"Matthew and his co-worker did a great job for us. We have a heritage home and some of the panting work was quite exacting, needing great attention to detail and being very careful with the paint colours and finishes. They could understand exactly what we wanted. They were very pleasant to deal with and always arrived exactly when they said they would, working with the timing of other tradespeople. They were efficient and left everything very tidy at the end of each day. I would not… hesitate to recommend them."

"Matthew did an excellent painting job on the windows of our Mt. Eden villa after some remedial work by our builder. Matthew was recommended by our builder as they have worked on many projects together. He was very reliable, easy to deal with and very professional. When discovering some rot in the sills he pointed this out and the builder was contacted to fix this before Matthew continued. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any painting job. "

"Unique painters worked on our relocated 1920's bungalow. After internal renovation they did all the painting finishing before Christmas 2023. They came back recently to do all the exterior, including the decks. We are very happy with the results. Matthew has a high standard of quality. Other trades working here commented on the professional approach to preparation and finish."

"Matthew and Santiago have just completed a job for me, painting the interior of my house (excluding ceilings). They did a fantastic job and they worked really hard.
They were a pleasure to have in the house and did what they said they'd do. They really helped me out of a tricky situation and I'm extremely grateful for their professionalism, the quality of their work, their pleasant demeanour and excellent communication about what they would do, then following through. And they cleaned up… after themselves too. They were fantastic in every way and will definitely be on top of my list to call next time I need a job done."

"Mathew and Santiago have just completed painting several rooms in our home. We are absolutely thrilled with the fantastic paint finish, the rooms look beautiful.
The preparation prior to painting was excellent with masking and floor coverings to protect all necessary areas.
They cleaned and tidied up each day.
Mathew is a true proffessional, very knowlegable, efficient and on time. He has a lovely friendly disposition and it was a pleasure to have him working in our home.

"We found Matthew (Unique Painters) on NoCowboys and chose him due to the rave reviews we saw - we were not disappointed!
Matthew takes great pride in his service and the quality of his work, from careful masking up and floor covering for protection to choosing the right paint for the job. We are very happy that we chose Matthew. It might seem old-fashioned now but Matthew (and his other painter Santiago) were friendly, polite, tidy and very punctual - it made all the difference to us… whilst we were both working from home and having the renovations done. Also he consulted along the way to ensure he knew what was needed, especially as we were having some electrical work done. Matthew also did some plastering and gib repair, so good you can't tell it was done at all and saving us getting a builder in for those small jobs.

The interior of our place would have taken us forever to paint but Matthew completed the work to a high standard and with efficiency. We are planning on getting him back from more work early next year.

"His workmanship and attention to detail is meticulous! The job was an extremely difficult one - removing very old wallpaper, plastering the walls, prep work and paint work, plus replastering the ceiling. All the cupboard handles, alarm and light fittings were removed carefully and replaced when the job was done. Communication between us was excellent. His time keeping was impeccable. The place was left spotless after each day.
We are very, very impressed with the outcome and will be using him… again in the future. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone."

"These guys are a class act. They came highly recommended by a friend and have not disappointed. Last December 2020 they painted the outside of our house and in April 2021 they painted 80% of the inside of our house.
Their prep work, paint finishing and clean up was OUTSTANDING and we are so happy with the result.
We would highly recommend Matthew and his team to come and do your job and know you will be just as delighted as we have been.
