"We contacted Graham to do the roof on an extension at our home. He asked for a 50% deposit and it got to the stage where we thought we had been scammed but about 4 months later and after the builders had left the job because they could not wait any longer, he turned up. To cut a long story short, I had to repair the mess he made of the roof, I had to get all new flashings made and I had to get another company in to install a new gutter after it fell off for the second time. We took him to… Disputes Tribunal and won but never saw the money. He has all the excuses under the sun - he is sick, he is in hospital etc, etc and he even stepped so low as to blame his lack of turning up on one of his employees who was killed. We found out that this unfortunate person was killed well after he was meant to turn up on site. DON'T GO NEAR HIM"

"Graham quoted my mother to re roof her home. Asked for 50% deposit and has not been seen since. Contacted several times and had all the excuses, been in hospital, death in the family etc etc..
It seems this is a habit of his

"Do not do business with Graham Lax. He trades under Able roofing and D and B builders.
His mode of operating is to state he will start shortly then ask for a 50% deposit.
After he gets his claws on your money that is when all the lies, excuses and "woe is me" stories begin on why he can not start your job. Man is he full of them.
Exasperated I have cancelled the job with Graham and asked for my money back. I have not received a cent.
Graham Lax is a dishonest man, don't be… his next victim."

"Graham and his team quoted for the job to re-roof our house in November last year. In early January we paid a 50% deposit on the understanding the job was at last about to start. But no excuse after excuse day after day nothing. And it goes on now that we have cancelled the job and requested our money back nothing. Graham Lax you should be ashamed of yourself. Everyone works hard for their money and you had no right to make this such a stressful experience with your lies and excuses. To those… looking for a roofer i would steer well clear of this company."
