"Angus has just completed some interior painting for me - 2 bedrooms recently gib-stopped. He has done an excellent job, tidying up a couple of areas left by the gib-stopper as he went - plastering over and sanding. Works very tidily, and completed the job in the time quoted. I've now asked him to quote on some exterior painting. I would certainly recommend him."

"We have asked Angus to provide quotes and complete paintwork for us on a few occasions over the last few years - he is very professional and knowledgeable, completes work to an excellent standard in the time estimated, and at a good price. "Angus painted 3 rooms including walls ceilings and skirtings, of the house, undertook plastering and repairing of previous work which had not been done to a proper standard, plastered and painted areas where new ceiling lights had been installed and repaired damage to walls where heaters had been removed. Angus worked in a professional and reliable manner, and his work was completed to the highest standard"

"Angus did a fantastic job of painting our new windows, inside and out. He showed up on time, and sent a text if he wasn't able to come due to the weather. The quality of the painting was excellent, and he went above and beyond, filing and painting some problems with the Gib, which wasn't part of the original quote. He also did a fantastic job of keeping the inside of the house clean of sanding dust, which I really appreciated. Angus was also able to assist in matching a tricky unknown paint… colour on the walls. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him."

"Angus did a terrific job for me, painting both an external area (upper storey, and difficult to access) and internal areas (walls, ceiling, doors, and joinery) following a renovation project. He is a craftsman who takes genuine pride in his work. His preparation and finish were impeccable, and he was great to deal with from start to finish - experienced, friendly, on schedule, and went the extra mile when I asked him to fit in some additional work. I have some more renovation work to complete… soon, and will definitely use Angus for that project as well."

"We had Angus' team come and paint the interior and part of the exterior of my parent's house when we were doing some 'well overdue' work on the house. They were incredible, a total pleasure to have on site.
As the work evolved from painting to sanding and varnishing, Angus applied himself and his team with total professionalism and were so easy going and pleasant to work with. These guys are the real deal, true professionals, flexible, accommodating, hard working as all hell. My folks were so… happy with the job, with the sanding, varnishing, with all the advice and ease they brought to the site. They combined extremely well with tradies. Can't recommend them enough. At no time was the job rushed or short cuts taken Both Angus and Dan were on site until the job was completed. It is rare in today's world of rush to find workmanship of the quality they provided. "Just had Angus paint a renovated bathroom and laundry for us. He took time to sand and prep the old timber and walls in this 100 year old house to perfection before he even applied any paint. "Contracted Angus McKenzie to paint exterior of our home in Te Atatu.Best choice we could have made! He arrived punctually and I was impressed with his professional approach. Angus' quote was very reasonable and he and Dan were there every day until the job was finished. Their preparation was extremely thorough and any repair work required was carried out. They also assisted us in choosing colours and their recommendation was spot on!
A pleasure to have around and we cannot recommend Angus… highly enough. Two friends of ours who are retired professional painters also commented the excellence of Angus' work.

You can tell Angus has been doing it for 30 years as his knowledge is exceptional. His repairs to a rotten window were fantastic. He is also very thorough with his preparation and is very proud of his work. He is very polite and a pleasure to have around. He is also very particular about cleaning up after himself. I found him on this website and was so impressed with his… previous work I now have him painting our exterior house in June.
