    "**DO NOT RECOMMEND** Robert and his team are extremely unprofessional. Had a simple house renovation job which included installation of track lighting in the kitchen, installation of a central heating system and some other minor works that you would expect an electrical contractor to be able to complete.

    No consideration towards health and safety. Their senior electrician decided to brace himself on gib that was stacked against a wall, he fell from it scraping his leg. All the sheets of gib were also damaged. On the first day of the job Rob's team got onto the roof with no safety gear on to have a casual chat with the builders. They had no reason to be on the roof at that time.

    Simple tasks such as installing any lights and power sockets were a nightmare as Rob and his team did not seem to know how to find a stud in the wall or use a stud finder. Leaving a newly painted paint work looking like a block of gouda cheese. See photos attached.

    The control panel for the heating unit was mounted loose. I have tried to contact Robert many times and have been promised he would come fix things personally but it has almost been 2 years and have not heard from him.

    "I have had endless problems with Robert and his team. I do find his website rather hypocritical. Talk about why choose Robizek, (We provide an efficient and punctual service so our customers are never kept waiting. We are honest and reliable) are hardly reflective of my, and others who initially provided his contact details, subsequent experience. Following almost 6 months of trying to get Robert to rectify a problem created through his faulty workmanship (our inspection led to concerns that our house was at risk of catching fire) I have had to engage another company .

    Be very careful seeking the assistance of this company. Robert does not respond, promises the world and seldom lives up to any expectations.

    "Gate installation and automation. As advised by Builders Crack here is my experience after three years and over 18 months installation period leaving out all the emotion.
    Gate was second hand with old installation drill holes hidden with black plastic and paint. Automation hardware and labour quality skill was ruled to be inferior also ie gate was too light of actuator, posts were not gate posts, hardware and electrics were cheap and inadequate, poor install damaged house exterior.
    No electrical paperwork/certificate issued for new wiring.

    Posts were rusting away due to being untreated raw steel boxing.

    Holes and channels cut out of driveway and left open.

    Rude and unhelpful land line staff.

    Posts were not concreted into the ground, only gravel was used with a 50mm covering of cement, causing slow eventual complete collapse of install.

    Gate automation never worked correctly and failed completely every few days.

    Total cost of repairs by alternate gate Installation Engineers was $3000 and a high quality result.

    Robert failed to turn up as booked or as promised and after taking $6000 in full payment I saw him more often in court than on sight. Robert blamed his staff, took no personal responsibility of which he continued to claim throughout the long and drawn out court process.

    Finally after 3 years in and out of court being messed around with delays and appeals the Disputes Tribunal awarded me a refund of $5700 (all of which is not surprisingly now also past due for payment to me requiring further dramas with Court Bailiff collection proceedings).

    Happy to share all court paperwork including extensive hi def photos illustrating the worst electrical and gate installation work I have ever seen.

    Do not be left feeling as sick as I was after the worst experience with a contractor in NZ.

    Be cautious. Use this website, use due diligence and choose carefully.

    "I have had the same hellish experience with our electronic gate as explained by Grant in one of the other comments.
    Job commenced June 2014. Quoted and paid $5000 .Gate worked for about 6 months. After 12 months, the new concrete that was laid while installing the gate has broken. The gate has not been operational since last 6 months. Screws have fallen off the gate railing and the discs. on the gate do not stay on the channel.
    Have contacted Robert several times - different story every time and a promise to show up which has not happened to date.

    Called in other gate companies to fix the problem - all of them were consistent in their feedback of poor workmanship.

    Very poor service and poor workmanship. Will definitely not be recommending them to anyone.
