*destroyed my floors that had been laid the day before
*took 2 months to do a job he said would take 10 days, and then walked out without finishing (he was only showing up sporadically for a couple of hours at a time)
*installed deck railings 13cm apart instead of the required 10cm, and only nailed them instead of bolting. (the list goes on...)
*installed a brand new kitchen incorrectly, and now I not only have to pay a new builder to fix up his mistakes but replace things such as the barback.
*found out that he has been banned from various stores on North Shore, and after this job will now be banned from using his trade card at Mitre10 MEGA in Glenfield as they are appalled at the shoddy work.
He also walked off with all of my money and I am in the process of taking him to the disputes tribunal.
This guy is a con man, he is not a licensed builder or plumber, please learn from my mistake and NEVER give this man your money to do any work, no matter how easy it looks, he will find a way to screw it up.

Scott says: "In 2008 we completed a full interior renovation of our house. Alan was plasterer and painter and completed a good job. The job and any outstanding issues were completed in a timely and effecitve manner. Alan was also great in being able to work to a varying time-table that was forced upon him due to delays in the building phase of the project. His planning and time management when faced with these delays allowed us to still move back into house before christmas.

Belinda says: "AWL did a great job, very thorough and also threw in a small outdoor area and retaining wall and no extra charge. Communication was excellent, they're friendly, experienced and knowledgeable and gave me tips about other aspects of our house maintenance. Diana says: "This company removed a large amount of bamboo from my mother's neighbour's property. They mulched the bamboo and dumped it over the fence on my mother's front lawn. My elderly mother didn't give permission for this. The tradesman said he would return on the Monday and remove it from her front lawn, but never returned. In total we had to remove five trailer loads of bamboo waste left on my mother's front lawn. He was also supposed to return to grind out the roots for the neighbour who had the job done, but never did - so the bamboo is growing up again with a vengeance. "

Bob says: "We had a 'Technican' come to our home on behalf of Dell. Technician called ahead and arrived on time. However, showed lack of respect for our possessions by scratching all 3 system start up CDs by opening them with a screw driver. Showed lack of professional problem solving skills by taking 4 hours to install a laptop hard drive and install a new operating system, knowing it could have been done well within an hour.
The technician brought the incorrect replacement parts. Also left the laptop with inability to use the wireless functionality. Unbelievable!
We feel we are worse off than when we started."

Paul says: "Have had mixed results with this crowd. First time we used them they were exceptional. He did a great job and explained what was required and gave us regular updates.
However recently we had the need for a plumber again. He turned up 4 hours late-we had to call to chase him up. He was basically 'rough as guts'. We could hear him swearing and cursing whilst working and at the end he told me that the job was a 'mother f*ker". Not only was he crass, he also wandered into our house at one point, while having a drag on his cigarette.
Just hope the quality of the job makes up for it. Not sure whether would use again. Was disappointing as we were impressed with previous plumber
