"As part of work carried out at my property, Andrew fitted a new toilet. I recently noticed water damage on the wall in my toilet area. When he installed the new toilet, Andrew removed the internal part of the sewer vent pipe, cutting it at the wall but (unknown to me) left the rest of the pipe that runs outside the house up to the roof intact, causing rain water to run directly from the top of the vent into the house into the internal wall. A professional assessing the damage told me that Andrew should have removed the whole pipe and sealed the holes at the time of the toilet install - he certainly should not have left the pipe sitting in the internal wall with nowhere for the water to drain to.

When I asked him to return and remove the pipe and seal the external holes with flashings, he told me to "Fuk Off".

He also didn't install the make and model of toilet that he said he would. And he charged more for the install than he quoted.

"BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER!!! All the comments written on here are true, and indicative of his workmanship and the kind of man Andrew Wright is. He should not even be allowed to work as a plumber with his shoddy workmanship, his gross overcharging and his mean, nasty, bullying and intimidating manner when customers try and query his higher than quoted invoices and/or call him back to repair work that was not completed correctly. I am sorry that I ever heard of this man. I wish I had seen the comments here before I engaged him to do the work on my property. I have had many sleepless nights over his poor workmanship, his outrageous charges and the way he treated me in the aftermath. I hope the Plumbing Board see what a menace this man is and stop him from practicing as a plumber."

Recommended by our builder Mr Wright did not follow the architects plans, in fact he thought it would be a good idea to put the main vent outside our front door when the consented plans had it located internally. Could not put a toilet in plumb has no idea about how to set out a bathroom or what symmetrical means, tore our laundry cabinets apart with a sabre saw, would not and could not fix his mess up and tried to charge us an astronomical amount even after another plumber had to come and fix his mistakes and we are still fixing them

Fair to say the most terrible experience I have ever had with a trades person in what is our brand new home.

"This plumber undertook work and my place of employment. I thought from all accounts he was OK WRONG. Our kitchen tap was installed incorrectly requiring a replacement. The wastes on the vanity and bath were not sealed resulting in a flood the first time we used the bath. The shower was installed at the wrong height resulting in use having to get the tiler back to replace/repair tile and then reinstate the extension pipe for the overhead shower unit. We had purchased second had taps to go in our scullery and were told they leaked and need replacing. My husband put washers in and they worked fine. I would suggest readers try someone else before employing this person. He never come back to complete any of the work."

"unfortunately I didn't know your website when we were searching for a qualified and reliable tradesman. Mr Wright was recommended by a local source as a new start-up..

unfortunately our experience is similar to the one reported. once the plumbing board has come up with a recommendation we will do a complete write-up on this company in your website. In the meantime, I cannot recommend his 'services'."

"Beware of this plumber as he is a very aggressive and threatening person. He did the majority of plumbing on our new house build and we paid all of his invoices in full without question for the main part of the build, despite being charged several hundred dollars extra by him to fix one of his own mistakes. He then disconnected and reconnected a sink for us when the new kitchen worktop was fitted. When the invoice arrived for 2 hours to disconnect and 2 hours to reconnect, and I had been home when he reconnected, which took him about 15 minutes, we obviously wanted to query why the invoice was so much. Instead of discussing it with us in a calm professional manner and explaining his charges, his first reaction was to threaten us with coming around and disconnecting our water! We responded saying we would pay in full if he confirmed there would be no further invoices and he would never return to our house. His response was to threaten us further with sending around debt collectors to remove plumbing fixtures from the house (which is illegal anyway as debt collectors cannot remove fixtures). At no point was there any rational and polite discussion explaining the charges, just threats if we didn’t pay it right away. There were also a couple of incidents while he was working on our house where I questioned something that had been done and again instead of explaining things in a friendly and professional manner, he got very intimidating and I had to walk away as I was concerned it would escalate if I kept talking to him. I have reported him to the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board and they have noted the incident on his record in case of further complaints and in case we need any of his work fixing in the future as we obviously won’t be allowing him back on our property. This man has clear anger management issues and should not be working in a customer facing environment until he deals with them as threats and intimidation are NOT an appropriate response (especially a first response) to a simple invoice query or a query about his work."
