    "Took my car to GAL after very disappointing experience with another company. Didnt take long to find the fault which turned out to be major. I was told it would take 1-2 months it took 4, for me personally its not a problem and i understand it was out of their hands as they are relying on 3rd party but i rather say later date and deliver early than vise versa. Price turned out to be almost double of what originally quoted and kept changing up until last moment. Service was professional and communication was good, I was given two options to replace the entire engine or to repair existing. Overall happy with the service, glad to have my car back on the road, just that to get it fix i paid for another car."

    "BEWARE... WARNING... don't use the mechanic.... Germany automotive... in glenfield... had my car 10 days didn't fix water leak...took it back... then another days work on it... fixed it... NOT... within 4 days no water in radiator... and it came back with cracked windscreen.... which they denied....put up with the leak until i fixed myself....finding that it was a part that they had damaged fitting it back together ... wouldn't normally give this message but just a crap experience ..... just saying"

    "I just had a battery swapped here. Went for an original Bosch battery for $310 when a cheap Chinese equivalent cost $280 with less warranty. A no brainer."

    "I had prior excellent service from GAL when operated by Haiko on my A6. When I purchased an A4, I took it to GAL for a cambelt. Dealt with Andrew, got quote initially, and was $100 more than Qualitat, however decided to proceed at GAL based on previous good experience. Repair Bill was more than double quote-though not for significant extra work. At time Andrew claimed was because they replaced Cam Seals. Puzzled & Stressed I paid & left. Upon analysing invoice I was surprised by excessive prices for parts-so did a ring around a few suppliers. Prices Charged were more than double Full Retail at Giltraps! (& non genuine parts were used) Also correct G12 coolant had been drained, and rubbish green glycol stuff added that caused a reaction with remaining G12 & coagulated. Wrote email pointing out price discrepancies, with cheaper quotes & retail parts prices from 3 other companies & intention to take further action, Andrew promptly refunded bill & apologised saying they had been getting ripped off on parts and didn't realise parts prices until I showed them. Whatever. Also cheap plastic impellor chinese waterpump was fitted- (although charged 215% of retail for new genuine part) I now use Qualitat & have had no issues with them. Shame as was a good company with old owner Haiko. Clearly they take advantage of Customers if they feel there is opportunity"

    "I was a first time customer there, spent $1760 there to get my car fully serviced and cam/aux belts changed on my VW. Two Weeks later I change my supposably "new" air filter for a K & N to discover the old grotty one in there. I checked my Invoice/receipt and got charged $58 + freight + Labour (+GST) for a filter that wasn't installed. Also found the Dipstick guide broken, it should have been replaced.

    I left and email explaining this, gave them the opportunity to refund me 100% and the guy Andrew wouldn't have a bar of it saying the filter came ex Germany and they had no use for it. Hell its a common VW panel filter used in 8/16 valve VW Gti's and Corrados so its a load of BS. He finally agreed to pay 50%, and its still 50% I'm waiting for until very day this day. It is there responsibility to guarantee their customers a good service, in my case I am beginning to wonder if the $1760 I spent on my VW was worth while My biggest regret is not doing my research, so my advice to euro owners is to be cautious of German Automotive and try stick to an MTA affiliated service agent."
