"I used Ramon and his team late in 2009 for a small bathroom renovation. I am very happy with the quality and standard of the work, Ramon was easy to work with and very honest and straight-forward. The amount we were quoted was the amount we paid. I would use Ramon again and have recommended him. "

"I wish I had seen the earlier review before I booked them! The job took much longer than it was supposed to and since it was a bathroom renovation in a one bathroom house, inconvenienced us for much longer than it should have. The work was not good at all, most days I had to ring up and request they replace or change what had happened the day before , as it was unacceptable. I don't like complaining, but if you pay a professional, you expect professional work. Their work was not good at all, and Ramon did not appear to know enough about building to be able to check his builders properly. They were cheaper than the other quotes , but not worth the extra trouble. Do not use them for any job. On the other hand, they did attempt to fix the problems and didn't just vanish with my money. They are not crooks, just not good."
    Ramon responded:
"The job was to renovate a bathroom and install a new window. The majority of the work was done fine, however there were some painting issues and a minor issue around a toilet detail. Despite these issues the client got a working, functional bathroom at the end of the job. After the job the client had never said anything about being unhappy and times that we did get questioned about issues they were sorted . I would have to question how we could be rated 30% value when they were left with a fully functional bathroom. The quality of 0% would indicate that the bathroom has items not fixed or not painted. This job was in johnsonville and our office is very close to the site, i was onsite most days as i am with every job and met in the evenings with the client when needed. This review seems to be very harsh and not completely fair. "

"It took them over five months to complete the job, including numerous delays, refusing to do more without more payment, flooding a bedroom, refusing to acknowledge shoddy tiling job, only completing 75% of the work detailed in the original quote but then demanding full payment. Refused to discuss the issue or provide a itemised account showing labour and materials. Ramon, the franchise owner, was generally arrogant and patronising to deal with. We ended up calling in the Managing Director of the pverall company to view the standard of workmanship and he then negotiated a fair discount for us. Wouldnt touch the Wellington company again with a barge pole."
    Ramon responded:
"This job was started on the 18th September and invoiced on 7th December, so the job couldn\'t possibly have taken 5 months. There were several reasons for the delays e.g. a change in staff member doing the work, the client asking us not to work certain days, tiling quality issues and discussions . A progress payment for work is normal for quoted work and if progress payments are not made we don\'t go back to site til they are sorted. An itemised invoice after providing a quoted job is not company or industry policy. We would never demand full payment for incompleted work. A mediator (Fix It head franchisor) was bought in assist in solving the issues. This was a normal practice for the franchise. The shower tray was foamed in so that it did not bounce and the tray was then weighted down with a large bucket of water to stop it from rising. Unfortunately the bucket of water had a leak in it and leak through into the downstairs bedroom. The water on the carpet was minimal and certainly not what people would call flooding. This was an unforseen accident and dealt with without major issues or damage. I would encourage the client to give a fair review of the work as a working and functional shower is vlaued at more than 10% and the quality must be more if the shower was in a usable state. We did have issues on this job and we are certainly not denying that, we just ask that a fair and honest review be posted. "

"Job was a complete disaster. Ramon (business owner) came to quote job but was not a builder so wasn't qualified to instruct his builders. His 1st builder then made a complete hash of it and took hours longer than he should have. 2nd builder attempted to fix it but he and Ramon decided it was a problem with the doors so we would need new ones. Later got advice from 2 builders that doors were fine and just needed to be fixed properly. I would recommend using proper builders and not these cowboys."
    Ramon responded:
"Unfortunately the builder that first looked at the job was on his last day working for Fix It. He was unfortunately not as helpful for the client as he needed to be. He hence advised the client that i didnt know what i was talking about. I am experienced in building work and am certainly more than capable of using a straightedge to find out whether a door is bowed. It is in fact quite normal for doors that are leaking and rotten to be bowed in some way. We replaced the sill on the same door due to rot. I would like these client to provide a fair/honest review with actual reasonable percentages rather than 0%, as we did repair the sill satisfactory. There were hours that were not used effectively and they were not charged for these hours, this was stated in the invoice. "
