"I am very happy with the work Brent did for me. He is friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and did a great job of replacing a decrepit deck and the attached steps. He'd noticed a few ways in which the original deck and steps had not been built so well, and made some great suggestions for improvement. I am very pleased with the end result.

Brent also fixed and improved my other small deck, and carried out fantastically sturdy, well reinforced repairs to my carport (which had also not been built properly to start with - grrr! - hence the need for repairs!). I have every confidence in the solidity of the repair work Brent has done. He also took care to make sure the price was as reasonable as possible, without sacrificing quality of materials or workmanship.

"Upon enquiring about a new deck he was very helpful and even showed up on the day I called to assess the job. His knowledge of building standards helped me decide on how I should proceed and how the deck might look. During the whole job I was out of the country, there were zero issues I had to deal with and I came back home to a new deck that looked exactly like what I wanted. The whole process was extremely easy and the price was fair. The project took a bit longer then expected but this was due to weather and I feel they deck was done in a timely manner. I would definitely use him again for any future projects."

He was thoroughly attentive to what I was after, was able to recommend products that he believed fitted the brief that I outlined and gently steered me away from any ideas that in hindsight wouldn't have worked nearly as well as the end result- which is a result I am absolutely delighted with

"After reading the many 100% reviews about BB Renovations , i decided to go ahead and contact Brent about the rebuilding of 125 Square meters of multi level decks in front of the house and around the pool area , plus the building of a storage room under one of the decks . Brent arrived on time to view the job and turned out to be an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable person to deal with . After accepting Brent's quotation , he was able to start the job a few days later and has worked diligently on the job as required , while doing other jobs in between for other people . Brent is very passionate about his work and plans assiduously before commencing each stage of the job . On the rare occasion that i was not 100% happy with something that had been done , he had no hesitation in rectifying the issue at all . "I found Brent through this site and he has been a god-send. Brent has a wealth of experience and makes the renovation process a 2 way conversation. Brent took down a wall, re-gibbed half of my downstairs ceilings and renovated a bathroom. Phase II has seen him re-gib the rest of my ceilings, pull out my old kitchen and help prepare my floors for new flooring. Brent listens carefully and offers great advice. He never makes you feel like you've asked a daft question (even when I knew it was!) and most importantly walked me through the process of renovation. "Brent recently built us a deck around our pool. He organised all the trades and his sub-trades were professional and prompt, going beyond their required roles and completing the job more cheaply than we had anticipated. They were great. But Brent was a hero. He was working in a very restricted space (a muddy hole in the ground with very limited elbow room) and he created a masterpiece. Our deck is amazing. I really don't know how he did it - he created curves and shaped it to fit the very limited space we had. He has transformed the area and our family is so happy with the result. I still can't understand how he did such a great job. He also worked extra hours as we could all see that lockdown was coming - he finished the day before lockdown and was polite, professional and hilarious throughout. He also helped me redesign the deck - my original plan was less than ideal and his helpful and knowledgeable approach meant that it is so much better than i thought it would be. I would recommend him in a heartbeat."

"Brent has done a lot of work for us over the last several months. First he completely renovated our downstairs area providing two new rooms. Then he constructed a fence and deck with wheelchair ramp on the front of our house effectively making an unusable area usable and adding a lot of value to the house. Brent co-ordinated plumbers, electricians, plasterers etc beautifully and his own work (the building bit) is excellent. Brent has done other work for me in the past and his attention to detail and workmanship are why I called him back for these jobs. "Brent spruced up all our internal doors. He also repaired/rebuilt our back deck for us. he has done a superb job and the deck is a good, solid and very beautiful one. He put a ramp in for us instead of stairs and he put in an extra handrail for safety. He replaced the railing beside some concrete stairs as well. He did a beautiful job and still has a lovely singing voice. He even made me a moon on a stick, because I jokingly asked him for one. He put a roof in and closed off one side of the deck so we are protected from the wind and rain when we sit out there and he put up some clotheslines for us as well.
I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He is charming, efficient, very talented and keeps you updated throughout the project.

"We were in need of a new deck and told by a work colleague of my mother about Brent Brodie who had just finished building a deck for him. "Brent did an excellent job for us replacing most of our fascia and a few of our soffits. He also fitted some new gib board in one of our bedrooms after the ceiling was damaged by a leak. Nothing was too much trouble. He arrived to quote at the time he said he would, was very professional and put us at ease with his confidence. "I used this trader as he made me feel totally confident when I met him and gave me a good competitive quote. We were living in another house at the time and had just bought this house with the hope we would move in around June. However, our situation changed a bit and we have only just moved into this house permanently.I met his sub trades and felt comfortable with how it would all be managed by Mr. Brodie. I was having half of my house re modelled, so all the old gib was coming down in 3 bedrooms and insulation was being installed and re gibbing was taking place, along with new skirtings etc. The bathroom was being remodelled but that costing was on top of our quote, apart from the gib and skirtings etc, as per the other rooms. The plumbing and electrical were included in the entire job though. I was first alarmed when I noticed what were meant to be new window and door surrounds to be our old damaged ones and after dissatisfaction, most were replaced .We were told however that a painter could fill the old ones and paint them, but that was not the arrangement. Then there were surrounds around aluminium doors that were dealt with appallingly making me compromise on what should have been a good job. These surrounds are now falling off and need rework. Not to mention the gib that wasn't fixed correctly and is now coming away from skirtings and cracking. And all the finishing touches that should have been discussed with us and were simply dealt with in the cheapest way possible.
This entire process has left me feeling totally upset and ripped off. We paid this man a good sum of money to do this job and it is so shoddy and will not last the distance. We have only been in the house for 3 weeks as permanent dwellers and its gutting. I could go on and on but I will stop here. I would love for anyone to come and look at my house and see for yourself what I mean. This man, although full of some good ideas is not at all up to date with anything new on the market and is not what I would call current. Instead of discussing things such as door fittings with us he fitted the cheapest handles on doors which happened to be bathroom doors offering us no input. We would have loved locks.So again, that will be more rework at our cost! He could have discussed these things with us and we would have steered him in the direction we wished to go and happily paid more if necessary. I know I need to move on but this has got to me so much. It should have been a happy experience but now I am finally living in my house, it's all more real to me.
All in all, I am not happy!!!!

"Brent made it happen. Nothings impossible with him. No stress. Very good building skills. A great help with our planning. Helped to keep our costs down. Stayed on to help us prep for painting. Brents trademen (Barry the sparky & Gary the plumber) are very good workers. The trio worked hard, did a great job & were fun to be around. We also had Mark the plasterer & Brad the Varnish man. They were both very skillful.

"Brent recently repainted our kitchen and laundry for us. Having recently dealt with another company, we found Brent to be of a much higher standard. He was professional but personable, easy to communicate with, reliable and the work was done to an excellent, consistent standard. Brent made several recommendations to us, on a no-obligation basis, and we were impressed by his \'thinking outside the square\' and will probably go with his recommendations. We will definitely be using him for the renovations on our bathroom which is our next project."

"Brent did 2 major jobs for me, the first was the additional of a large deck, and the 2nd was a reclad of the upper story of my house.
With the deck Brent made several valuable suggestions that improved the plans I had from the architect no end. Brent was very reliable and helpful with dealing with all the unexpected stuffwe unearthed with the house during the project.
