When leaving feedback for a tradie or business on NoCowboys, you have two options:
Moving is stressful enough as it is.
We had already dismantled everything - and had to be out of the rental property and had a strict timeframe. On top of that, it was a… Saturday and many moving companies were either not open, or were booked months in advance.
To top it off, we had a young child - I couldn't believe that they could leave us stranded that way!
We were desperate, rang around all the moving companies and finally found one who sympathised with our plight and said they would get a couple of their workers from Hamilton to help us out.
What AACarriers did was highly unprofessional and unacceptable! I will definitely not be recommending them to friends and family.
Do your research and find a reputable company - one that will NOT leave you stranded on the day of your big move!
I wouldn't hesitate to use AA Carriers again

They were a wonderful happy friendly efficient team that carried out our move so well. They certainly gave the impression that they all enjoyed what they do.

They were all so very courteous right through and asked where everyhing was to go which was a great help when all was finished and we were left to sort out. .
"We did however have not such a good experience with Platinum Deliveries, they thought we booked them to move us, and they called us the night before to tell us they had subcontracted our move to a random company… Suburban Metro Relocations. When I called Suburban Metro Relocations to tell them were booked with another company they tried to scare us out of using AA - told us lots of bad things about them and put the sh1ts up us the night before we moved our whole home contents - very unethical way to get business! Be aware of them both.

The two gentleman from AA Carriers were so incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing was a bother for them and they moved all my things carefully and quickly with a smile on their face.
I will definitely be calling AA Carriers for my next move!

"Well, the move was the most stressful and unpleasant I have ever had to endure.
The truck arrived an hour late, claiming one of the guys had slept in - I actually applauded their honesty.
They then arrived, and we felt that we were a real inconvenience to their day !!! Is this not their job
They treated… our furniture so badly, knocking into walls and doors continuously, and treated me with utter contempt and disdain when I asked them to please be careful.
They used intimdtation and the entire process was absolutely awful.
When asked to pay at the end - I didn\'t agree with the amount - apart from an additional half an hour added to the time, which I just left, they had added insurance onto the amount which I hadn\'t agreed. They were so unpleasant and told me to call their supervisor at the depot which I did. The conversation with him didn\'t go much better, and he put me on \"hold\" while talking to the guys in the truck on the radio - which I could hear, and which was downright rude and disrespectful. All the while my partner was having abuse hurled at him by the driver of the truck, who was calling him all sorts of names and acting very aggresively.
I asked to speak to a manager, to whom I was transferred, who hardly bothered to listen to the story he was so busy defending the driver and refusing to believe that there was anyway that they might have mis-comunicated the details of the form to us about the insurance and what was required at the outset of the move (Should this not be discussed at time of quoting when one is not so stressed on moving day !)
The insurance amount was reluctantly removed, but the service that I paid for was hardly service. I will never use this company again, in case there was any doubt, and I will be getting this experience voiced everwhere I can to try and ensure that other unsuspecting people do not have to endure the horriffic experience we had to.
I have contacted them asked for regional manager contact details to write a letter to, and have been given the same details of the person with whom I dealt on Saturday !! Not a good start !Price that was initially quoted and the price that was charged is not the same. There were a few hidden fees that was conveniently left out. Service is good but im not very satisfied with the work ethics. I will not recommend them.
I wouldn't use this company again.
"They initially promised to arrive between 12noon -2pm, 2pm came and went ? no updates, no phone calls. I and my partner had to call them every now and then just to ask for an update ? very frustrating. Every time we call we were promised that we will be there 'soon'.
If they couldn?t make it on time because they simply got 'tied up' with another job, they shouldn?t have made empty promises in the first place!
Moving one bedroom worth of… stuffs is not too much to ask for! In fact we waited 5 hours to get them to move medium-sized boxes, 1 stand fan and 2 suitcases!
They eventually arrived at 5pm, and that?s about 5 hours wait on our part because we have been waiting since 12noon!
At $80/hr+30mins surcharge, this is not exactly the cost-effective option as I know other companies (i.e. Tiger) do not impose a 30min surcharge.
Bad experiences aside, the movers were pretty apologetic and once the two strong men arrived they went to work straight away.
Although I must say I?m pretty impressed with their professionalism and the fact that they?re able to move my things 8 floors up to my new apartment on Queen St itself, all this during the evening peak hour traffic.
If I ever want to hire a mover again, I might have second thoughts about AA Auckland Carriers.
