"This reference is written with great respect to Kevin who I have had the pleasure of working with on two projects. I was
recommended Kevin by my sister-in-law after he completed work on their home. Kevin has also completed work for my
mother-in-law.
My first project engaged Kevin for approximately 3 months, renovating an apartment. When my second project
came to fruition, I had no hesitation on who we needed for the builder. This renovation was significantly bigger and more
complicated.… Kevin completely gutted the house, replacing ¾ of the windows, rebuilding, relining and finishing all the

building work on his own. He works extremely hard and is very professional to deal with. We talked daily about the project

and Kevin would raise all the decisions that he required to move forward at these discussions – be they in the morning

before I went to work, during the day or when I got home. He was never intrusive but direct and clear. Kevin would always

explain the issue or decision to be made clearly, outlining the pros and cons of various solutions. I always felt fully informed

and Kevin always clearly let me make all the decisions. During all of this time, we have never had the slightest bit of

conflict.

All other aspects such as quoting, invoicing, timekeeping was as expected. Kevin works very hard (11.5hrs per day), turning

up at 7.30am in the morning like clockwork. I have found him a person of great integrity and honesty – this type of honesty

comes very rarely. I would have no hesitation referring Kevin onto others and would most certainly have him back anytime."

"Kevin has undertaken major alterations for me. Initially Kevin completely renovated the downstairs to be suitable for my elderly mother, including additions. I was so happy with the work Kevin had done that I decided while I had a good builder I would completely renovate the upstairs as well. During the time the renovations were being done I had health problems and appreciated Kevin’s quiet and considerate manner.
Kevin’s work is exemplary in every aspect. Often when I asked for something… to be done he would, in his quiet way, think for

a bit and then give me some alternative options that I hadn’t thought of. He also made suggestions that enhanced the

renovations in regard to things I hadn’t even considered doing. Kevin would always take the time to explain things to me

and ensure that I understood. He also would help me understand issues that related to other work being done on the

house, such as plumbing. I feel Kevin always had my interest at heart and always found sage solutions for every problem.

Kevin treated my home with great respect and at the end of each day left everything tidy as I was living in the house. The

quality of Kevin’s workmanship, in my view, is excellent. Kevin enjoys renovation work and is a very good problem solver. I

feel truly blessed to have had Kevin renovate my home and when I undertake another renovation project the only builder I

would use is Kevin. I would wait until he was available. Kevin was recommended to me by a close friend and had been recommended to her by a close friend. I have had many tradesmen work for me, Kevin being the most outstanding of them all."

"We have engaged Kevin as our builder now on three separate occasions. The first time was to undertake a complete
renovation of our family home. The second time was to renovate and complete a significant addition to a historic home in
West Harbour that we developed, and the third occasion was to complete a renovation of the kitchen, bathroom and laundry at my parents’ home. Every time, we have been totally satisfied with all aspects of Kevin’s work. He has always proven himself to be… entirely trustworthy, to the extent that whilst I was overseas on business I provided Kevin with my credit card and pin so as to enable him to make purchases on my behalf, in my absence.

During the renovation of our family home I initially kept a close eye on the hours Kevin worked. It was not that I did not trust

him; I simply wanted to ensure we were only paying for work that had been done. At billing time the hours charged were

often below the figures I had kept so I soon stopped keeping track. I would however periodically make a note of hours

worked and at no time was there ever a hint of overcharging on Kevin’s part.

The quality of his work was to such a high standard that when we came to sell our house, ten years after the completion of

the renovation, many prospective buyers believed the work had only recently been completed. This was testament to the

quality of Kevin’s work and aided us in getting the best possible price for our home.

Whilst Kevin worked on the house in West Harbour, many neighbours commented to us that they were stunned at the work

ethic of our builder. Even the Building Inspector from Waitakere City Council had praised not only Kevin’s work ethic but the

quality of his workmanship. Had we any doubts at all about Kevin’s billing practices, work ethic, workmanship or

trustworthiness we would not have continued to engage him as our builder. I have on many occasions recommended him

to family, friends and colleagues, all of whom have thanked me for the referral.

I have no doubt that on each of the jobs Kevin has worked for us, he has saved us a significant sum of money. I can state

without reservation that I have found Kevin to be a man of integrity and honesty who displays a strong sense of fair play in

his every day dealings with people."

"Whilst work was completed for this customer on numerous occasions to their satisfaction, unfortunately this one particular job referred to had some problems. These were rectified to the best of our abilities at a cost to us and a Code of Compliance was issued by Council on completion. This client has recommended us on numerous occasions."
