"I am so disappointed with this company and feel at this stage totally ripped off. I contacted this company by way of google search and initially I thought wow Neil Green is on to it. he called me back, arranged to meet me at home and looked at machine and said it was probably not worth fixing (charged $103.50 call out fee - which I paid and he cleared cheque instantly) said he would call back when he had checked out cost of parts, response back on this was a bit slow but not a major. Finally… when he got back to us we decided not to fix as he quoted $700ish. He told us he had a recond machine we could have for $300 and it was a really good machine and he would give a 6 month warranty. We thought that all sounds good, he delivered machine we paid $300, he cleared cheque again instantly, unfortunately we could not have him install and run as we needed to move the tub to make room for it, this was done 3 days later, we turned it on, it filled with water and would do nothing else, we rang him he answered phone said he was out of Auckland but as he lived close by he would call in that afternoon, he didn't and since then he has avoided all our calls, we have left numerous messages over the last 4 days, we have tried emailing to his email address that he quotes on his message service and alas that bounces back. I become uneasy so checked companies office website and I find the company he promotes himself through Appliance Planet Ltd was struck off Feb 2010, interestingly he uses the name Appliance Planet and Neil Green on his invoice/receipts and asks you to write cheque to Neil Green. Also when you see the address he has on Company Register seems address is not a valid address either. I keep thinking have I got this wrong as he seemed a nice guy. But then I found all this feedback on him today on this website and I thought maybe I haven't got it wrong. Neil and Michelle if you are decent people and I have misunderstood this please let us know and please come and pick up this machine you sold us that does not work as I have now purchased a new one, and I would like to get rid of 2 that don't work up the next day loitering around our house asking our son where the washing machine was that was to be picked up that did not work, seemed pretty suspicious also So I am out of pocket $403.50 and feel pretty peeved and the invoice from this man states 6 month warranty on a machine that does not even work to start with."

I to have been sucked in by this fraudulant company, even worse they have my money and I have no product. Neil Green will not return my emails, call, messages or text. I have also tried to contact Michelle Mitchell the apparent other partner in this fraudulant company. I have spoken to the police and am persuing this further. This Company should not be trading, to all you others out there that have been taken for a… ride, may I suggest you do the same as me and get the Police involved I have also contacted Target and Fair Go!! This guy Neil Green needs to be stopped."

"Appliance Planet is an absolute disgrace and an insult to the appliance repair profession. Neil (if that is even his real name) cannot be contacted after he tried to fix our dishwasher (I am not even sure whether he did anything, just pretended to do things) I don\'t know how he sleeps at night. We now have to get a \'real\' repairman to fix our dishwasher."

"Keep as far away from these people as possible! Neil arrived promptly and was polite and charming. He fixed my dishwasher in about ten minutes flat....so I was initially most impressed. The bill for this very swift job was $194.82 which I felt was a bit excessive - nevertheless he had fixed it. However, a few days later it broke down (same fault) and then I found it impossible to contact him. He did not answer his cellphone and a message advises clients to email him. Emails bounce back,… however. I found this company's details on the Companies Office register where they are currently said to be struck off and so presumably have stopped trading. However, I went to the address they were registered to, but no-one appeared to be home behind a high and unfriendly fenceline. Having fumed and planned much revenge over the weekend, I have now decided that the last thing I really want is Neil returning to fix the problem."

"Wow wouldnt want this guys karma.....
Paid $140 to have my dishwasher fixed on the same day. Still doesnt work. Have had to pay another $120 to get it fixed. Rang 3 x and no response and once he hung up on me. Im a single Mum on the DPB and that is my food money for this week. Thanks mate, I hope you can sleep at night because in the next world you won't be getting much sleep.....
BUT THE COPS HAVE BEEN CALLED AND WILL BE CHARGING HIM WITH STEALING NOW IVE LOCATED HIS PHYSICAL… ADDRESS AFTER HES MOVED SO MANY TIMES....

"Absolutely dreadful. Responded after three days, came to repair an oven. He preceded to "bypass the timer / clock" and shorted the wires while doing the repair!!! A big arc across the fusebox and then said "you need an electrician, something is wrong, I will get some fusewire and come back in a few minutes". - NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN!

"This guy came to fix our dishwasher and took it away for 3-4 days and then after assuring us that was the end of the problem and taking $384 went off.That was about 2 weeks ago and our dishwasher never worked properly since then,finishing off with leaking all over my kitchen floor.I think the thing that rankles the most is him not getting in touch after us leaving copious messages on his damned mobile answerphone,on the rare occasion my husband talked to him he was always "going to come at… 4pm tomorrow" or "stuck in traffic".Someone with whom I will never trust or deal with again."

"I contacted Neil to fix my Samsung fridge/freezer. He arrived promptly for the first visit . After 3 wks, 3 visits and follow up calls and texts from myself, my fridge/freezer was still not working.
I got a referral from Peter at Lincoln Electrical to Tony who has looked at my fridge/freezer. Ive discovered that Neil has disconnected the thermostat in the freezer by cutting the wires and did not pick up that the heater in the freezer was not working. I would not recommend Neils… services at all."

"All I can say is DO NOT USE this company. Yes they eventually fixed my washing machine but only after 7 weeks of promising to drop it off and never turning up. It appears as if I am one of the lucky ones considering I actually got my appliance back. Hopeless and frustrating to deal with. Highly NOT recommended. "

"I would never use these guys again. My washing machine is not fixed yet i have paid $300.00 for a wahing machine that was meant to be fixed. Very dodgy outfit. I STRONGLY recommend that you dont use this company as i did not get what i paid for, and i am considering taking this to the ombudsman. Also the one and only positve feed back on this site coincidently has the same name as the person that awnsers the phone when you make your first booking with them. So i doubt that this feedback is… auctualy genuine."

"Very dodgy business.
Left the job fully paid but had not completed all the work. Said he was coming back. Never did. Cannot get hold of the guy. No response to home phone. Cellphone never answered, and message voicemail message is cannot leave message as mailbox full. "

"This person took my dishwasher for repairs and hasn't returned it. Tried to contact him by phone,email and texting but he does for some obscure reason nort respond. He said he was sick and that is now a couple of weeks ago. What kind of a tradesman is he? I sure wouldn't recomend him to anybody!"

"I would recommend NO ONE USE HIM. He came in to look at my dishwasher, charged me $85 callout to tell me he needed to take it back with him to test, promising to call me the next day. Well I had to call him. He said the hinges were bent but could not yet find a fault, would like to keep in another day to test. We then found a leak coming through our ceiling & found out that he never sealed the area under the sink where he took out the dishwasher, so I called him, Surprise suprise again only… his voice mail. Left him a message & not yet heard from him since. He is messing with the wrong lady, I will make sure he loses his licence, gets arrested for Fraud & never able to do this to anyone else."
