Wayne came and gave me an idea of the work that could be done to achieve what I was after in my renovation project which included knocking down walls, electrical work , building work and also the installing of the new kitchen itself which included painting and tiling.… Wayne then produced a high quality design for me that showed what the finished kitchen would look like. By this stage I knew that I would be getting a great kitchen to a design that I had not even contemplated could be achieved or one that I had even considered.I found Wayne and his team of trades people to be most accommodating throughout the whole project from start to finish. They always arrived on time and sometimes even early which these days isn't always the case when you are waiting for work men to turn up so I applaud them for that. The guys worked extremely hard the entire time to get the job completed to deadline.I did find some hiccups along the way which I did expect from an old Lockwood home. I never anticipated that we could not drill straight down through the ceiling for the electrical work and that there would be a great big beam blocking the path for the wiring. I never estimated how long the electrical work would take and the electrician and his apprentice even gave up a Saturday to finish off the work. In fact the electrician was great as he even noticed whilst he was in my loft that my DVS system did not have an air filter on it and as he is a qualified agent for DVS he was able to get me one and install it for me - another problem solved! In reality my kitchen renovation did take longer than forecast and I was totally informed about this every step of the way, it was no sudden shock or surprise and Wayne communicated everything to me as progression was made about any issues that had cropped up unexpectedly. As a matter of fact I found communication to be excellent throughout the whole experience and Wayne kept in constant contact keeping me in the loop as things proceeded. To give everyone involved credit where it is due the work was still finished in just over two weeks so still a great turn around with minimal disruption for me.I did go slightly over my budget but then having built a new house build myself in the past I knew that this would happen as hidden costs always occur along with unpredictable findings to cater for. Projects can never be fully quoted only approx figures can be given which I was given and they were not too far off what I paid in the end. So no unrealistic prices has been given even when a Saturday has been worked.I am extremely delighted with my new kitchen, the whole area has been amazingly transformed and the end result is simply wonderful with great utilization of extra space and natural light.I wouldn't hesitate to use Wayne, Megan and their team of designers and sub contractors again.
Skip forward to this year, and a few of the fittings and cupboards have settled or come apart (my wife and I are NOT hard on our belongings!). We contacted the company back and for the longest time were ignored, then eventually told that we should fix it ourselves.
My wife and I both have medical issues which make that an… utterly inappropriate and unreasonable suggestion. We were told that their installer could come out to fix their own work, but we'd be invoiced $185 for that.My recommendation- use another company, whatever you do. The attitude and sass we have had from Wayne and Megan has left a truly awful sour taste in our mouths.https://youtu.be/uXkaTLog2zg
Many thanks for making our Kitchen a dream !

One clown decided to use an orbital sander on timber on our new bench-top. Guess what happens? The sander slips off the timber and onto the new bench. Clown. Wayne came to the party though, $100 discount - $100.
We were told the whole job would take 3 weeks. However, it eventually took over 7 weeks. We were without a flushing toilet or running water for 4 1/2 of these weeks. This was over… winter. No flushing toilet or running water. Once more, 4 1/2 weeks. The painter was terrible. At the end of the job a large amount of the kitchen and bathroom painting had to be redone as we refused to pay for the substandard rubbish that had been done so far. Wayne claimed it was the first time he used the painters. This would be more believable if he hadn't told us how great they were when we expressed reservations during the initial painting part of the job. He did moan and whinge about how much it cost him having to redo the painting. When it came to getting the bill an attempt to charge us for the electricians apprentice was made. We were never quoted for an apprentice. Certainly not the $30 + p/h he attempted to charge us for him. This included trying to charge us for time when we were home and the apprentice wasn't there. This was a major concern to us. We wanted to question everything else that went over budget but we decided we had to rely on his records and it probably wasn't going to be worth it anyway. At the end of the job we had to get our insurance company in to fix our lounge wall that was pushed out by several centimetres. We had to pay a $100 excess. However, we got it back later after we assume the insurance company did their recovery job.16 months after finishing Wayne's plumber had to come back because the shower was coming off the wall. It wasn't correctly installed. This despite Wayne managing to confidently assure us his people always did the job right and to specifications when we told him of this issue. This would have meant more if he had bothered to come and look. Also, when Wayne's plumber came, after he was sent by Wayne to check the wall, he admitted he didn't install it correctly. All in all this is the worst company we have ever dealt with. We tell everyone we meet about our experience with this company, as for us, it really was terrible.
The project was commissioned and carried… out at a very busy time of year for Wayne... however deadlines were met and I was kept in touch with progress. In spite of some last minute changes, Wayne remained flexible and open to help.I have no hesitation in recommending Wayne and All About Kitchens. The quality of workmanship has been of a high standard and I\'ve received consistently good service and advice.
