    "Terrible Service, DO NOT USE!. I have an old house and the drain was running over with toilet waste. I called up and mentioned that I would not be in, and directed the staff with acccess detaisl to the property. I was immedtiately asked for my credit card details, but I mentoned that ususally an invoice would be sent. Moving on, the unblocking took under 2 hours, for which i paid $460. Thats the most I have ever paid. Expensive, and to add insult to injury, during abou the 2nd week, the drain was having issues again. I called up mentioning that this should not be happening after 2/3 weeks, and the person on the phone, who was nice enough, asked her manager, and then let me know that the manager said that if I had called within the week of work, they may have came unblocked the drain. However, in this instance I would need to pay another $460 for a call out. No offer of partial refund, apologies, or concern at all. Possibly the worst business I have used in Auckland. Please do no use these guys, as the are a complete rip off."

    "Had a blocked drain. Great service. Very quick, efficient and really nice guy that came to the house. They fit me in at the end of the day and made sure it was OK to come after hours.

    Job finished quickly, he cleaned up and even disinfected the whole area for us afterwards. I would highly recommended them."

    "We had a leaky tap outside, instead of going under the house the guy ripped off the boards of the house and broke them and left the responsibility to another company. This has upset me and have had no apology what so ever from them. This has not been fixed for over a week now. "

    "June 2012, Had drain unblocked which was apparently caused by tree roots. May 2013, drain blocks again. CCTV camera reveals section of sewage pipe is displaced (same section where previously blocked). Quoted $2000 to replace 5m of pipe in addition to initial unblock fee and CCTV fee . Assumed it was a major job. Took 2 hours for 2 guys to complete. The did not clean up properly after the job, tossed the old gully trap in the garden. The new gully trap does not line up properly with the outlet pipe so that when the cover is on some water from the pipe cannot flow into the gully trap.

    Now, a year later, the drain is blocked again.

    Find another company to use as Abbots work is poor quality and expensive.

    "Abbotts, who have been handling my drainage for 7 years, recently unblocked my sewage drain for an uncompetitive price of $230. The following day a CCTV scan ($255 more to Abbotts) showed incomplete root removal. Abbotts refused to stand behind their work and return to complete the job. They wanted to return for a completely new recharge !! Furthermore Abbotts's charge for a Nuflow reline was $2000 more than estimated by their tech
    and had absolutely NO guarantees !! This company deserves a place in the Hall of Shame for bad companies !!

Our recommended repair system is Nuflow CIPP lining system, which i can assure you come with a 40year Guarantee. Whilst this is the best option to remedy you current drainage problems, If you would like to discuss a more affordable option we are more than happy to disucss these options with you."

    "I called Abbotts with a blocked drain at 1:30pm on a very rainy weekday. Dwayne arrived two hours later, almost immediately found the inspection point lid had caved in, filling the drain with dirt.
    He cleared this, hydro'd the drain to 30m and tested, then fixed the inspection point lid on with epoxy (or something) to stop it coming off again. He knew what he was doing and charged $230 which I believe is pretty standard pricing. Very happy with the service.

    "Our drain was blocked and we asked Abbotts for somebody to come around urgently. Paul arrived within the hour and was extremely helpful. The problem was actually something to do with Watercare/Council services and Paul guided us to ensure Watercare was out to fix the problem quick smart with no fuss.
    Paul was super friendly and Abbotts was great in their follow up. I would hesitate in using Abbotts again.

    "I had a leaking water meter which i got abbotts plumbing to repair. I rang them at 8:30am monday morning and made a time for 2pm, which there worker showed up on time and was quick about doing the job, it only took him about 20 minutes to dig it up, repair it and put it back together. High recommend this company"

    "Abbots Plumbing had been called to unblock the same drain at my property in Auckland on 3 occasions since November 2011. On the third attempt they informed me that a camera would need to be put down to see what the problem was and I agreed.

    They then informed me that there was a blockage under the driveway, marked the driveway with an X, and then sent me a quote to repair it at over $2,000 plus GST.

    As I had had trouble even receiving invoices off them, literally 3 calls and emails every time they did a job. I thought I would get a second opinion. I contacted All Drains Limited of Otahuhu, and they promptly attended to it.

    They found that the area they had marked on the driveway was not the problem. After placing a camera down there, they found a blockage of toilet matter, and after a decent period of trying they managed to dislodge it. With that cleared they proceed to go deeper with their camera, only to find another blockage at the backflow metre which is located 5 metres away from the area they marked.

    The total cost for All Drains to diagnose the problem, send down a camera and fix the blockage that Abbotts had 3 attempts to repair was $160 in total. I paid Abbotts Drainage $230, 3 times to unblock the drain unsuccessfully and $255 to run a camera down there. I feel totally ripped off by Abbotts Plumbing in paying them nearly $1,000 for what was a $160 job Thank goodness I didn’t pay the over $2,000 estimate to have them dig up my driveway for nothing as they misdiagnosed the problem. So $1,000 later and Abbotts still hadn’t fixed anything for me.

    I have sent a complaint to Robyne at Abbotts informing her of how I feel, but they just chose to ignore it. Therefore in my eyes Abbotts Plumbing gets the lowest mark possible. 3 times they had a go at fixing a problem, and 3 times they failed. They then wanted over $2,000 to fix a problem that didn’t exist.

    Trust me on this. They may be OK at changing washers, but seriously, there are better plumbers and drain layers out there, save yourself time and money and just ring someone else.

    "I am a property manager in a company. One of the tenants had a blocked toilet. Sewage was overflowed to the back of the house and the situation was very ugly. I rang up Abbotts Plumbing at 9:30 am. Within two hours, a plumber was on site and unblocked the toilet. I appreciate their quick response to my call and quality of work they had done."

    "I found Abbotts on the nocoboys website and they did exactly what the reviews promised.

    Called them at 7:15 am in the morning to unblock a drain and an hour later someone came to fix exactly what needed fixing at the price quoted on the phone.

    Easy to deal with, friendly and know their stuff, exactly what you would like to see in a trades person. Highly recommend this business."

    "I decided to use Abbotts to clear a blocked residential sewer pipe because of their good rating on No Cowboys, and I must say, their rating is well deserved. The office person taking the booking was excellent. The technician, Gani (I apologise if this name is incorrect) got down and dirty and cleared the pipe. He was a true champion to crawl under the house and wade through that filth to clear it. And all with a smile. Highly recommended."

    "On 13th August 2009 I phoned Abbots Drainage regarding an urgent job to unblock sewer drains at our dog shelter in Pukekohe. Brooke from your customer services was able to organise a contractor on site within half an hour. I met the contractor on site at the job. He was very helpful and able to make suggestions on how we could fix the problem. He returned the following day to undertake CCTV camera work, it was discovered that dog hair from the shelter and hay had blocked our sewer line. The blockage was cleared successfully. I would just like to thank all of the staff at your business for their professionalism and courteous manner and commend you all on doing such a great job. Could you please pass this message onto Brooke at the office and the contractor on site that day (I can’t remember his name). This problem had been ongoing for over a month and other contractors were unable to locate and fix it for me. Regards Alison"
