"Grayson from Shower Solutions has been poor with communication, wouldn't come out and inspect the finished job when I raised concerns about the floor still being damp next to the shower. The door was originally installed on the wrong side. They turned up with the wrong shower tray and then charged a fee to drive and get another one. "Shower installed less than one year ago ledge glass already broken seals fraying very poor service and workmanship! Rude customer service no follow up or warranty, would give a solution wanting to charge an exorbitant fee! Paid over 2k for work glass ledge shattered terribly installed seals cracked and broken offered no repair. Grayson and his wife? He came to us a quote on a Saturday and the following week, the team had started work in our bathroom on the Thursday.

Aware that we have a baby on the way anytime (Within 2 weeks) , he made sure that workers came in everyday to complete the works as efficiently and as quickly as possible.

We are very grateful for that and we have a whole brand new bathroom in about a week and a half.

"Grayson did not oversee his subcontractors. Grayson was not there on the last day of the job to ensure it was completed. His builder left a hole in my ceiling. I paid another builder to complete the job. I was quoted by Grayson but ended up paying 40% more than quote. No communication whatsoever of the 40% increase. I do not recommend Shower Solutions."

"Grayson was very prompt and efficient and moreover was able to start the job immediately. We were on a time constraint and this suited our purpose. He coordinated well with the other contractors like the tiler, painter, plumber and electrician, getting everything done seamlessly.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!
After Grayson being so lovely for the quotation, I decided to go with him (I've left the feedback I did for that last year below this update to be fair & also don't be fooled if you have the same 'nice' experience). He quoted just under $50,000 which I paid in instalments, also another $17,000+ invoice with a few days to pay leaving me in a financially dire situation. That invoice was partly for firewall gib which he blamed the draftsman for not putting on the plans, however Grayson knew that whole wall lining was being demolished with the rest of the bathroom & redone, it should have been included in the materials in the quote. He charged me $800 for a shower niche AFTER I had told him during the quote I wanted the same layout as I already had... & I already had a niche. There is much more but I've no space to list every single thing that went wrong or the ensuing scenarios.

I've had nothing but grief during the whole renovation which started mid March 2022 and is still not finished. I have had EVERYTHING go wrong and called it quits on him recently, getting another electrician, builder and plumber to complete the job shortly.

His communication is substandard both with his subcontractors and with me. He did not oversee his sub contractors nor touch base at the end of them working on aspects of it, e.g. finding out my vanity broke apart when deinstalled in March but told that months later thereby adding around $1200 extra expense I have to find now instead of prior warning. I also had a stone vanity benchtop made right back at the beginning to fit the vanity that I thought I would be reusing and also purchased a new basin. That cost $1000 and now I have to work the new vanity around those.

I had mortar dripping off between the tiles and tiles falling off; had to settle for my second selection of tiles because he didn't read my email properly to check the first lot were available. My vision of my bathroom is totally different to what I originally wanted but it will have to do. When I got the second choice, the quantities for walls and floor were swapped around and had to get another pallet. I was without ANY BATHROOM OR LAUNDRY FACILITIES for nearly 10 weeks - had to bathe at work & colleagues homes and use a laundrette, 4 weeks were waiting for 2 council inspections, however due to the length it was taking, Grayson informed me he was going to use my job as a "fill in". I'm lucky that I've not had Covid while this was all going on but having other stresses to deal with has compounded everything.

Grayson blamed me for the heated towel rail reinstall being in the wrong place - the new wall tiles being drilled through because "I" did not tell the electricians where it was to go - I instructed Grayson that EVERYTHING was to go back where it was deinstalled from. He did not relay that to the electricians. The tiles had to be replaced. Extra power point was added when I asked for it not to be - just provision for it, yet on the other wall a power point was totally missed off. I've had constant back and forth by the sub contractors fixing stupid mistakes that shouldn't happen.

