"Booked fortnightly cleaning and was assigned Hannah who did an okay job but did dust around things rather than under them so left dust circles and floor areas under tables weren’t done. The next time she was due she messaged and postponed to the following week. Then that week she said she was too busy so couldn’t come until the following week. Then that week she messaged last minute and said she couldn’t come. Three weeks in a row cancelled so I called absolute domestics and told them to cancel the service. They apologised for the poor service and asked for another chance and would find me another cleaner and I agreed. Shortly after I was contacted by my new cleaner who quoted me over $50 an hour although absolute domestics website states $41 an hour for the first 2 hours then $30 an hour after that.
He said it’s because they use their own cleaning products and he refused to use our products - again the website says the cleaners will use your products.
So my experience has been very disappointing and after just 1 very average clean I won’t be using them again."

"Wow, absolute horror run with this company. Over a 6 month period we have had four different cleaners. The last one we have had cancelled on the morning of their first appointment and then when she did make it to site two weeks later spent 3.5 hours cleaning 1x bench and sink, 2x bathroom sink, 2x shower and 2x toilets. That's half an hour per item.... When challenged on amount of cleaning completed in 3.5 hours the company was extremely defensive and rude. Would not recommend at all. Suggest to have a look at the local community facebook groups to see who is active in your area and deal direct - the other benefit to this is that the money will go direct to the cleaner without some faceless corporate who is defensive and rude taking a cut of the cleaners money - what for?."

"We organised a couple months of cleaning help when we had a new baby. The first cleaner assigned to us was cancelled last minute so our service started a week after we requested. Rebecca was easy to work with and did a good job.

The service is easy to use. I guess quality depends on the cleaner you're assigned. We would use Rebecca again."

"It’s great to know someone is there when you need them. Samy is a lovely man and did a great job of vacuuming my floors. Big house with two sets of stairs so not an easy job. I am now well enough to manage most of it myself and will have family staying who will do what I can’t manage. In saying that I only have one grumble and that is having to pay a $22 agency fee each time. This was for both cleaners I had. I would have expected one agency fee per cleaner on getting the appointment and not for it to be ongoing."

"I have had Raewyn for some time now but sadly we are moving following an overseas trip, Raewyn has been a willing worker and has enjoyed the cleaning changes I made from time to time especially when we were away. Instead of stopping her pay I gave her other non routine jobs to do so we had a great relationship which worked for us both,?

"Me & my wife decluttered the lounge, kitchen, bathroom area so cleaner could focus on cleaning. Wiping down cupboards, fridge door, window sils, marks off walls and door frames and sweep and mopped. I told her at the start what I wanted and asked she used my cleaning products. Not only did she not wipe the cupboards and fridge, she left mold in the shower, didn’t sweep and mop, the house stunk of vinegar, she folded the washing which took her 10 minutes to do we work from home so saw her do it. Basically paid $82 to have 10 minutes of washing folded. Very dissatisfied as a first time customer and first time hiring a cleaner. Never again. :("

"Tommy helped us get our house back into shape after a few months of illness and overwhelm had taken its toll. He was always on time, communication was fantastic (a reminder the day before!) and didn't ever make us feel like we were in the way when he was cleaning. He even tidied the cupboard under the kitchen sink where we keep our cleaning supplies! It definitely made our house a nicer place to live, and made it easier to keep up the standard between visits"

"Honestly the cleaners were lovely no issues iwth them. Unfortunately since just after they started my daugher and I started getting severly bitten by something. "I booked a cleaner for 5 hrs to action exit clean. Within a few hours I received a booking date, time of approval and cleaners details. On the day Tevita was stuck in traffic eta 18mins, when he arrived we walked through explaining what was required and detailed the areas specific. I returned throughout the day to check in. Tevita was very thorough and took his time. He did a superb job for the time he was on site. Bathrooms were spotless, dusting skirts, kitchen cupboards all great.
I woukd not hesitate in a full clean again - Tevita is a great asdet to the team."

