    "Never again would I use this company. My experience is identical to many others on this site, likewise I would never had anything to do with them if I had known of this reputation. Totally ripped off by Mike Hardy when I ended up with a bill of $647.32 for a leaking toilet cistern. Where he really gets you is in the mark up on materials, as an example a Fluidmaster 15mm Side Inlet Valve with a charge of $171.63 that is available retail at $70 and trade price even cheaper. I could quote other examples of this price gouging. And don't think you can appeal for a more reasonable approach to this outrageous charging, with the threat of debt collection and an 'administration fee" of $50.00. This guy has no conscience."

    "Update; DISPUTE TRIBUNAL Ordered Paragon to pay $345.0 in damages.
    RIP OFF, I asked Mike Hardy (Paragon) to replace the RMC 8 bar valve on my gas water cylinder and he used the wrong part with different pressure value. He also overcharge for the wrong part, the retail is $100 and he invoiced $250, I asked him to rectify, instead he came, entered my house without permission and removed the valve on Friday afternoon leaving my family without hot water for the whole weekend . The only reply for my emails was \"If full invoice not paid on due date we will remove valve\" the invoice was on 8/06/2016 and he removed the valve on Friday 17/06/2016.

    "I wish I had read the comments on this company prior to using them, as I most certainly wouldn't have in hindsight. I was getting work completed and asked our property manager to contact them on my behalf as I was overseas. They replaced parts which didn't fix the problem then sent a bill for nearly $400 and said a new hob was recommended. Why replace the parts, they are supposedly the professionals and if they didn't think the parts would fix the problem WHY do it?

    I have copied their guarantee off their website (see below) - means nothing as I am a very unhappy customer 100% not satisfied and the level of communications wasn't sufficient. They could have fixed some of this but wouldn't even give the new parts at their buy price. Short term thinking Paragon not only have you lost any further work from me but I'm pretty sure the property manager won't be using you again either.

    We GUARANTEE that our operators communicate with you to a sufficient level, keeping you informed every step of the way.

    Would have preferred some contact saying, the new parts won't fix problem prior to being charged.

    Lots of competition around so suggest you look at other companies.

    "Dreadful experience all round. $850 to NOT FIX a problem with an Escea gas fire. Then the sole contact person at Paragon- Mike - just does a disappearing act: won't return at least 5 calls, doesn't respond to at least 3 emails - just ducks for cover. What a pathetic response. Worse than this he blamed all the problems on the fire manufacturer, Escea, and told me how ridiculously difficult they are to deal with. I called Escea directly and could not have had a better customer experience. They were apologetic for the actions, or inactions, of Paragon without being in any way unprofessional. They arranged to correct my fire's problems quickly and completely free of charge, and have since done just that! Outstanding. Do buy an Escea product but DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER USING PARAGON PLUMBING."

    "Whilst this simple emergency job on a Saturday morning was completed okay I am still recovering from the cost. There was $ 175 call out fee plus $ 32 for each quarter hour, I was charged for an hour but the plumber was only on site for less than 30 minutes. The person who responded to my request for assistance was unable to give me the charging rates on the telephone or even when he was on site. In addition, he didn't give me any paper work after finishing the job, just updating his iPad with job details without seeking my input or agreement. . Then on Monday came the bill. If you use have to use Paragon establish costs s before employing them!"

    "I asked Paragon to come out to check our gas fireplace as there was some scorching on the gib above it. They suggested attaching a flashing to divert heat which did not work. When I received the $500+ bill I raised with them the fact the flashing didn't work and was basically fobbed off and told 'it's a design problem not a gas fitter problem'. Any further attempts to get a successful resolution to the problem were ignored by Mike. I would rate my experience with Paragon 1 out of 10 and strongly do not recommend."

    "very unhappy with the standard of work it was appalling, even after i directed the operative to the likely correct location of the pipe he still cut open the polished floor and then took out a huge piece of gib wall which I had to replace and still he did not locate the pipe 2 hohurs gone no progress made, pipe turned out to be were i said it was in the first place, left the place untidy well i did the tidying up, price was incredilble you would have thought they had re-plumbed the house and installed a new hot water cylinder not simply connected the fridge to the existing water supply which was located directly behind the fridge.I would recommend you DO NOT use this company not unless you are in the business of taking huge risks that is. ZERO RATING FROM ME"

    "We have used them twice but certainly won't use them again. Paragon Plumbing is charging top dollars ($130 for the first hour and $90 afterwards. The quality of work delivered is not reflecting their rates. Also it was very disappointing that Mike was not prepared to tidy up a messy job and we had to get another plumber in to sort it out."

    "Mike was easy to communicate with and super prompt, so I felt confident to start with, as he came recommended- I didn\'t ask his call out price- my BIG mistake.

    Once he got to tenant\'s failed to communicate issue before job done as requested. I got pinged with a \'one hour minimum charge\' for clearing some rubbish from the waste disposal. Didn\'t mind that much, however the labour cost at $130 gst / hour was exactly double what a previous plumber charged couple of months ago. I had decided not to use the previous guy as he also failed to communicate issue once getting to the tenant\'s before going ahead with job.

    I guess some tradesmen think that landlords are there for ripping off. We\'re not all speculators here, some of us have jobs and trying to make an honest living.
