"did a horrible job of our bathroom. tiles were crocked and most of them were not flat. some were brocken. we had tiles on a shelf next to the bath and instead of removing them before replacing them with new tiles. they just put new ones on the top. Nothing was sealed propery. they used mdf mouldings around the doors instead of pine like they said they would. None of the plumbing was done correctly leading to a flood in the roof causeing major water damage in the ceiling. Had to get other… contracters in to fix his work costing even more money. Also dumped rubbish from a previous job on our pile and lyed about whey he did that. He also took a whole week to gut the bathroom (this should have been done in 2 days tops) We also had a plasterer show up to the house lookig for money bob had not payed him from a previous job. Bob had just come back form a holiday to fiji also. Avoid like the plauge."

"please beware as we have already written of our experience of bob booker and sons form abbey building services ,we now know the full extent of what he has done to our bathroom evrything he touched has had to be ripped out the tiling the gib the bath the bath mixer and best of all a bath cradel that was made out of bits of scrap wood no more thicker then 25 mm in places ,the bath was ready to collapse at any time ,the plumbing he did was so bad that we were lucky he did run off half through the… job because if iot had been left any longer we would be dealing with more then just bathroom damage ,we have now got a building report ,photos and part oif the bath cradel as evidence to sue bob booker ,please if this man has done work for you get it checked by a qualified builder now beacuse you can be sure anything he has touched is wrong illeagal and very dangerous !!!!!!!! SEE YOU IN COURT BOB ."

"Use Bob Booker and Abbey Building Services if you want a poor job and totally waste your money. The bathroom renovation he did for us was sub-standard, and when pointed out to Bob that a large number of the tiles were "lipped", (done by Bob and his son - not professional tilers), he walked off the job stating "I can not work for you because your standards are too high". All we wanted, for nearly $10k paid, was a professional job - not something that looks like a **** DIY… job. Bob and his son are a disgrace - we now have to rip the whole lot out, (waterproofing is also sub standard), and start again. See you in Court Bob.....get out of the business and stop ripping people off.

I am happy to colate information in regards to Bob Booker / Abbey Builders, (what a joke), and provide my information to fellow victims. Since posting my comments previously, I have now discovered that Bob plumbed our bathroom vanity straight under the house onto soil - could not even be bothered plumbing it to the nearby waste water drain - you bloody LOSER BOB ! "Please hire Bob Abbey of Abbey Building Services if you want to be ripped off. Here are a few things Bob did for me:
*destroyed my floors that had been laid the day before
*took 2 months to do a job he said would take 10 days, and then walked out without finishing (he was only showing up sporadically for a couple of hours at a time)
*installed deck railings 13cm apart instead of the required 10cm, and only nailed them instead of bolting. (the list goes on...)
*installed a brand new kitchen… incorrectly, and now I not only have to pay a new builder to fix up his mistakes but replace things such as the barback.

*found out that he has been banned from various stores on North Shore, and after this job will now be banned from using his trade card at Mitre10 MEGA in Glenfield as they are appalled at the shoddy work.

He also walked off with all of my money and I am in the process of taking him to the disputes tribunal.

This guy is a con man, he is not a licensed builder or plumber, please learn from my mistake and NEVER give this man your money to do any work, no matter how easy it looks, he will find a way to screw it up."
