"I had the installation done a few years ago now, the job seemed reasonably priced, and the tradesmen turned up on time and finished the job on time.
It wasn\'t until about a year later I noticed various pieces falling down and when I had a good look the poly wasn\'t flush up against each other so there were gabs, there were brackets used but sparsely and no sealant to seal the gaps. I was pretty naive being a first home owner and did not phone Polyman to come and fix the bad workmanship. It wasn\'t until I applied for a insulation grant to help me buy my wood burner that I realised how bad the job was. I was unable to get the grant of $500 until I spent $250 fixing up the poly. I rang Ali back and told him what had happened he offered to come and fix it for free, I was very happy about this. Unfortunately when he came they only fixed up the pieces that were obvious - only about 5 or 6 panels and then he seemed to loose interest and he and his helper left after about 45 mins saying it was all fixed. The inspector came back and said no it was still incomplete. So finally I paid another company to fix up Polyman\'s mess and got my wood burner installed. I am totally amazed at the difference in the warmth in my house. I lived with a crappy insulation job for nearly 5 years and wondered why my house never retained any heat, now I know why. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

"What a joke. Ali arrived to a steep site to quote in his jandals, depsite being pre-warned. He underestimated the required product quantities due to lack of decent measuring tape, so when it was due to be installed the installers left half way through. They delivered to the wrong address and I had to move all the EXPOL from the neighbours myself. The installers were inexperienced and slack. They removed some building paper but not all and left their own mess strewn under our house. Despite warnings about the steep site they did not bring adequate safety gear and could not satisfactorily complete the job. Three requested return visits did little to improve the situation. We ended up contacting EXPOL direct, and had the sales manager visit our site, so we negotiated a resolution with them directly. In addition I felt unsafe as a female at home alone on the return remediation visits by Polyman employees and once pretended not to be home. Not an experience I would recommend to anyone. Steer clear. Oh, and the EXPOL still drops out occasionally in moderate winds, where they failed to use the requested brackets, and they did not use protective measures on electrical wires as promised so we have had to resolve that ourselves. An ongoing nightmare experience."

"I was initially impressed with Mr Boyu's punctuality, value for money quote. He seemed honest and trustworthy.

I was to be sadly disappointed.

He told me he completed the install for 75% of our job. At the end of the day he stated that he had run out of materials and would return the following day to complete the job.

I had paid him around 60% deposit upfront.
He requested that I pay him the remainder of the money.
I refused to do so but would pay him in full upon completion of the job. Mr Boyu has not been heard from since. I have tried calling him on different phone numbers for 6 weeks to no avail. Our job remains uncompleted and I am out of pocket to the tune of $1300 as essentially as of his "work" will need to be revised. His work has been reassessed by another installer and found to be grossly inadequate. The work he has done is incomplete. There are no plastic brackets to hold up the polystyrene, there are large gaps in the insulation which will now need to be filled and almost 3 rooms worth of underfloor poly still to be installed. To rectify his "work" will cost hundreds of dollars. I am also left with the uneasy feeling that he may not have installed around the electrical wiring as per manufacturers instructions. Unless this tradesman has been incarcerated, deported or passed away his failure to contact me has been completely unacceptable. Have nothing to do with this man!! I can think of a variety of words to describe him. COWBOY seems somewhat complimentary. Mr Boyu if you receive notification of this review, please contact me before I pursue reimbursement through the disputes tribunal"

"After trying to install expol (and hating it) I decided to get the pros in. I had bought all the wrong size, so they had to cut down every sheet. Paying to get this done was one of the most satisfying investments i've made. Polyman were excellent and highly recommened"

"I cant complain about the price, it was quoted and we accepted the quote.

The job was very messy, when he quoted he said "people would come and look at the job ang Wow who did this? nothing could be further from that.

The used blunt knives so there are foam balls everywhere and they did not clean up properly.

I have had to get them back twice to fix minor problems and this has been done straight away, no problems.

"They were a little more expensive than the other quotes I got, but I felt good about Alister, he really knew his stuff. The ladies in the office were also extremely helpful from the start. I found the others were more interested in just getting here and pitching me.

They also gave me a 3 year guarantee on the workmanship. 2 years more than everyone else. 3 years in some cases.

I would recommend Polyman to anyone, and have a couple of friends contacting then to do it as well."
