    "Really pleased with my kitchen. The design layout is so much better than it was before.
    A few problems arose due to the repositioning of the stove (due to the lack of roof space) but problems were solved. The guys who installed the kitchen, the plumber and the painter and plasterer were all great.

    "My husband and I were looking to upgrade our old 70s kitchen but retain as much of the original carcusses as possible to be cost efficient. So we mostly added new doors with some additional cupboards. It was a bit of a patchwork job (filling in the gaps) but Wayne and the team managed to give it a finish to look like we\'d overhauled the whole room. The colour is modern, the quality is fantastic and we are rapt with it. Claire, from the first meeting was a wealth of information - always willing to accommodate our requests, very good to deal with and really knows her stuff. I asked for additional panels to be made and this was done very quickly. Because our\'s wasn\'t a whole refit, we shopped around and this was the best quote we received. Thanks to Waye and the team, we have a really lovely new kitchen : )"

    "Overall we are very pleased with our bathroom renovation carried out by All About Kitchens And Bathrooms. Wayne communicated well with us prior to and throughout the job. He managed to source the products we wanted and we appreciated everything being left tidy at the end of each work day. Two small problems we identified during the job were rectified promplty and without question. We found Wayne to be both well organised and professional throughout the renovation process."

    "An absolutely awful experience with what we considered a bunch of cowboys and the odd clown.

    One clown decided to use an orbital sander on timber on our new bench-top. Guess what happens? The sander slips off the timber and onto the new bench. Clown. Wayne came to the party though, $100 discount - $100.

    We were told the whole job would take 3 weeks. However, it eventually took over 7 weeks. We were without a flushing toilet or running water for 4 1/2 of these weeks. This was over winter. No flushing toilet or running water. Once more, 4 1/2 weeks.

    The painter was terrible. At the end of the job a large amount of the kitchen and bathroom painting had to be redone as we refused to pay for the substandard rubbish that had been done so far. Wayne claimed it was the first time he used the painters. This would be more believable if he hadn't told us how great they were when we expressed reservations during the initial painting part of the job. He did moan and whinge about how much it cost him having to redo the painting.

    When it came to getting the bill an attempt to charge us for the electricians apprentice was made. We were never quoted for an apprentice. Certainly not the $30 + p/h he attempted to charge us for him. This included trying to charge us for time when we were home and the apprentice wasn't there. This was a major concern to us. We wanted to question everything else that went over budget but we decided we had to rely on his records and it probably wasn't going to be worth it anyway.

    At the end of the job we had to get our insurance company in to fix our lounge wall that was pushed out by several centimetres. We had to pay a $100 excess. However, we got it back later after we assume the insurance company did their recovery job.

    16 months after finishing Wayne's plumber had to come back because the shower was coming off the wall. It wasn't correctly installed. This despite Wayne managing to confidently assure us his people always did the job right and to specifications when we told him of this issue. This would have meant more if he had bothered to come and look. Also, when Wayne's plumber came, after he was sent by Wayne to check the wall, he admitted he didn't install it correctly.

    All in all this is the worst company we have ever dealt with. We tell everyone we meet about our experience with this company, as for us, it really was terrible.

    Wayne responded:
    "The painting issue: This was the first time we had used a firm called HARBOUR CITY MAINTENANCE, I was introduced to the owner of the business at a BNI group(Business Networking International) and he came highly recommended by other business colleagues in the group, This was the first and only time we had used this company, I had paid him over $3500 to do all the painting required, he then disappeared after I paid him, the client obviously wasn’t happy, I was unable to get hold of the guy, at this point I sent my 2 employees down to redo all the painting which took a week to complete to the customer satisfaction (hence the reason for sanding after the bench top was installed).We got in a debt collector to find this person to get our money back but and he vanished! The lounge wall issue: We had to remove a hot water cylinder cupboard from the kitchen which backed onto the lounge, whilst we were removing the timber framing it became obvious that when this was original built it was done badly and the timber structure was very poor and after pulling out the kitchen side we didn’t notice the wall had moved a bit(probably only 2 cm of movement)we offered to fix it when it was later discovered but Mark didn’t want us to do this…..we paid the excess for the job as claimed on insurance without a problem, no recovery was necessary. Time frames: Really 3 weeks to complete a project this size ….. At no point was Mark told that it would only take 3 weeks to complete this as we were doing 4 separate rooms, bathroom, dining, laundry and kitchen, including full strip and reline plastering, painting ,plumbing and electrical, removal of walls ,fitting of beams, re-piling and levelling the floor, patching up damaged areas under floor coverings etc. , minimum time frame for this would be around 5-6 weeks, we also had issues with the poor standard of building work done originally, we had to re-pile under the bathroom floor as it was 70mm out of level and didn’t have enough sub floor support we then had to build up the rest of the floor to get it as level as possible, this all took extra time to complete as was unforeseen until we had demolished everything…..It looks like some renovations may have been carried out in the property at some stage and not done to any good standard. The shower: The plumber had fitted the plastic liner of the shower directly on to seratone, it turns out that the glue used was not correct for the application, the plumber went back as described and removed the shower and wall linings and then reinstalled all at no cost to the client obviously.. Apprentice:$30 + gst is a fair price for an electrical apprentice and a small discrepancy on a date meant he thought we were over charging for hours which was NOT the case and that was also rectified(and this was also for only 1 hour of work)..NO quotes were done for the building work only an estimate, if the apprentice had not been there then he would have been charged full price for the qualified electrician which would have cost him more than he was actually charged….Most apprentices for plumbing or electrical are charged out around this if not more with others. The sander issue (he was a new employee who is no longer with us)and it was an accident, the sander slipped of the cover sheet onto the bench top and scratched it slightly($100 was more than generous as it was a small scratch which was not really visible. Sometimes accidents happen!! In summary we did everything we could to sort the issues the client had, it has taken the client nearly 4 years to put this review on no cowboys and believe that we had sorted everything out to the customers satisfaction and am horrified he has put this up considering how it was 4 years ago. We have many happy clients and unfortunately sometimes you get a job that turns into a nightmare and this was one of only a couple over the 11 years in business….. "

