  "I had tried 3 other guys before hiring Barry to do the Job. The other guys were either too glib and way-out expensive or too labored in explaining their probable cost structure and 2 were late for the site-meeting 1 guy was OK but farmed his work out - thus the expense!
  Barry is a Guy that I had an eimmediate entente with and he engages in trade conversation on a layman\'s basis, for which my lady and her Mother found Barry to be both courteous and affable and informative. We found him to be… honest in all his endeavours with ua.and when a problem arose at one of the premises, Barry had himself and 2 other guys working on the problem for over 3 hours, all of which he refused any form of payment for! Although as it transpired - it was not Barry or his 2 associates inability to overcome the problem it was in fact because of a Brand New PVR box (we purchased separately) and which the suppliers refused to take back because - according to them the PVR worked perfectly in the workshop. We had to take them to
  
  Tribunal before they took back this box. The replacement PVR worked perfectly when connected up..Barry never needed to touch up the installation wiring or anything else - the PVR just operated as the other 3 PVR\'s were doing.Ergo Barry said that if something did not work he was loathe to discontinue working on the problem if he thought the it was his of his colleagues error that was causing the non-performance of the PVR, and it was only because the suppliers claimed that PVR -similar to the other 3 PVR\'s was faultless.
  
  Well, I have re-engaged Barry to do another Satellite dish installation which he intends to work on on the 10/05/13.Barry\'s charge-out work rate is more than acceptably cost effective. .
  
  I have not the slightest haesitation in reccommending Barry to others"

  "We had no idea why our TV wasn\'t working after we canceled our sky service. All the wires were there but the TV had a rubbish picture. Spoke to Barry, arranged an appointment for him to come and take a look. Barry arrived at our place and before we know it he\'s installed a new aerial, checked the wires (dodgy previous install), tested the signal and bingo the TVs working. Great communication, let us know what was going on the whole time, great service. Super easy. Highly recommended. "

  "We wanted to find an alternative TV delivery option to TelstraClear’s T-box, our preference being a terrestrial aerial and if we couldn’t get a signal because of the hills around Wellington then satellite delivery.

  The first installer I contacted I couldn’t nail down to a time to come out and investigate and I wasted about 2 weeks of missed appointments and excuses. I contacted another company and they informed me there was no possibility of terrestrial working at our location.

  I… then decided to contact Sky as they offered free dish installation and their box seemed to be more reliable than most on the market. After moving the dish along the garden fence the Sky installer told me he couldn’t install a dish unless I paid for the dish to go on to of the roof which would be a much more expensive job. Since we have looked around at neighbouring houses and have seen how many point directly at hills and banks and one can only assume they work and perhaps the Sky installer was looking to make a little extra on the job!
  
  I then contacted Barry and he was a breath of fresh air after the previous encounters, he promptly came to investigate. He brought a TV aerial and from the first floor window established we could get a terrestrial signal and there would be no issue to install an aerial and a splitter box.
  
  I found Barry very helpful; he has a pragmatic approach to problems and was easily able to suggest effective solutions without adding a huge additional cost. Whilst fitting the aerial he noticed we had a number of computers and suggested installing network connections whilst installing the splitter for the two televisions at very little additional cost. He supplied us with a PVR at a great price and even patiently showed me how it worked. It was a pleasure to have someone so helpful doing the installation. Barry’s charges were very reasonable and I would recommend Barry Wakelin to anyone looking at installing TV, home entertainment or data cabling solutions."

  "We used Barry to repair a freeview aerial for our rental property. He provided a same day service and was extremely good value for money. A fantastic communicator who didn\'t sound like a used car salesman, he explained the pros, cons and cost/benefit of the various options without forcing us to choose a \'recommended\' (read: \'costly\') option. Barry came across as extremely honest and dilligent and probably one of the best trade folk we\'ve dealt with.
