch again approx 2 months later they said they had called numerous times however they never left any voice messages???? Also there was apparently a note on system saying it had been fixed by repair man - which it hadn't this was explained to the lady who then accused us of lying and got rude and abrupt and hung up!! People should know who these people are."

"This company to my mind is not fit for purpose. It is just a conduit for money collection. Of the total money I am about to pay perhaps about 20 % is for the work done. They deliberately make multiple home visits and deliberately seem as if they are having problems solving your problem. The technician couldnt even put all the screws back to the Samsung washing machine. At some stage he told me there was a problem with genuine Samsung parts so I need to come back and this occured not once(Its more likely he is the problem than it is that its the Samsung parts). If thats not lying its not too far from it. I talked to the technician, he says talk to the office. I talk to the office, they say talk to the technician. This summary depicts an unprofessional company following no code of ethics or professional conduct. If you want to be misled, have someone waste your time and ultimately pay the bill, then this is the company to engage."

"I have taken my microwave to get the latch replace for the door as it had became loose about a month ago. The diagnosis cost was $45 although I told them what was was wrong!
A week later I had a call to say that the parts are no longer available. I told them " Okay no problem I shall pick my microwave up when my other parts arrive (A cord for sunbeam frying pan which cost me $75.00
Three days later I had another call saying that my microwave been, not assembled, fell on the floor and broke and it cannot be returned. I said i will pick it up in pieces and the plate is re-use able I do't mind if it is not assembled.

Then he said that the plate has broken when fell.

I do not believe when I heard this. I have asked for my money back as it was a negligence from their part and as a consumer I have a right to get my item back.

Since then it is three weeks now and I have left several messages asking for the updates on my Order of the cord and the refund however there is no communication whats so ever from them.

I am very disappointed with the service from this company, totally dissatisfied and never will get anything to them to get fixed at all

"My mixer was assessed for $30.00 and I was told eventually that it could not be repaired as they couldn't get parts. I gave a fill description of the issue when I handed it over and they could have seen it was the part that was the issue before they investigated it and told me then and there they couldn't get parts. The worst part was that they cut off the power cord to make it inoperable, they say under health and safety but returned the wrong power cord. They are not responding to calls or emails. In addition the Irish repairman said if I found a second hand part they would install it but Lesley Bracefield said they wouldn't. I would not use them and think maybe a scam to get the assessment fee for old appliances not supported by parts."

"Not happy with losing $30 for a "diagnostic check" done on a circular saw. The saw was receiving power but not turning, so, apparently, something mechanical was wrong with it. Two weeks later they had finished with the saw and told me that it was an apparent mechanical fault and that they couldn't access parts for the saw so couldn't fix it. They could've told me that up front to save me the $30 but they didn't. I opened the saw up at home and there was significant debris inside, indicating that they hadn't opened it. However, they refused a refund. Never going back."

"This is by far the worst service I have ever had. I paid to get my fridge fixed. Two weeks later I picked it up. It sat for 2 months in storage as my wife and I were travelling. On return we plugged in and nothing had changed. Spoke to Lesley (owner) by far the rudest person I have ever dealt with. No refund. No fixed fridge no joy!"

"Terrible service and will gladly never use Saxon again. We requested our dishwasher to be repaired. They took the part, ordered the wrong part then said it was no available. We asked for our part back so we could research it but it had been thrown away (which is theft). The lady Lesley (manager) is rude and if she doesn't get her way on the phone she hangs up on you. Gladly black listed as I would never use such an unprofessional company again"

"These people are useless, wanted to order a ducting kit for a Simpson Sirocco dryer, done this several times before with other appliance repairers, doesn't seem to be a big deal for other companies to organise, the kit is very standard for this model, spoke to some idiot at Saxon Appliances on the phone, first thing he said ""oh that going to be difficult" and put me on hold, he came back saying "you need to give us the order part number of the menu" really this is a simple thing to organise. I said that's not very helpful, he replied "no", I said " shall I go and buy it else where", he said "'yes".