"Made a booking enquiry online for a move out clean, cleaner called we made the arragements everything was set and good to go. cleaner arrives i open the door they come in check everything good gave me a quote, Christian said the whole house would take about 3 hours per cleaner which comes to 6 hours total. i was given a pre quote before their arrival of $210 for an hour and a half and thats what i paid for cos i wanted some main jobs done! Before they started i specifically said even if everything on the list i sent them werent done just please mop my dining/lounge area, kitchen i had already done the day before! Mopping floors was a must, and to clean both bathrooms and extra toilet and also a small patch in the garage where my washing use to be! They both said ok! i said even if everything else isnt done please make sure everything i asked for had to be done! I leave and come back just when theyre about to finish up! I walk in a immediately see the lounge wasnt even mopped, i go upstairs both bathrooms wiped down thats it! Soap scum on glass doors wasnt cleaned wasnt even attempted to clean at all. i go in the garage the small patch i asked wasnt even touched! So basically they spent 1 1/2 hours just mucking around in the bathrooms! Worse worse experience ever! When i told Christian that nothing was done he proceeds to tell me oh well our time is up if you want us to continue you have to pay extra for our time! are you bloody serious! So because i refused to pay they go on to accuse me of being aggressive towards them! i mean who wouldnt get mad if they paid for a job but ended up getting a half ass, wait not even half, less than a half job done and then being told to pay extra for their "time". Not only did i lose $210 but i ended up having to do the job myself! Never never never again! Worse cleaning business ever! I do not recommend at all. maybe not all cleaners are like this but come on man, if your customers are paying you for something they expect done, just do what you were paid to do nothing more and definitely NOTHING LESS, im a single mom and i took money out of my kids pocket to pay for a job i thought would bring me some relief from the stress of moving homes, but instead my stress levels just flew right through the roof after the job they did! Rip off! Bad bad bad experience! Dont book from here!"

"Had the worst experience with this company, Kevin came to clean our house and was paid for 2 hours. Kevin "cleaned" a windowsill, microwave, dusted , moped some of the floors (that was dirty after his cleaning" wiped the bench top in the bathroom and that was it in 2 hours! Our house looked worse after he left, used almost an entire bottle of cleaning product and when we complained he told us via the company that he did a great job! Absolute BS, I would not recommend this company... $100 down the drain."

"cleaning was superficial. carpets and washing floors and bathrooms were done but no tidying and no dusting. not reliable- seemed to have issues getting in the way of arriving on time- we went nearly 3 weeks without cleaning being done when arrangement was weekly. She did her best that she could, I believe, given that we have a number of rooms to clean and only asked her to commit to a certain amount of time. Definitely happy to recommend her. "What started off as a really good relationship turned into the cleaner being complacent and not actually cleaning anything. On one instance I came home and she was sitting on the sofa. She didn’t clean the bath 3x visits because she thought it “looked clean”. Cleaner said our house was a breeze to clean - I understand why now… Have made a complaint with Absolute Domestics and awaiting an outcome. I can’t yet say if I would or would not use Absolute Domestics again but I know I won’t use that particular cleaner."

"Nur was always a lovely help. On time. Very willing to help in any way. She finished up when she finished university.
The business was always very understanding with any requests of mine when I called. (although sometimes things were left too long as Call Centre staff left messages etc with cleaners but no one would follow up in between unless I called again to check on the progress).
The call center staff were always very friendly and helpful and very happy to work with my requested days and times and specific requests of experience or capability of staff.
However, Often cleaners change automatically with text only update. Which doesn’t really suit us. Or like in our case when a change occurred & a cleaner decided to not turn up the business didn’t have any idea and hadn’t called to double check they would still be starting our job as planned.
One small suggestion, it would be great to have someone in the business managing our household as a client - so that any changes etc were dealt with through with one person on the business end in a more timely way rather than always communicating with someone new each phone call and repeating needs. That person would then get to know us well as clients and could be more proactive and responsive with needs. More reaching out to clients in person to check on everything would be more appropriate. Certainly when any changes in staffing occur. Also, a courtesy phone call to run through why someone was chosen for our needs, their background, experience etc would be useful before they begin. Rather than a more hands off - random allocation type service. Ultimately the less people I need to train up the better. So it’s always more helpful to get a good fit for the family from the beginning. When you are opening up your home to someone, I personally want a brief on who that is before they arrive. Ultimately I think these changes would justify the higher price you pay for the service."

"Ive based this on my previous cleaner Sasha who left in May. The next cleaner has only been 3 times and has also now left. Sasha was pretty good doing most of the work required within the time allowed but some things were missed. The new person was very thorough. The company has been very easy to deal with and provided good service. It did take a few weeks to appoint someone to fit with my availability as they didn't have many cleaners on their books but I am in a provincial city with smaller population so this may have been why. I would recommend the company unreservedly and will use their services again in future should my current circumstances change."