Honestly so much has gone wrong then 'fixed' (some not), I do not want anyone else to go through what I have, but unfortunately I see they have because I discovered a Fair go episode from May 2022 a few days back on youtube at the same time he was doing a terrible job on mine.

On & on it goes. Plastic protective floor cover on my carpet & 2.5yr old decking to the gate removed 3 Aug after nearly 5 months causing damage. This requires the whole deck to the stripped and restained - I have told Grayson to book it for October. It is too damp a season now to do this. Everything has been and is incredibly stressful.
NO overseeing of subcontractors; bad communication including emails; NO true project management; new fixtures costing thousands left filthy when subcontractors finished and bald face lying and blame.

Edit to respond to Grayson's comment:
~Try to twist facts and justify your incredibly slack attitude to this job all you want. I have the emails; I have the images and videos and I'm happy to set up a separate webpage to save others going through what I have.
~You manipulated the situation to your own advantage because the remediation had gone so far down the track.
~You had no intention of coming back to do anything after I told you to just get out of my house and life after nearly 5 months.
~You have kept funds meant specifically for fittings for the bathroom I paid for within the quote of which, you have no intention of reimbursing me.
~You did not complete the job prior to me saying I'd had enough - I could not handle more and more issues than I had to deal with due to error after error; one of the worst being the tiles - you left my options too late to check my first option - you never told me they were unavailable and did not tell me I would be getting the second option until they were delivered .
~You turned your back on even ensuring this major project got the Certificate of Compliance and have left that to me. Unbelievable.
~Remember - if your business had been exemplary I wouldn't be writing this.

I contacted Shower Solutions for an urgent quote for a planned solution to resolve issues with new expensive, substandard renovations that i had completed 18 months ago by another business. It is required for legal action. Shower Solutions was only 1 of 2 businesses of the 21 I contacted that were prepared to furnish a quote and I very much appreciate Grayson's empathetic, professional advice and extremely prompt turnaround to visit and complete the quote which in itself to me proves that he believes in the quality of the work he can provide to hopefully remedy my situation in the future."

"Hi Sarndra, I am really sorry you feel this way. Renovations are stressful and I do understand that this was difficult for you. the time frame is in part due to the council but also getting stock, and subcontractors whose schedules also blow out on other jobs which is out of my control. Bathrooms are the most complex rooms of the house, small spaces with every trade required. Some of what you are saying lacks context and gives quite an unfair perception of the events. Your first tile choice had to be imported from Italy which I was absolutely unable to do in the budget or time frame. In the process of removing it, your previous vanity and laundry cabinets fell apart when we took them out due to it not having any back support which was unfortunate but no fault of ours. You were not a fill in job, but when delays happen due to council or unquoted work we do have to juggle things and sometimes that means fitting parts into a schedule in any gaps we can create as there are also other customers to consider as well. The protection film should never have been put on your deck as it’s for carpet only. It was due to one of my team thinking they were doing the right thing and protecting your decking. I am really sorry that this happened. And we have arranged to come and strip and restain the deck. Yes, if we have not quoted something like a niche or an upgrade and it’s not listed in the scope of works it does need to be added and charged. You also requested expense upgrades which does bump up the cost significantly. The firewall was not due to my incompetence, the previous contractor made it so we could not pull the tiles out without ruining the integrity of the fire rated gib which then needed to be replaced. The council required information was not on your draftspersons files. This is not something Shower Solutions could have avoided. Renovations do have problems and I have stood up to fix everything that has cropped up. We have agreed with every solution along the way. It's really upsetting that you now give this awful feedback when the finished product looks amazing. Any work you are having plumbers and electricians coming in to complete has not been charged for by us, we are happy to return to complete the work when you have the items ready for us to install."

"It was time to renovate our bathrooms (20 year old). Checking google for bathroom renovation and we came across Shower Solutions.

