He helped me understand the system installed within my new home AND provided me (free of charge) with extra cables (that he made on site) to have my TV receive both the SKY feed plus Freeview...something he didn't need to to do BUT did without question. "Mo was absolutely brilliant!! Very professional and takes pride in his work. I needed my sky dish moved off the roof and then mounted on the eave behind the garage. Mo removed the dish , took the old bracket off the roof , filled the holes that were left by the old bracket by putting the roof nails back with silicone, ran new cable and mounted the dish on a new bracket. The new cable was neatly nailed under the roof tucked away. My sky now has very good signal. You know you are going to get a very well priced meticulous professional job done by Mo. Highly recommended!!

"Called twice; once earlier this year to attempt to solve a constant dropout problem with UHF Freeview in Swanson. The problem returned over the winter with any stormy or wet weather, in which our old aerial had problems with the Waitakere transmissions because of its placement. Mo returned immediately we contacted him to sort out a solution (slightly improved aerial and retuning to the Sky Tower). What impressed me both times he came was his willingness to look for a simple and practical solution and above all the fact that he arranged to be there promptly. (A previous aerial repairer from another company had taken over six weeks of message exchanges to not succeed in finding a time that would suit both of us! )"

"Short Story: Solved my problem in 5 minutes. Very friendly - 100% happy. Totally recommend them.

Long Story: Had been putting off getting an old sky boost cabling problem sorted. I had to remember to keep swapping cables in the bedroom before I could watch TV in the lounge & vice versa. If I forgot to swap it back to the bedroom and was recording something later - forget it. MIssed the show! Wife unhappy. Solution needed.
The first crowd that showed up said I needed all sorts of new stuff and new face plates new aerial etc. very expensive quote. After reading Star Connection's at the time (53) reviews - pretty much all 100% and North Shore area - thought ok let's try them instead. Andi who took the call was friendly - took the details and said Mo would call call by later in the day - but when she told me the call out fee to come and diagnose things - I paused a moment. Was it going to be worth it. It was about 10% of the previous job to replace everything - and it's just to diagnose it - no guarantees etc. Took the plunge. OK let's do it. Mo rang to advise arrival about 20 minutes before he came - came in - looked at the setup - sorted it in 5 minutes flat - total cost just the call out fee. Very happy!. Spent a few minutes chatting about the Word Cup football to boot. Nice guy. Thoroughly recommend him based on my experience. Definitely not a cowboy!"

"I havnt had real TV for years, every TV installer I\'ve had come over, and I had at least 3 of them, tried and tried and tried. I do have TiVo and that can be difficult so thats what I thought the problem was.
After deciding to give this another go I tried Mo @ Star Connections Ltd, I simply cannot recommend him enough, he fixed everything, which involved moving my areial quite a way away & helping me tune both TV & TiVo, the price was really reasonable considering how much I spent previously, I was quoted & charged same price.

"Towards the end of last year I decided to have an UHF Arial fitted and was being told that I would not get good reception at my place.

I than went to the No Cowboys website for another opinion.
I decided for Star connections after reading the feedback left for them.
The communication with Mo was great and he was very helpful, he a fitted an UHF Arial and spent considerable time to get a good picture and considered my strict budget.
He came back once when the picture was fragmented and did not charge me for the visit.
He offered to come again if I had any problems with the picture.

"Fantastic. Our job was to wall mount our TV above a fireplace. Mo was able to come in the weekend which was great. Great communication beforehand so we knew when he was coming. He arrived on time and even thought there were complications and the job took a couple of hours longer than expected (not his fault - our wall beams were in a tricky place) Mo sorted it all and still only charged the quoted price.

Amazing price too - not just reasonable - approx $500 cheaper than the other two companies I contacted to quote us.

