I provide a full vehicle service from $155.00 inc gst. This includes oil and filter change, check and adjusting brakes, lights, fluid levels, suspension, steering, cooling system, check tune, belts, battery, tyres and pressures, road test, report of any items requiring attention.
No additional work is completed without authority so there are no unexpected suprises. |

Carolyn says: "Scott serviced the car, changed spark plugs and commented on a small repair that he noticed needed to be done at some stage. I prepaid him for the small repair and he came back after the weekend to do it, as promised. I whole heartedly agree with those who have left 100% scores for this business, I can't recommend him highly enough.
I work at the University in Wellesley Street and Scott came and serviced the vehicle in the carpark. At this busy time of year (exam time) it was one less thing to worry about and completely hassle free. Scott's charges are reasonable and below the usual (Nissan Newmarket). I believe he was also more thorough - the car runs very well now. Scott was on time and reliable. He is a thoroughly nice person and I feel confident with his work.
I've asked Scott to send me a reminder for the next service and he is now 'my mechanic' - I don't need to go elsewhere for car repairs or maintenance. Please feel very confident to use this business.

Sherrena says: "After reading only a handful of feedback, I decided to give this person a go. I went ahead, called for an appointment and haven't looked back!
I had barely put the reciever down when Scott returned my initial phone call and within minutes, my car was booked. I found this to be most convenient and was pleased to know that I did'nt have to go through the hassle of dropping my car off and hitching around until it could be finished.
Scott arriived 15 minutes early and explained everything he was testing my vehicle for before pin-pointing the problem and fixing it at a reasonable price. In under 45 minutes, I was up and running again!
My Dad happened to be around when he came the first time and booked an appointment for himself along with another one for me. He had a truck that had been sitting for close to a year, which Scott repaired for less than half of what dad was quoted by a local workshop. Needless to say, there was another happy chappy in the house because he had finally found a reliable and reasonable mechanic to service hs truck AT HOME.
On the second visit, Scott provided me with options for repair that included both new and used parts, depending on what I could afford to have done, along with his recommendations for both. That he took the tme to look over it twice, called and then spoke with me about his concerns, indicated that he was a perfectionist and that I was being given good, sound advice.
Overall, I am impressed with the promptness,service, advice, reliability and most importantly the Integrity with which this individual operates and think he is a credit to his Trade as well as his Profession.
Both my Father and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Scott to our family, friends and others (which is rare to say the least!). In fact, we already have ;)

I never really recommend things as they sometimes come back to haunt you but never had any issues recommending Scott. Always on time, always honest, always a good job and always the best price (and he comes to your house or work!)
I would say the best thing i ever did was stop going to franchise dealers and paying $400-$500 a service when Scott does it for around $200 and I don't even have to leave work"

You know you are in trouble when the guys checking your car get you go to go underneath the car so you can see how bad a mechanical problem is! I phoned Scott and he had the car checked, part ordered and car repaired in just days and at an amazing price - a miracle when the problem really could have been major! Max says: "As a working mum with 1 day off it was great to be able to have the car serviced and repaired at my home. No need to drop off, wait for a day and organise to go pick the car up again with a 2 yr old in tow.
I had booked Scott for a service but also had problems with my radiator and goodness knows what else. He was able to provide a comprehensive quote and prioritise the needed repairs as well as offer an estimate for a second hand part to save money. He also answered all of my questions without making me feel like an idiot. I can't recommend Scott highly enough!"

After years of dealing with over priced, underperforming caveman type mechanics where the work was done by the apprentice and charged for as If it was done by the owner ( and was usually twice the quote in both price and time )........... Scotts great .
Prompt , professional and not the apprentice, seemingly a damn good mechanic ( jobs only been done 2 days !)

Mike says: "I asked on Tuesday for work to be done on Wednesday (it was needed for a long weekend) Scott answered phone, quoted work and then I booked the time. He turned up when he said and completed the work as requested and gave me some advice on what didn't need to be done (I have never met an honest mechanic like this before!). The work was cheaper than he thought and he only charged me for what was done.(He did such a good job I took his cards up to a meeting I was in and 4 people took them to book some work) Fantastic work and I have already asked if he is able to do some additional work after the long weekend as the quote was so good (and the work also good). It was like going back 20 years when everyone use to care about the work done and not how much they made out of you...I getting all my mechanical work done by Scottt now"

Simon says: "I had been 7000km over my 10000km service simply because I could not afford to have the car off the road for a full day. So I called in Scott to see how it would go. Car runs great. Owning a big 4wd always expect a large bill as is more complicated with the diesel etc but was not too bad. Picked out a few things that needed work so will have him back for that. Is good that he does not just do it. Made it easy to do work while he was working on the car. Hour and a half and he was gone. Would recommend and will be using him again soon."

When it comes to spending money, I'm no accountant, but I'm pretty tight with my cash & am always looking out for a bargain (for instance I bought my 1996 1.5L Auto Nissan Pulsar for under a gran from my company - and it had full service history too!).
So when it came to looking for someone qualified and good value to service my car, I called a few places, and went to a couple of websites, but unfortunately when I called some places, I spoke to receptionists who couldn't give me much more details than that was on the website :( and had to wait for the techies to call me back (is tomorrow ok? not really...) Other places were around the $200 mark...a bit over budget...
So like yourself I came across the NoCowboys site and found Scott Mobile Mechanical. Getting a mobile mech was appealing for obvious reasons but I was a little sceptical about them being able to do everything a workshop could do, like getting under the car etc etc.
So I called, and Scott picked up the call, answered all my queries, and at his price, it seemed like a pretty good deal so I took a punt & booked a service for Thurs morning 8am.
In a nutshell, this guy came on time, and was extremely quick and thorough. He had everything in his van - oil, filters, air compressor, tools, and other checking equipment I've never seen before; and he must've checked about 150 different things including tightening up some hoses and even lubricating my door hinges and my squeaky boot hinges; it was also quite impressive to see all my 4 wheels taken off and the car raised on stands - and this was all just on the side of the road outside my office!!
Another advantage was I got to see the whole process and ask questions and he was cool with it - I think this would be a little uncomfortable for all in a noisy & dirty workshop environment.
And I also didn't have to worry about any apprentices or newbies working on my car and potentially not doing something right. The whole thing took less than one and a half hours - this guy really just gets on with it.
At the end he took the car for a test drive just to listen for any unusual sounds, and check steering, alignment etc.
Obviously I feel v. good about this guy's level of professionalism and a price that's quite exceptional. I know he's busy so just hope he keeps the price down in future!"
