  "I have used ASAP section clearing twice now to help tidy up our large and slightly wild section. They have done a great job both times. Initially I was very impressed with the quote from Grant, which broke the work down into each area of the garden, all neatly labelled on a photograph of the section. This made it very easy to know exactly what would be done.
  The team arrived promptly and worked hard, and everyone was very friendly.

  "I found ASAP on the internet and flicked off a quote request to them, within a few days Grant had come by while I was at work (as agreed) and provided me with an extremely detailed quote.

  We were so impressed by the service, we said to go ahead with the lot. A few days later we came home and the work was all done and it looked fantastic. Everyone has been commenting on how great our place looks.

  I couldn't recommend Grant and the team any more highly, thanks so much guys, what a great job."

  "I have used ASAP and will use them again. They did a fabulous job on my Cherry tree and then other trees in general. I found Grant to be very knowledgeable about NZ trees and would highly recommend them to anyone. I also felt that their prices were reasonable. They gave me an list of prices and even included things that they recommended I do if I wanted.

  They came, did the job and I was amazed when I came home."

  "I spent a long time explaining to Grant Price what I wanted and that we wanted to keep our privacy. The second pruner he brought with him decimated our privacy and pruned trees mercilessly that I had specifically requested be only pruned in the upper branches to retain privacy from very close neighbours. I would not recommend that anyone use their services unless you want a complete clearring done - they might be good at that. The second pruner was not qualified as he did not know the names of… any common trees."

  Grant Price responded:

  "When I first met with Maryanne to discuss the various tree trimming jobs around her property I advised her that trimming in one particular area of her garden would open up the area to view from the neighbours. She indicated that she understood and that she wanted us to go ahead regardless. It wasn’t until my men were on site and were trimming the foliage in that area that she noticed that she could suddenly see through to the neighbour’s house. She told my men to stop work which they did of course. She was upset, but this was clearly her fault. We followed her instructions to the letter. However in a different area of the garden next to her deck I admit we mistakenly cut one small branch that had been providing privacy from another neighbour. I admitted this to Maryanne. And I agreed with her that in doing so that we had compromised her privacy. I apologised for what was done. I later met with her and her husband in order to try to find some way to remedy the matter at my expense – e.g. put up a trellis or a planter box or screen of some kind that would restore their privacy. Maryanne would have none of it. She was quite irrational during this discussion. She made no effort to suggest a solution to the problem. She was more intent on berating me for the mistake. Furthermore, she then went in search of other problems with our work around the property. She was very hard pressed to find any other fault with our work. She resorted to saying that one of my labourers did not know the name of a particular plant, and this she believed should disqualify him from being part of my workforce. I have a trained horticulturist on the team with an encyclopaedic knowledge of plants, and I have a pretty good grasp on such nomenclature myself. It is not necessary for the whole team to know all the plants and trees by name, only that they follow my instructions. Given that we could not make this customer happy whatever I tried to do, I decided not to invoice her for any of the work that we did that day, in effect crediting her for around $500 – well in excess of what a trellis, screen or any other means of privacy could possible cost to erect. And still she wasn’t happy; she threatened legal action, which has never come to pass. Is there any more that I could have done? To all my many many happy customers who may be reading this, and are not represented on this website, I urge you to post your comments about your experience with my company. Let’s see if we can’t get some balance here. "

  "My husband and I have used ASAP services about 3 times over the last year and have found grant easy to communicate with and his team friendly and hard working. They did some section clearing for us initially and then went on to the challenging task of removing various creepers out of trees around the property. I have been happy with the work done by ASAP and recognise that they do not market themselves as landscape experts. We employed specialised landscape experts to build our hard landscaping… from a plan we had created. Having said that I have used ASAP to do some digging and planting and found them to be very good. I would highly reccommend them to everyone. It is up to us and buyers of services to explain clearly what you want to achieve and ask whether they are capable of achieving that. I have found Grant to be honest in his assessments and dealings and know that if I am looking for arborists or highly trained horticulturists that this would also be reflected in the pricing structure. The ASAP team do a good job at a good price."