"We initially contacted Star Connections for a renovation we were doing. Mo called out and told us we needed to get him back a bit later in the process, which we did. In the meantime we sent him to my mums where there was a poor signal, and Mo fixed it beautifully. Since then we have had Mo to finish the reno job.. and to upgrade three rentals which didn\'t have UHF aerials.. and to instal extra TV points in another rental.. On one occasion Mo was running late (it happens) but he phoned and told us, and another time he had vehicle troubles and phoned half an hour past appointment time to reschedule, but overall Mo and Andi provide a wonderful service, Mo is very knowledgeable and always explains what he needs to do.. does a beautiful job every time, and their rates are very reasonable. I will definitely continue using Andi and Mo for all my telecommunications needs and recommend them highly to anyone who wants great, old fashioned, honest service. I found Mo through this website. Called him in the morning and he said he could come out that same afternoon.

Mo was quick and friendly. He spent quite a while in the ceiling finding and fixing our tv reception problem and fixing some dodgy, dangerous wiring in our new house. Also tested all aerial connections and added boxes to boost signal. He took our email address but left without quoting a price, so I was a bit apprehensive about how much he would charge, but got a good surprise when we received the invoice which was great value for money. Highly recommended!"

"Mo dropped by the morning I called him. He was a little late, held up by traffic or another job. Mo\'s workmanship is top class. I wanted to expand existing wall sockets so that it houses both the current outlets plus the coaxial. Mo manage to run the cable from the antenna, down the wall and out the socket without much problems. He did put one of the outlet back upside down but this wasn\'t a major problem. Mo even managed to hide the antenna in the roof without degrading the signal. Thanks Mo for the great job."

"The job took longer than was quoted however they stuck to the quoted price. When the job couldn\'t be finished he came back on Sunday to do so. We then had a problem with our Samsung DVD player. Mo came around on Good Friday afternoon to sort it. The problem was not of Mo\'s doing.

"Excellent value for money. Mo did the job for $250 when I had been quoted $525 for the same job by other installers. I was a little suprised where the aerial went in the end as it wasn\'t exactly where I thought it would be but overall very happy with the job."

"Fast and prompt service, they were able to come and install my UHF aerial the same morning, for $250 including GST when I had been quoted $320 excluding GST by another company.

Mo ran half an hour late, but I was informed of this and he did turn up when they said he would. Fast and efficient installation, Mo took the time to make sure the TiVo was programmed properly (a couple of channels were wrongly programmed, as it turned out), then cleaned everything up and took away the old aerial, which was appreciated.

Would highly recommend this business and will happily use them again - it has been a while since I had such good service from tradespeople."

"I didn\'t think old fashioned good service and product still existed in this modern, built to throw away culture and economy of ours....BUT IT DOES!!! Mo and Andi do what they say and say what they do...you can\'t ask for any better than that.

You will not find a better level of low pricing and top quality service. If you\'ve stumbled upon this company consider yourself fortunate and hire them to install your FreeView or more (they install up to 3 metre dishes!!)."

"Everything went perfectly. We had a reception problem and we called them. We were offered a $55 special callout and evaluation service - which was great value. The technician arrived on time and tested every inch of our aerial system in the house - leaving no stone unturned. He communicated every step of the way - was easy to understand, friendly, efficient, credible. In the end he diagnosed three flaws in our set-up and fixed them on the spot for a very low fee. I was blown away by the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of their service. I heartily recommend them to anyone."

"Mo and Andi are amazing people, they are friendly interested and focused on what the customer requires. We have just finished the pre wire stage in our new home and are very happy wth Star Connections, they go the extra mile. "Arrived exactly on time - Mo had all of his tools/supplies with him, so was able to quote on and perform the job at the same time. Did an excellent job at a great price. Was knowledgeable on how to get all our TV\'s/Set top boxes working - Fantastic Freeview HD installation, very happy with the result. "Mo was knowledgeable and thorough and offered us options for the connection of our second TV that we hadn\'t considered. "Very speedy response. Rang to discuss my TV problem and Mo was pretty certain he knew what the issue would be. Turned up on-time the very next morning and was done in 40 mins. Told me what he was doing each step of the way and what the issue was.