We engaged them for a measurement and quote. Grayson was very efficient and honest on what was best for our space in the bathroom. We received the best quote (no hidden charges) upfront. "This was an unfortunate situation. I quoted a fixed price prior to starting. Stephanie supplied her own fittings and fixtures - these were not suitable for her water pressure or cylinder or the existing plumbing in her home which in turn meant we had to do additional plumbing work which added to the cost of her job. Stephanie was really unhappy about this but we had no choice as she would not change her plumbing gear. There were things added like electrical work to the job that were not quoted and the timeframe was pushed out by not being allowed access during lockdowns and then the customer being upset and annoyed because we were behind schedule. Stephanie then changed her mind multiple times on the tiles that she also provided and again these were not suitable for the layout that she wanted and this affected the price of laying the tiles, the layout of other tiles that were additional, the glass which had to be upgraded to custom adding cost and time which she did not allow and this meant the finished product was not to our normal high standard. We are also sincerely disappointed with this job, we want to create bathrooms to be proud of but please if you do not have experience or expertise in this area get assistance from a professional to select your bathroom fittings as there is more to consider than just looks. Bathrooms are the most complicated room of a house, every trade is involved, every choice has an impact on either the preparation or the finished look. Renovations uncover issues and we are experienced in managing this but in this case the customer wanting to save money by doing things herself and changing her mind through the project meant that the costs added up and the finished look was not as she had hoped. "Thanks to our builder and his crew, every other element of our bathroom renovation went to plan and exceeded expectations..…. except for the finishing touch which was a shower glass panel and door install by sub contracted Shower Solutions.
1: Fortunately we were home because the installer turned up without notice.
2: Despite showing the installer that there was a deck next to the bathroom to work from, he decided to cut/hack the rails in the newly renovated bathroom.
3: Clearly obvious that our new toilet and bath were used as cutting benches because metal shavings and off cuts were scattered all around them - fortunately I was able to remove the black marks off of each; unfortunately the same can't be said for one wall which will need painting again.
4: No clean up - none at all - as well as the metal shavings, there were bits and pieces left throughout the shower and bathroom.
5: The only clean up appeared to be for himself - there was water, dust and hair all over the new basin, mirror and walls.
6: Silicone all over the glass and several tiles. Oil patches left on areas of the new tiled floor.
7: Messily cut frame joins and screws that have been so poorly tightened that the black plating was etched away (I've since gone with a matt black touch up because it looked amateur).
8: Kinda shoddy silicone job in one of the corners - could potentially leak, although seems fine for the time being.
Would I recommend Shower Solutions? No.
Are there better installers out there? For sure because I've used them before."

"I want to thank Grayson and his team for doing such a fast and good job urgently replacing a shower and fixing up water damaged joists and ceiling at our rental - all literally just before Christmas!
Shower Solutions was the only company that responded to my online requests for a quote to replace a shower and, though Grayson couldn’t make it to site for an actual measure prior to quoting, he was able to provide a quote to replace the shower from photos that we took. We engaged Shower Solutions to complete the shower replacement and their workman came to site to start the job. Unfortunately, once the old shower was removed, they found that water leaking had damaged timber joists, timber floor and the ceiling below also and that a more extensive repair job needed to be done.
Grayson provided another quote for the expanded work and then proceeded to complete to job - done within a week.

"All I can say it was a blessing and a dream come true. Our shower was a complete disaster and a very unsafe place to shower but we had to do what we had to do. As a family we made a decision that we will not use our shower as much as we would like because it was leaking in the bottom and show cap was not working at all, so our plan was to keep it as dry as we can as we realise the leaks was damaging the the floor and we also had black patches on the cealings. We decided that the males would not shower at home and will shower at the local gym or community pools, at parents homes and at church. And only females would use the showers. We would never or we would make excuses so family and friends would not come over because of the stae of our bathrooms. Until we saw an add on facebook and we got in contact with them and we had a face to face meeting. We were very nervouse because we didnt know how they would react and what they thought of our living arrangements. They were very patient and very helpful and wanted to help. We were blessed because 6 weeks after that we had a brand new shower and it was amazing and we were so happy. Our family could not believe it and my brother who lived there before us was just in awe of the whole new shower and the transformation.

