    "Purchased a replacement garage remote in Feb 14, worked for a while then stopped. Supposedly had a 12 month warranty, have been trying for several months to exchange, but Dorman Doors no longer in shop in glenfield or answers phone."

    "Hi-yo Silver away! We have discovered a true Cowboy! Quoted for work, arranged a time, couldn't make that so arranged a new day and time. Never heard from him again. Waited around all afternoon on the arranged day, postponed another couple of appointments I had so he could attend and deal with our garage door - but nothing. Simple no show. No email, no phone call, no text - nothing. Gave him the opportunity to provide an explanation - but nothing. However I did get a phone call from another garage door company who he apparently passed on my details to to see if they could assist! Incredible! So forget all the garbage he spouts on his website (like "I believe prompt reliable fast service is a must" and "My aim is also to offer friendly and reliable service"), and take it from me - if you want something done to your garage door, contact another company. It will save you time in the long run because after playing you around he will simply pass your details to another company anyway, without even the guts or backbone to contact you directly! WHAT A COWBOY!"

    "I contacted this company to attend to our automated sectional garage door when it developed a fault after the manual release lever was accidentally flicked. Initial contact was prompt and Mr Dorman arrived at the agreed time on the morning of 25 March 2009. He serviced the door and repaired the fault. His fee was $100 which, at the time, i thought was quite reasonable given that he had travelled to Howick from Glenfield. I paid his bill by internet banking as soon as he left and e-mailed him a copy of the confirmation.

    HOWEVER, the garage door subsequently started to make a very loud screeching noise when closing. On 1st April I sent Mr Dorman an e-mail advising as much and asked him to call me. I didnt receive a reply until 6th April. Mr Dorman apologised and advised that he had been experiencing problems with his e-mail. He gave a brief description of what he thought the problem might be and said he would endeavour to return that week to take another look at the door.

    When he didnt arrive and didnt make contact at all during that week, my husband called him on Tuesday, 14th April. Mr Dorman once again apologised and advised that he had been ill. He undertook to visit us on Thursday, 16th April. He never arrived and has not responded to our subsequent phone message.

    We now find ourselves in a position where, after more than three weeks, we have spent $100, sent e-mails and made phone calls and our garage door is still not working.
