"Very poor quality. Many times didn't turn up despite promised. Didn't complete the job properly, asked me to pay the full quote despite not completing the job and then when I asked for an itemised bill they threatened that it would be much more and I'd be responsible for paying it. When they did send an itemised bill they included labour hours that could easily be proven to be false. Within 2 years the drains were blocked again and another company sorted it easily. "

"My experience with this company was appalling, which ended up in the Small Claims Court, Levin.
I asked a few local companies to check out blocked soak out and trap, and provide a quote for replacement. When we informed them afterwards, their quote was more than twice every other one, they then sent a bill for their initial inspection, with things like..."Load up drain clearing equipment", "Travel to job",
"Dig up septic to locate lid",
"Remove lid to… locate outlet",

"Contact owner and notify him of work required to fix the problem", "Return to w/shop and return equipment"...as items on the invoice...which was over $800.

They even had the audacity to charge $100 for "EEL DRAIN MACHINE HIRE".

The time they took to undertake the "job" charging 4 hours 25 mins, was wildly exaggerated and easily disputed by txt msgs and photo timestamps. A small point but I provided a drink of their choosing (cup of tea, and a beer for his son) which Coley lied and said they never would drink on a job. At our Disputes Tribunal hearing, which we initiated, it resulted in our favour with a considerable reduction in the hours charged. All in all, it was a really bad experience, and trying to challenge them and question their invoice met with a brick wall."

"Feel really ripped off. Charged nearly 400 to fix a small leak with easy access. They had to come round twice, even though it was a really simple job. Charged for way more time than they were there, and more than they quoted verbally. Definitely won't be using them again. "

"Really unhappy with my experience. Overcharged and under delivered. Didn't do any investigation to find out why my shower was blocked, just plunged (even though I had asked them to look into a potential issue with the piping. Then charged to come back because they didn't do the job properly the first time. What a joke... $350 later, no better off.Got a helpful plumber elsewhere it to sort it out in the end..."

"Came to install our new gas stove. Shayne was very friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. I was very happy with the job he did, all went well. No issues. Charged $75 per hour for gasfitting tradesman which is reasonable and comparable to most trades people. Would recommend this Company."

"I called the company after having tried (unsuccessfully) for 2 weeks to unblock a kitchen drain which then escalated to a blocked toilet. My contact person was Justin and he was just AMAZING!! He was constantly in contact with regard to where he was, any delays, the time he expected to be here, etc. Normally I get very nervous with tradesmen (price/trustworthiness) but he was awesome. He was very calm, nothing was a problem and the price was bang on. I used the $105 special and it was… perfect. The problem was solved and he gave me options if it happens again. Even the office staff are great. Highly recommended."

"Great service very easy to get along with got Shayne to hook up a new gas infinity exceptional tidy work very impressed , and resonibly priced !also brought over a really neat tap I got from Germany Shayne was more enthused to have a crack at installing it, I think Shayne and his team from go with the flow plumbing are exceptional workers and would by far excell in there skills as from what I've seen from there work compaired to other plumbers I have used in the past "

"I recently had water pouring out from my roof and worrying that it was hot water I rang Go with the flow who firstly put my mind at peace and explained what the most likely scenario was , they then turned up that day and fixed it. It was as Shayne thought , so he had come prepared and the water loss stopped.
I appreciated the time Shayne took to assure me that I was not running dollars of hot water out onto the roof and the fact he made time to fix it that day possibly knowing I still was a… little concerned. It was nice to actually have access to the expert. I would highly recommend them to family and friend and anyone reading this."

"The actual job was quoted for 200$ including everything, but at the end they charged me 550 for 3 hours of a plumber time.
The material used was less than 50$ worth, they charged me 250$ for 2-4 meter drinking water plastic pipe, and couple of elbows. When I complained, they were extremely rude. Couldn't justify their value for the material. Awkward experience, please don't use these guys.
The Owner is extremely non professional and rude man. "

"Amin called me a week or so before we went to the job explaining what he wanted done and i gave him an estimate for one hours work and materials of $200 + gst , when we got to the job it was bigger than he explained hence taking longer and costing more. Amin called me after the job and began to threaten me, that if i did not do the job for $200 he would put bad reviews all over the internet about Go with the flow , i explained the job full detail to Amin would not listen and slammed the phone down in my ear."

"Very fast response from Shayne after requesting a quote online at http://gowiththeflow.co.nz/plumbing-wellington. Very reasonable quote for replacing storm-damaged guttering and strengthening remaining gutters on our two story property. Shayne helped answer questions from our insurance company to reduce the problems to a single claim, and was available the next week to come and make the repairs. Very professional, friendly fast service. Highly recommend!"

