"got a full vehicle service done for $400. two weeks later all my electronic sensors come up with errors. abs, proximity sensor, the whole lot. I call in to get it checked. the first thing he says is, it's definitely not his fault, and that he'll charge for him to look at it.
went to a the proper BMW service headquarters. the mechanics there concluded that the onboard computer had been messed with.
it's costing me $500 to repair this."

"Unfortunately had a bad experience at Glenfield AutoCentre, after waiting longer then promised for a WOF inspection. I was told my car failed on 3 counts (quoting me 1K worth of repairs). I was surprised as I had only purchased the car 6 months ago and had it inspected and recently got a full service 3 days prior to the WOF being due. I expressed my concerns with the man there and he insisted that if i took it to another place they would most likely pass my car and say that he was lying. Now… being a young female with minimal knowledge of cars I wanted a second opinion because things felt very off. I took it to another local reputable garage and my car passes with no issues !"

"I went to take my car for a wof which he failed on rear and front brakes. Given I had an inspection done on the car one month earlier it seemed suspicious to me. I took the car to the AA and they inspected again and found absolutely no reason to fail the car. I believe they were trying to con me into unnecessary repairs. "

"Just had my first service done since Johan has sold the workshop. Anton got the job done, emailed him on Friday and got a quote, an appointement for the next day. I'll still using the workshop for my ongoing car maintenance."

"This used to be my mechanic of choice. Not anymore. Johan sold the business and it is simply not the place it used to be. I have recomended Glenfield Autocentre to my friend for clutch replacement. Instead of promissed two days the car was barely ready in three days. I took my car for oil & oil filter replacement. And the guy was late again. Not to mention he was telling me my car would fail WOF because of speck of rust under the hood (size od a thumb). That rust has been there since I… bought the car and the car passed WOF four times since without any problems. At least I know where not to go for a WOF check."

"I highly recommend Johan and Glenfield Auto Centre as a one stop place to go when you need a WOF, service or any repairs/maintenance done to your vehicle. Johan is without a doubt the most professional, trustworthy and friendly mechanic I have ever been to. He only fixes what needs fixing and keeps in contact whilst your vehicle is at his shop. He has great knowledge and insight into the workings of a wide variety of vehicles and also has quite a awesome courtesy car. Top notch guy and top… notch place!"

"I have been to several europen car's garages in Auckland and found myself spending unnecessary money to fix what other mechanics said. Until I came accross and to became a loyal customer to Glenfield Autocenter. This bloke, Johan Ellof, expert in his field, he only fix what need to be fixed.