"Very happy with this company. They always ring to check that their representative has performed to standard and that I as customer am 100% happy. They have always employed good people, easy to have in your home. There was only one cleaner who I was say 90% happy with and when the company rang me I expressed that, I did not see that cleaner again, no questions asked - just a new cleaner introduced herself to me and we were all happy again. Well done to this company."

"I've been using this cleaning agency for approximately 18 months for fortnightly house cleans. We've had 5 cleaners within that time. The first cleaner was (Jo) was thorough, efficient and reliable. The second, a team of two women, didn't do all the tasks they agreed to. The bathroom didn't look like it was cleaned at all. They were asked to come in the afternoon and turned up in the morning when my children were in the middle of their homeschooling activities. I asked for a different cleaner. The third cleaner (Kim) did a reasonably good job, however was very unreliable. She would usually phone on the day she was meant to be cleaning saying she was running up to 1.5 hours late or she'd say she had mixed the days/ weeks up and couldn't come at all. The cleaner and agency were aware that I required a reliable cleaner who could come at the agreed time to fit around the routine of my homeschooled children. The fourth cleaner was thorough and reliable however left the agency after doing 3 cleans for us. For $33 per hour I expect more consistency and reliability."

"We would like to leave a well considered and balanced review:
1. we have used this company in both Australia and New Zealand on various occasions throughout the past 6 years
2. Over the past 6 months we have had about 4 cleaners allocated to clean our home for a weekly clean.
3. Two patterns have emerged (1) cleaners are initially fairly good, or in one case very good, then the standard very quickly drops and jobs are left undone / poorly done of (2) the cleaning has been absolutely unsatisfactory - as if the cleaner was there for one hour out of five
4. We have had friendly staff on the phone, however when we have had certain requests they have not been met
5. We would NOT recommend this service if you have expectations of hard working, thorough cleaners with attention to detail and consistency"

"This company is a total joke. Hired them for an End of Lease clean (and they are still calling it an end of lease clean). There was rubbish in one of the draws, rice left in a cupboard, marks on walls, dirt on window cils, a dirty mirror and just generally not clean. No idea what work the cleaner did in three hours, but all that was done was vacuuming and mopping. I think the cleaner took her time because she was called last minute by her boss to clean (not my problem though). I will not have to litigate this through the courts to recover the money lost for having my landlord to have a cleaner come over and fix up their mess! I got an email from the companies "Chairman" demanding payment for the cleaning services. Not happening! You've caused me a loss already due to the negligence of this cleaner"

"3 hour service =$180 nothing was done in three hours I was expecting whole hour to be completed only 1 bathroom cleaned and two windows. Waste of money really never hire this company always give contract to complete whole hour at fixed price via other cleaners. This was number one on google I believe only because the company is doing well internationally or is ripping others off with there bogus cleaning service.

After the clean they said this sort of job will take 10 hours to complete if they told me from the start they can't do this job I would of hire other cleaner from the start. Very disappointed"

"I paid $300 for a six hour end-of-tenancy clean. I asked for general clean, with special attention to windowframes, lightshades, ceilings and floors.

In six hours, she cleaned the windowframes, two light shades, and broke another lightshade.

There was a smear of tomato sauce still on the floor. There were still cobwebs in the corners.

When I complained, the company rang back to say:

- she had done the ceilings (she clearly hadn't)

- the smudge on the floor was rust and she'd scrubbed and scrubbed it (I sprayed it and it wiped up immediately)

- she had done all the lightshades (ahahaha yeah right - they had not been touched, I have photos).

- they implied that my house was totally filthy and that I should have booked three days (at $50 an hour).

They grudgingly offered that she could come back and clean the lightshades "again".

I am FURIOUS.

I paid other cleaners to come in the next day, and they blitzed everything in six hours easily. And they only cost $20/hr!"

"I\'m absolutely appalled by the service provided AD. Poor communication with staff, unhelpful over the phone. Clean was mediocre. Give them a miss! 3 hr clean = 150 dollars. Cleaner gets 30 dollars per hour. That\'s a nice 20 per hour for company that does bugger all. Give a miss."
