When leaving feedback for a tradie or business on NoCowboys, you have two options:
Firstly, the quote we received was for a truck and three movers, however on the day the truck driver barely participated in the move, only assisting when there was a problem.
On arrival, despite having received instructions that the first pickup address was on a steep driveway, the movers seemed unprepared to deal with this.… They ignored clear instructions from the homeowner that the only practical way to manage the driveway was to reverse down. Being unprepared resulted in approximately 40 minutes delay before they were able to move any items (when they had already turned up 1 hour after the expected arrival time).
Overall, the two movers were slow, inefficient and seemed to lack basic experience around moving furniture. At times we began to wonder whether they had indeed moved a household before.
In moving our two beds up to the bedrooms of our new house ( up a stairwell that is not unusually narrow, steep or twisting) the movers completely failed to be able to get one bed up, instead having to bring it back down to the kitchen, and very nearly got the second bed stuck on the upstairs hallway. In doing this they left multiple marks (including handprints)along the freshly painted walls of the stairs and hallway. Without my husband’s intervention to assist with spatial logistics they would have been unable to resolve this and move the bed through. We were very unhappy that they were unable to get the first bed upstairs, but made the decision that we had already wasted too much time trying to make this happen. The movers did not have any Allen keys with them which would have enabled them to collapse the bed.
Although the movers were only one hour over the time estimate we were given, my husband basically fulfilled the role of the third mover and was a full participant in all of the moving. If he had not done this we estimate we would have been paying for three extra hours.
As I am sure you will by now be aware, we were very disappointed by the quality and knowledge of the movers. Sadly this was compounded by their inefficient communication, which at times could only be described as rude. They generally consulted with each other before checking with us as the customer.
Use another carrier this one is the pits.......
"We rung them, eventually they found our booking, but then kept us waiting for two hours while they checked out which of their drivers could come and move us. Finally nearing midday they offered to move us in the late afternoon, which was completely impossible for us. We had to change to a different… company which, because of the last minute booking meant that we had to pay considerably higher costs. We would have been much better to go with the other company from the beginning and saved ourselves money.
I wrote to Auckland Movers asking for an explanation and an apology but there was no answer. I would not recommend this company no matter what the circumstance.

as per my first sentence, not only these are the worst movers i have ever seen, they are straight up scum of a human beings. moving is stressful, and they seem to take advantage of situation like this. looking at the bed ransom trick, this must happens a lot with them.