I rang back to speak with a manager about this staff members **** poor customer service skills, sounded like I was speaking to Marg Simpson' sister and she was just as useless as the first idiot I spoke with and didn't seem to care much for customer service either. As i said these people and this company are useless idiots and best avoided at all costs.

Saxon staff were rude when I inquired about its whereabouts and passed the buck every time I phoned. I would not recommend them at all ... zero stars from us!

"I wish there's zero star in the rating, I had the worst possible experience with a service provider in my life!

I purchased a Philips pasta maker from Smith City back in August 2016, it worked as it intended and service our family well.

In April 2018, we discover that when the machine finishes with mixing the flour and water, but it could not push the pasta through the mode.
At that point it was still within 2 years warranty period. We rang Philips helpline, they refer me to Saxon for repair.

A couple of weeks later, I received a call from Saxon, telling me that the cause of the issue was the top cover broken. And it was not covered by the warranty so I need to pay for the part and labour cost.

I don’t recall the cover was broken when I sent the machine for repair, and if the cover was broken it would have completed stop the fixing process for safety reason. But I was very eager to have it fixed so I agreed to this repair strategy. In the hindsight I should not have agreed to that.

After over 3 months long wait, I got a call from Saxon that the pasta maker has been fixed, and I picked it up on Friday 3rd August.

It came to our complete disappointment that the maker has not been fixed at all, the exact same problem still showing.

I thought this was possibly something wrong with the way I operate the marker, so I got my neighbor to read the instruction and use their flour, to see if they can make it work, but they failed too!

Then I brought the maker back to the shop the very next day.

I received a call from the technician Phil on 8th August 2018, telling me there’s nothing wrong with the machine, and its ready to be picked up again, then I went to the shop just after 1PM.

Phil insist on the machine was fine, all I need to do is to follow the exact instruction, and use the measure cups for water and flour as they marked.

I asked him to show me the process in the shop, he refused for start but agreed to do it after I kept pushing for it.

The office ladies watched the whole process with great interest, Phil prepared the water and flour, but as everyone watching, the maker could not push the pasta out – like I always claimed!

Phil was puzzled to see that, he first thought there was something wrong with my flour because the mix was very dry. Then he claimed I needed to add more water than the measure cup, he even said to the office lady that he added about 1.5 times of what the measure cup size when he tested the day before! I was really angry at that point, as

    1. I shouldn’t need to experimenting on how much more water I need to add, and I have always followed the instruction in the past with no issue;

    2. He only just told me to follow the exact instruction!

I asked Phil to do a second run, this time he brought the flour from the shop and he added 180ml of water, which is double of that the standard amount of water for one cup of flour.

The machine managed to push the pasta through, and Phil was very pleased, he told me I should start use the maker with double the amount of the water going forward.

But as the machine keep going, the pasta starts to mix together on the plate as they are very sticky! The office ladies were shocked, saying “you can’t cook this!”

At last, Phil concluded that we need to send it back to Philips.

I think the technician was very unprofessional throughout the whole experience. In my opinion, he has been making up stories as he went. I don’t trust a word he says, and the top cover was not the problem in the first place. God know how long we have to wait for the “further assessment” by Philips, as I completed lost my confidence with Saxon team.

I wrote a complaint letter to the management on 08/08, and I still haven't heard any reply from them.

