98%"We started a renovation just before the first COVID lockdown. Everything was obviously disrupted and delayed by that. We also had the various challenges that old houses tend to throw up. Overall, Troy's team, particularly Tom and Dillon, were everything that we could reasonably ask for, in sometimes difficult circumstances. The quality of their work is very high so far as we can tell, as is that of their usual subcontractors. To top that off they were courteous and friendly. Our clients first approached QBS at the very start of the project, and we have worked collaboratively with them from the concept design through to the end of construction. This approach was invaluable to us as Architects, as we were able to discuss construction methodology, material selections and costings during the design process, which resulted in a smooth construction period.
The design of the house had a number… of carefully detailed features, and QBS took great care to ensure that the design intent was realised to a high standard. The team at QBS had excellent communication throughout the project and really cared about achieving the best end result for our clients. We would be happy to refer QBS to our clients for future projects and look forward to working with them again in the future.

100%"We decided to use QBS Limited for our house renovation. They were brilliant. In the initial planning phase Troy gave us some great guidance that saved us around $45,000 from what was originally planned. James, the site Foreman, and the QBS builders on site, were amazing to deal with.
James and the team of guys on site were so great to get on with. Nothing was too much to deal with, even catching our runaway dogs, and they were extremely helpful and kept us abreast of what was happening at all… times.
Any time I had a problem or query, I could call James and he would sort it out. Throughout the whole project they gave us good sound advice for any problems that we encountered. If there were a number of options to solve an issue, James and Troy would give us the rough cost and good advice for each option. Their advice was invaluable. They have done so many renovations and builds that they have great insight into what really works and the pros and cons.
All the Tradies that Troy organised were really fantastic to work with and all very skilful. The timing of every part of the renovation was organised perfectly, including Tradies on site and delivery of materials. The Tradies were also very helpful and so easy to work with. They offered advice on their particular area that really made a difference to the final outcome.
The whole project ran extremely smoothly, all the Tradies worked together well (no blaming each other or getting in each other’s way). We had access to comprehensive online tracking of both the project costs and the project progress, so no surprises. This allowed us to forecast to the bank our upcoming costs and where the project was at (we found out very quickly that this is really important to make things with the bank go smoothly).
Any issues along the way were raised with us, discussed thoroughly, and resolved with our full involvement and the best advice.
The project came in just slightly over the original budget but, with the some of the original 1950’s and 1970’s poor building quality to fix up, we came in remarkably close to our original budget (thanks to Troy managing to come in under budget on some of the other parts of the project).
Projects like this are all about the people, and you couldn’t ask for a better qualified, easy to work with, well organised, skilful team lead by Troy and James. Our house has turned out far better than I thought it would and the journey has been fantastic the QBS Limited. I can’t recommend them highly enough. We had to live on site during the build so were conscious of what that impact would have particularly with the fact that we had a 2 year old. James, Tane and Billy were so good at accomodating us being on site, they cleaned up the site daily, water blasted the entrance, swept and ensured the property was safe and kept to a liveable standard. There communication was fantastic, they kept us well informed of… progress and provided a list of targets at the start of the week and an update of what had been achieved at the end of the week.
Troy kept the project running, meeting with us bi-weekly to ensure the reno was on time and budget. Inevitably things changed but Troy always acted with our best interest at heart. He challenged our Architect and protected us from Tradesman that didn't quite deliver on their promise. Trust between you and your builder is hugely important when embarking on a renovation and Troy certainly appeased our minds.
We've already recommended QBS to friends as a high quality trustworthy construction company. 100%"Fantastic service! Excellent work from the team at QBS with our job. Full build converting an empty warehouse to an upmarket fitness facility. Troy was fantastic to deal with as he was honest and open about all aspects of the build, kept us informed of ongoing changes and progress and steered us in the right direction when trying to bring the cost down without sacrificing the quality of the finished product.
Great group of tradies he has working with him, respectful, on time and they got the… job done fast which meant we could open our doors to paying clients on time!
A genuine guy that fronts this company as when we had an issue with the council that was going to potentially derail our whole project he was understanding and able to accomodate our new time frames and allowed us to put the project on hold when he would have been entitled to charge us for our delays etc.
We have nothing but good things to say about the process of dealing with these guys and the final product they produced. They even project managed our job and made the whole process an absolute breeze.
Would highly recommend to others if looking for a local builder and team that will treat you like a good friend and get the job done to a high standard. 25%"We asked Troy to come fix a few things around our properly. He gave us a quote and we arranged a time to start the work.
After inquiring as to why he was late we were first told that they were buying equipment and then 10 minutes later (half an hour after the arranged time) we were told that they had made a mistake with the dates and so we arranged another time.
At the second arranged time we received a text message to say that he couldn't do the work.

100%"I contacted several building companies for quotes on my bathroom renovation - 3 came out to quote and the difference in price was vast. Although I was on a budget I was also concerned about how long the job would take and that there would be no nasty surprises.
I found Troy to be extremely reliable, he arrived when he said he would, quoted me quickly and explained exactly what would be done - he also offered advice which turned out to be very valuable to em.
Once I had given him the… go-ahead - he started the job on time, worked really efficiently and completed in record time. He kept me informed regarding the extra costs of unexpected plumbing required and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the work.

98%"I was doing some renovation on my villa and Troy was one of the builders that I had a quote from. I did pay a little bit more but by choice as from the start of quoting Troy added so much more value by pointing out what could be done, rather than me asking 5 builders for a quote based on what I wanted. Troy delievered on time, exceeded my expectation on quality and result. I will continue to buy villas to renovate and there is no doubt, Troy will be the only builder I work with from a… consultation through to delivery stage with - he is awesome and his work exceptional!!
