    "I had intermittent electrical problems with my car. When I took it to autolab it had been to a mechanic that spent 3 days with it and didn't charge me because they couldn't fix it (Calray Motors). I suggested the problem might be the battery / alternator / BCU, Autolab first told me the problem was my key remote being faulty. I gave them my spare key, same issue. Next they told me it was my aftermarket alarm and removing it would definitely fix the problem. My car appeared to be fixed but as I said the fault was intermittent and after a while the fault came back with exactly the same symptoms and warning lights on the dash. I made the mistake of thinking they would stand by their work and not charge me for another repair after removing my perfectly good alarm system but the original repairer no longer work there and the manager decided that the car was better off without the alarm even it I didn't think so. He then told me that as I had suggested on the first visit that the alternator needed replacing and I had to pay another $600 (quote from pitstop westgate was $380 including retesting existing alternator to be sure it was faulty) onto of the $600 from the first visit. Autolab claim that it was a different problem but there is no possible way that a faulty alternator can cause the exact same symptoms and warning lights as a faulty or incorrectly installed alarm. I have tried to resolve this issue with Autolab but they're only interested in getting as much money out of people as possible so hopefully this will help people avoid making the same mistake it did."