"Great communication with Grayson. Where other companies wanted to renovate the whole bathroom, Grayson came up with an axcellent solution which gave double waterproofing of the shower. Reattached corner of existing wet lining and custom made shower lining over the top of wet lining. New sliding doors and small side glass panel. "We got in contact with Grayson at Shower Solutions as we were over a 5 year issue with a leaking shower. We had lost faith in tradies as our original one man band refused to come back and repair the leaks. Once our original shower had been removed Grayson identified that the tradie we had used had failed to even do any waterproofing! From start to finish the guys were amazing. So helpful and accommodating and patient. They always came when they said they would and the quality of work is incredible.
It is the only bathroom in the house so there was time pressure to get it done fast. They pushed hard and were still working at 8pm some days to rush it along for us.
We made changes part way through and they handled it all without issue and even though it was going to cost more, they didn’t let it change the quoted cost.
We are so happy with our new bathroom, it’s amazing and we couldn’t be happier with the service from Grayson and his team."

"3 months on & the shower glass treatment doesn't bead like it did in the first couple of weeks, or per the advertising .
We aren't happy and there is no customer satisfaction or mediation available. It's basically their opinion versus ours.

The warranty is utterly useless if our claim can be so easily dismissed. To avoid soap scum we were told not to use soap!

I expected what was demonstrated & advertised and have been hugely disappointed.
An expensive treatment that doesn't stand up to it's fake warranty.

Bullying customers into paying when they are not satisfied is a sure way to get a bad review and will quickly earn a poor reputation.

Dealing with Shower Solutions has been well under our expectations considering the name.
We had thought we were in the hands of professionals, but had to deal with revisits and outsourced contractors who couldn't speak English.

We were also advised to not have a hot shower with our shower dome in case our shower exploded...

"We had our shower replaced after consultation with Grayson. I originally just wanted cosmetic door replacement but after looking Grayson advised the shower may be leaking so we chose a full shower replacement. He was correct and my whole floor had to be replaced. Being an old house they found all sorts or issues along the way but the team were able to fix everything as it came up and still finished in a reasonable timeframe.

"BUYER BEWARE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. We have had the most disappointing experience for our bathroom renovation you could wish for. This Company was the only Company I could find who could do the shower size we were after 1.2 x 1m. Bad move to use them! Extremely shoddy workmanship with a finishing silcon job that we have to completely redo ourselves. The moving of the waste pipe had to be done twice as it was put in the wrong place the first time. The shower base is cracked in 1 corner. The base took 9 hours for two people to put in and then they had to come back and redo it as it was15mm out of level. When they came back to put the lining up and finish the job off they split the wood surrounding the shower and just left it. Two floor tiles have been chipped. We have gapping holes that require filling around the base now and to top it off a drill bit has been broken off inside the lining when putting the rivets in to hold the shower together. Now we have rust running out of 1 corner of the shower. Grayson gave us the option to have a $1200.00 price reduction or rip the shower out and start all over again. We had no faith in the Company that they would not do any further damage so we took the price reduction. It still cost us $5577.00! Now we have major repairs to do to get it looking respectable and not an embarrassment for us. The entire process took 8 days to complete and we had to groom the bathroom afterwards as it was left in a real mess although they state they will groom the bathroom once job is completed. They mixed the cement for the base in the bathroom which created loads of dust and did they think to close the bathroom door to keep the dust from going through the house?? NO!! I had to tell them a few times to keep the door closed. Grayson was very apologetic and said he had a real problem finding skilled staff. The guys were very pleasant and did turn up when they said they were going to but sadly unskilled for the job. If you do use this Company make sure you ask what "prepare wall' means in his quote. It is a very broad term. We required some gibbing (not stopping) and 2 nogs and that set us back an extra $550.00!! on top of our quote. Our advice is if you can use someone else do so!!!"
