"Brought my car to this garage with an issue with the brakes. The mechanic rang to say the brake pad (pads were actually at 50% depth) and discs need replacing for $700.. I refused to get pads done so I was charged $529 for new front discs and the rear to be skimmed. Once I collected my car I noticed that the brakes had not improved at all. I returned the car the next day. The mechanic inspected the brakes again only to inform me that the issue was actually the master cylinder and that would cost me another $400. Avoid at all costs"

"I have used Criss X for my warrants for the last few times and I have been happy with their service. I have a late 90\'s Hyundai, so it does have a few minor issues that crop up around warrant time. These guys have been straightforward to deal with and call you if you need any work done for the warrant.

The first time I took my car in for a warrant (sept 11), my phone line was down so they couldn\'t get hold of me to tell me about the minor repairs needed. They made the call to go ahead and do it (because it was approx $100 work), and offered me at collection the option to pay it off in instalments if I wasn\'t happy. I was more than happy for them to do that, rather than me have to bring it in another day for the remedial work. The staff were friendly and found out more about their services and deals for nearby businesses, which was really good for someone like me who works near their garage. Since then, they have given me a call a few weeks away from my warrant expiring to remind me and offer to book my car in. The process is smooth (phone call, drop off one morning, pick up that afternoon). Will continue using them for at least as long as I am working nearby (and probably longer)."

"Used for the first time for a WOF. Was told the car needed particular work done but price seemed high. I received a second opinion from a workshop I've used before and was told that half the previously quoted work was definitely not necessary. Be cautious about College Hill Motors!"