    "We had the concept6, but it took good communication for the concept to be converted to reality. We are very pleased. It is exactly what we wanted.
    AAKB were very easy to talk to, and responsive.
    We were disappointed to miss oiur time deadline of a major event at home, but although the units could have been installed beforehand,. it would have left no time to reaorganise the storage etc.
    The end result has been great.

    "All About Kitchens committed to installing our kitchen before xmas 2010 and they kept their word. This was a major relief to us and credit must go to Wayne, Clair and their team of tradespeople. Wayne\'s sub contracters and suppliers were all great to have in our home, and professional. One or two small issues post install were resolved promptly, including a mistake by us the customer. All this was done at no extra cost. We love our new and beautiful kitchen, and enjoyed the design process. We feel have our dream kitchen now, and cooking in it is a joy."

    "Extremely satisfied with our "self build" kitchen and the
    latest kit instructions are a big improvement on version 1.
    The couple of minor problems we experienced both due to
    an error in the kit and a screw driver mistake on our part
    were put right in short order with no fuss and no cost.

    "This was my first project with All About Kitchens. I began by providing initial drawings for a kitchen renovation... Wayne was an excellent sounding-board, giving practical advice based on past experiences. Wayne output 3D computer simulations of the design refinements... which were helpful but did also proved somewhat deceptive as the room dimension wasn\'t completely accurate. None-the-less, the estimate that followed offered great value for money.

    The project was commissioned and carried out at a very busy time of year for Wayne... however deadlines were met and I was kept in touch with progress. In spite of some last minute changes, Wayne remained flexible and open to help.

    I have no hesitation in recommending Wayne and All About Kitchens. The quality of workmanship has been of a high standard and I\'ve received consistently good service and advice.

    "From my first meeting with Wayne when he undertook the quote this firm under promised and over delivered. The quote came in very quickly, I made a couple of changes and they emailed me the amended quote. I paid my deposit and they gave me a start date for the kitchen. All dates promised were honoured. I organised my own subs and Waynes firm worked in very well with them. He was accommodating with information so we could pre-organise our plumber and electrician. The glass splashback wasnt organised and when I phoned Wayne to enquire I had the guy around in one hour. I am thrilled with the kitchen and found this firm to be very very professional to deal with. I would highly recommend them, their communication from start to finish was outstanding and I feel we got real value for money. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company."

    "This was the kitchen from hell getting installed. He took 1/2 the total amount before a final plan was decided, made serious design mistakes with the sink bowl placement and eventually replaced the benchtop 5 times due to mistakes. Overall the kitchen does look nice but we have had to compromise on a number of things, yet he only gave us a $600 discount off the final price. Never ever think of using the cowboys if you actually want to get the finished product on time and how you want it. He is a great sweet talker so perhaps you may end up with what you think you want, which really isn't what you wanted in the end."

    "I would like to respond to a posting from peter on my company as follows:- Initially I was contacted by a designer to provide a price for her clients kitchen. I did this based on a plan provided to me by the designer, the quote was accepted and I was asked to do a final site measure On measuring the room I found that it did not match the measurements provided on the designers concept plans, they were out by around 500mm, I re quoted the job with the additional cabinetry and longer bench top My final plans were sent to the client and nothing was mentioned about the new sink position. . After installing the kitchen I was contacted to say that the clients were unhappy with the position of the sink and wanted the bench top to be replaced, we agreed to this We returned to install the new bench top only to find that the first bench top had been badly scratched, obviously at that point they didn’t want the new bench top put in as was the same material as was used for the first one. So at this point I approached another supplier to manufacturer another bench top for the clients, when putting the new bench top into place I noticed that the sink was in the wrong position, it seems that the guy who made the bench miss read the drawings and put it in the wrong place Once this was remade and the bowl was correct we returned once again to fit the bench, it all fitted and the job was able to be finished . The clients then took me to mediation through the N.K.B.A (National Kitchen and Bathroom Association) as they felt unhappy with what we had done, after having a meeting there with a renowned kitchen designer and NKBA president it was agreed that they could have a 5 discount on the job, so a further $600 cost to me the customer agreed with the settlement and we both signed some forms All in all I lost over $10k on the job and went through a lot of stress and anguish. I went out of my way to sort this kitchen and think that the comment above is unfair and unjustified"