"I would NEVER deal with this company again.
In Feb 2018 I needed a part for my dishwasher that made the delay button work after the guy had already been out and made a repair and got the machine working. I used it every day OK but could not use delay button but other than that it was fine. For the second visit to replace the panel where the buttons are they quoted me $229.72 which I oked. The technician came out and took the machine apart and then couldn't get it back together and even broke the on/off button so he took it back to the workshop as he said a guy there had more skills and would be able to do it. Two weeks later they then emailed me a new bill of $545.73 (up from $229.72) which had $119.50 of charges that I already paid of the first visit plus a second call out fee $60.87 and additional $43.48 for taking the machine back to the office (they took it back because their technition was not skilled enough to put it back together so why should I pay for that when it was due to their technician not having the skill to put it back together and needing a more skilled colleague at work) - a total of $223.85 in double charges or invalid charges. I pointed out the double charges and invalid charges and Lesley Bracefield the Administration Supervisor refused to remove them from the invoice. They expected me to pay for these things twice. She then told me if I did not pay they would return the machine in parts as they have for other customers. I pointed out that would be called returning the item damaged and against the consumer guarantees act as they need to return it in the same working condition that it started as. I kept emailing them every week wanting to resolve it. I was happy to pay the original estimate but not happy to pay for these double charges. They would not reply to any emails or phone calls and 130 days went by and I was still emailing them and getting no reply. Then 19th July 2018 - they send me an email saying pay within 7 days or they will send debt collectors around and any outstanding amount will incur 10% penalty and debt collection fees. I replied to this email and pointed out it is them that is holding this up as they are not communicating - I have all the emails on one paper trial so it is easy to see and read. Since the email saying pay up or debt collectors will be sent they still have not replied to my emails and that was 2 weeks ago. I send them a new email each week saying I still have had no reply. It is going to Disputes Tribunal now. Adding already paid items to the bill and trying to bully me into double paying those items by withholding my machine threatening to return it parts, ignoring my emails and phone calls and then threatening me with debt collectors and additional penalties is extremely dishonest.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you read the reviews you will see a similar theme as mine so they treat customers like this often

    "Very bad experience
Oven door needed new hinges. Saxon's suggested i bring it in to save the call out fee which i did. 4 months later the hinges work well but the back and front of the door are coming apart. looks like it has not been put together properly or a screw is out. They will not look at it without an 'assessment fee" and tell me because I replaced the door myself they are not responsible ( I was not told about this when they suggested I bring the door in). Appalling rude service. I paid $240 for a botched job and their response is to treat it like a new job.

"Shocking customer service! Would never use again.
Took a week to come out an assess repair which was under warranty through Harvey Norman, then took dishwasher away for 2 weeks with no contact, I had to ring myself 4 times to get an update where they said it would be a minimum of another 1.5weeks wait for the part to arrive. A week later a guy from Saxon calls me at 8:30 and says we'll be delivering your appliance within 1/2 hour(never mind that I have children to get to school and have had no prior warning). He turned up with an apprentice- they were both nice enough but they used the front draw of my frontloader washing machine as a handle to pull it across and snapped the draw front off. They then tried to hide this fact by crouching in front of it and resting it back in place. After they fitted dishwasher and we're going to leave, I checked the draw front since I had been watching and saw what happen- it had snapped the brackets that were holding it on. I ran out to the drive to let them know that it was in fact broken and they assured me they would find a new draw front and come back to fit it. They came back while I was out (they called and I let them know it was ok to be there) and fitted a draw front that is not the same as the origional one- it's a different colour and different shape. I called and explained the situation to a woman at the reception desk and she said the workers who had done this were away that day and that she would talk to the manager and if she had time she would ring me back. I wasn't happy with this and asked to speak to the manager directly. She said she was in a meeting and couldn't speak to me, I asked for her to get the Manager to call me back. Which she said she would. She also said the people who had returned my dishwasher and broken my washing machine were away that day and that the manager would need to speak to them to acertain their version of events. That was 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything and my washing machine front is still broken. Appalling service and appalling resolution process. I understand mistakes happen, they just need to be rectified in a timely manner.

On top of this, when I asked for a break down of the repairs to know what was wrong with it(since it was under warranty, if the same thing happened again, I needed to know what went wrong the first time) they said they wouldn't give that to me as it's up the the supplier to decide whether to repair or replace and therefor I don't need to know, it's at their discretion.

I would advise anyone I know to steer clear of these cowboys, they are more trouble than they're worth.