After being treated extremely badly and shocking service from another plumbing company I was nervous about trusting another plumber but one of my rentals hot water cylinder urgently needed sorting. I can trust them leaving my small dog in the property while they are doing their job. The second job was shower enclosure installation. The service was quick and Shane responded well to my queries. "Shane from Go With the Flow Plumbing really went above and beyond for me when I was in a stressful situation.
I was planning a home birth and had a portable birthing pool in my lounge I needed to fill with warm water. I had visited Bunnings and mitre 10 looking for some advice on hoses and tap attachments. Nobody was able to give me any workable solutions on how to get the pool filled with a hose and I was thinking I would have to fill it with buckets which would take forever. I went into a… plumbing trade store to see if they had any ideas. The guy in there was no help whatsoever and made me feel like a complete moron. I left in tears. I was due to go into labour anytime and after speaking to three different plumbing merchants I still had no idea how I was going to have my water birth. Finally in despair I called Go With the Flow and explained my situation. Shane instantly suggested instead if sending one of his guys out, I just hook up my outside hose to the laundry taps. It was such an obvious solution I couldn't believe I hadn't figured it out myself. ( not to mention the other three so called experts) he stayed on the phone with me while I hooked it up to make sure it worked. Thanks Shane for taking the time to give this hysterical pregnant woman free advice when no one else could."

"Firstly I would like to commend Shayne on doing such a brilliant and thorough job.
After discovering we had a leak in our gas pipe our major concern (especially with a baby on the way) was to make sure we are living in a healthy and safe environment. I contacted Go With The Flow and Shayne did not hesitate to make our job a top priority. I have dealt with some very rude and disrespectful tradesmen in the past but Shayne is definitely not one of those men he was really great to deal with and… put me at ease straight away explaining every part of his process with me so I understood exactly what was going on and why. And now that the leak has been repaired and the job done to a very high standard I can honestly say my mind is at ease and I feel more confident.

"Disgusted by the ridiculous prices this company charge! Also clearly incompetent and/or liars after stating they were at our property for an hour and half - when other gas fitters came to the same conclusion as they did within 10mins.
The quote for the work to be done was $1200 more than three other companies I attained quotes from! That doesn't include $180 for coming to the house and determining there was a gas leak in the first place.
Owner then tried threatening tactics so that I… wouldn't post on this website.

DONT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!! RIP OFF!!!!"

"I\'ve used Go with the Flow on two occasions over the past 2 months, the first, for a new toilet, the second, for a new external hot water system. On both occasions, the techs arrived on time and completed both tasks before the time stated. Go with the Flow are completely clear in regards to their prices and hourly rate, which is the best in Wellington, they\'re reliable, tidy and honest. The job was done better and looked better than i had expected. Shane was easy to get hold of any time i need to talk with him i could not fault there workman ship.. If you want a job done well on time and done right i suggest Go with the flow are the right guys for the job

"We got quotes from four different companies and although their quote was slightly higher than the lowest, they had the product and could fix an urgent issue the next day. Shayne was prompt in turning up, had the job done very quickly and his work standard was excellent.
Foot note: I noticed that this company has had some very bad feedback which actually shocked me. I can only say they were really very good and professional in all aspects of this job. Thanks guys and I will have no… hesitation using you again. I also used this company many years ago to re-roof our house and again they were excellent then too."

"I would not recommend this company after having a disappointing and stressful experience with them when they came to unblock a drain at my property (February 2013). The invoice was excessive because the trademan Matt Charman overstated his hours considerably and he also inaccurately recorded the facts (which was reflected on the invoice). Go With The Flow took me to the Disputes Tribunal earlier this month after I complained about the charges. The outcome of the Tribunal hearing resulted in… my favour with a considerable reduction in the hours charged. As a customer I\'m looking for honest trademen and Go With The Flow failed in this regard."

"Go with the Flow was called to fix a blocked drain. On their first visit they were unable to clear the blockage so needed to bring in different equipment. Of course this meant they were able to bill us for two visits. On their second visit they used a water blaster to clear the drain which worked but at the same time blew raw sewage out the toilet, all over the bathroom and out the hall of our neighbours flat. At first they were unwilling to clean up the mess or pay to have it cleaned up.… Eventually we convinced them to pay the bill, but they dragged their feet the whole time and were very difficult to deal with. After all that, they then sent an inflated bill for their work with no reduction for the total balls-up that occurred. Do not, under any circumstances use these cowboys!"

"Came to Go with the flow plumbing via Drain Spy & their advertised $95 dollar special to clear drains. The special conditions meant the cheap offer didn\'t apply to me. Asked for their hourly rate & was told $145 per hour.
Our drain was cleared over 2 visits and we where charged for a full hour each visit even though he wasn\'t on site for 2 full hours.
Was invoiced $150 per hour gst rather than the $145 quoted.
Invoice didn\'t have a bank account to pay the finds into so had to… chase them to pay them.

Heard an advert on radio for discounted work so rang to check if further work required would qualify at discounted rate. Sadly declined the advertised rates so have changed plumbers."
