    "Dismally disapointed from all ends of the service. The truck had no loading access, which meant each loading and unloading added another stage to get it onto and off the truck. The two men constantly took phone calls, chatted, and took forever to figure out how to load the truck. I had everything all ready boxed and ready to go, but it still took them 6 and 1/2 hours to move a two bedroom flat from one suburb of Wellington to the other. They also damaged my lounge furniture, and when I made… a complaint to the main office, I was yelled at as if I had held back information on there being 15 steps - down - to the new house. Very offensive, and should have taken this to the small claims court."

    "This is the worst moving company I have ever used. They broke and damaged several items of furniture and charged over $600 for the priviledge. They didn't come with the correct gear or didn't know where to find it and couldn't even move our piano without our help - again we paid for this priviledge. One of the movers didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. Was picking up boxes on their sides and knocking things over. They were slow and inefficient. When we complained to the company… later they said it was all our fault and accepted no responsibility! They seem to think that getting us to sign their agreement excludes them from the Consumer Guarantees Act. These guys definitely are cowboys and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone."

    "I just got a houselot moved into the apartment and the guys were very efficient - but I think that's because fo who I got. Ask for Chris - sorry don't know second name, but has distinctive red hair. He used to own his own company and is very good. But I do have one complaint - I booked the job for 8am and they didn't turn up til 9am, nor did they call me to let me know. I managed to get thru to them at 8:30, and they said yes, they're 10-20 mins away. So as long as you've got all day - by all… means sign them up, they're reasonable."

    "We've used A1 Movers on two separate occasions. Both times the communication within the company has been very poor and we've found the service lacking.

    On the first occasion the owner insulted my wife over the phone because she could not see the truck outside of the building (around the back of a 10 story office tower) and said, "what is she thick or something".

    On the second occasion we used A1 movers they we're two hours late. Then when they did arrive they told us the price… was now increased and we got a bad attitude from the white driver all through the move.

    He made a point of being aggressive, rude and came across like everything was a problem. We had advised A1 previously of what needed to be moved and he gave us a hard time because we did not tell him about everything. Communication within A1 is very poor.

    We also had comments from him about our packing.

    Generally the Samoan guys we're ok, however don't expect much conversation or communication.

    Overall, this company has a culture problem and clearly likes to provide monkeys for peanuts.

    If you get a driver with the numberplate SCOIPN, tell him to turn around and leave.    "

    "Do not use this company. They demand payment immediately as they know that they are useless and they completely destroyed one of our items and damaged another 5!"
