  "Absolute pleasure to deal with had no issues with communications with supply issues hold due to the pandemic and the lock down that Auckland is as in but once that was over and the roofing materials arrived and a date was planned for the the replacement it only took a day for the the roof to be replaced . It makes a huge difference in appearance and it feels so different much nicer less of a draft not to mention no more leaky old rusty roof to look at. . Fantastic job thanks ???? "

  "This company and their team of roofers did a good job overall and having had time to have a good look the detailing has been well done.
  The job was done in good time and with no fuss. They were quite accommodating when I wanted a couple of other things done or changed.
  Downside is that when the scaffolding was taken down they put a small hole in the side of the house - however this is a different company subcontracted. "

It took a while before they could start the job, which was completed in two parts, but it was very good workmanship and they were very good at keeping us informed on progress.   "Very happy with this company's work. We wanted the roof of an old farmhouse assessed. They came when they said they would - just before Christmas (!) and confirmed that the roof was sound although we needed 3 leaking skylights removed. The job was undertaken in January and the roof repainted in Feb - a lovely job. We have had no leaks through the autumn and winter. We are very happy with the job and would recommend this company."

  "We definitely do not recommend JS Roofing. We commissioned them to replace our roof. The quoted timeframe was 7 days (in good weather) however it has now been more than 3 months and they have still not fixed the damage caused by the roof leaking due to the flashing not being closed.
  Joel originally sent two roofers whose work was declared substandard and not compliant with building code (in terms of the apron flashing) by an independent roofing consultant. Much of their work had to be redone… by two other roofing employees who were only sent out over a month later. We have now been waiting two months to have the interior damage fixed due to the leak. Even before commencing work, Joel threatened to walk off the job with 50% of the total cost and bill me for the balance when I enquired as to when his workers would be onsite and commencing the job. Because he had received over $6000 of my payment I was obliged to continue to use his services despite his unprofessional behaviour.
  
  If this not cowboy behaviour, I don't know what is. He has displayed bullying tactics and aggressive behaviour, he sent incompetent workers to do the work, he has threatened to walk off the job with my money, and after two months still cannot provide me with a date that the interior will be fixed.
  
  Fortunately for me the roof is visible from my upstairs room, so I could see these problems as they occurred. I had to engage an independent roofing specialist who confirmed my concerns about the work performed by the first two employees Joel sent.
  
  What should have been a short and efficient process has been an unnecessarily long and unpleasant experience which is still continuing."

  "I take exception to basically everything that Carol Doz Gerard has said in the above statement. Simply because its a completely misconceiving load of crap that only such a person as herself could dream up. She is still to be invoiced for the final 50 % of the work we completed early April and this is because State insurance have a major discrepancy with the amount of remedial work she is trying to claim over the leak that occurred. The above statement is completely false. We happily invite any potential customer reading this to contact us to arrange work Site visits and phone references of our most recent customers. The general feeling received from 95 % of our customers is that they are more than happy with the quality of service provided. And I will personally endeavour to keep it that way. "

  "The new roof looks good now. We were quoted a reasonable price. There was a leak which happened around a chimney flashing which was fixed. There were some miscommunication with the job subsequently around fixing the damage to the interior from the leak and the installation of an extra metal sheet. The metal sheet has been fixed. The interior repair is in the process of being resolved with Joel. "

  "I had been looking around and asking other people about roofing contractors. JS Roofing were working on a property down my street. I asked the homeowner and looked on your web-site. Rang Joel he came around the next day to have a look and provided me with a quote. He keep me informed all along the way and Joel and the boys had it completed within 3-4 days during spells in the bad weather we had in December. Did a good job answered all my emails and phone calls immediately. Joel paid a visit… later that month to check that all was correct. Am happy with the result and would recommend them to other people."

  "My daughter and her husband live in Wellington and I live in Auckland. From the very first contact with JS Roofing I have been impressed. Emails sent are answered promptly and efficiently. The price to replace the total roof was too high for my daughter so Joel came back with the option of carrying out repairs just to get them over their financial hurdle they have at the moment.   "All seemed to go well with JS Roofing until the end, when he invoiced me for more than the quote. I decided to pay for extra materials (nails) hed got (without checking with me first) but felt it cheeky to be charging me extra labour when it was his fault he hadnt included it within the quote and explained this when making the payment.

  He then sent me an abusive email in which he called me names and accused me of intimidation. All over $200.

  Wouldnt recommend."

  "JS ROOFING Is fully aware that if an old roof is removed for re roofing and it is discovered, by the contractor that there is insuficiant or unsatisfactory fixings between the perlins and rafters, more fixings must be added to ensure timber is secure before new roof is installed. Thus to ensure contractors work complies with the NZ Building Code. It is common knowledge and also states in our terms and conditions that Extra work does sometimes occur. We did try to contact Emma at the time, But could not. We had no option but to proceed. We went out of our way to ensure the whole system was braught back to a good standard. And get the above."

  "High standard of workmanship and good problem solving. Roofing is a line of work that is always affected by weather, so I sympathise with JS Roofing that they had to juggle this with other jobs, hence the less than perfect score re timing. Otherwise, a straightforward transaction."
