"Accepted a quote for removal of a stump and trimming a large tree (between 1 to 3 meters- all sides). Stump was done, no problem there. After work was completed I come home and struggle to see what was done. Counted about 4 branches cut... Phoned and made an appointment to audit the work. After waiting for over an hour, phoned their office again. Turns out they have already audited the work earlier but didn't bother telling me the appointment was off. Made a date to complete the work and… promised to let me know what time so I can be there. Stopped at home on the day to drop something off and surprise surprise- they are there but of course nobody called me! Found two confused men that said they can't do much without harming the tree. Obviously I don't want the tree harmed hence getting "professionals" to do the job. When I asked why I was quoted for a job they can't do they had no clue. Asked them to stop as they were clueless. Having to hire actual professionals to finish the job. Had to pay for the stump removal (no probs) but (after a $150 "discount") also for most of the work that wasn't done so six branches cost me about $200. Thanks but no thanks!"

"Arborists work was fine and on time, the stump grinder on the other hand was from a different planet. We were told the grinder would be "a couple of days" after the tree felling. He was a week later and then ground out the wrong stump. The bill arrived before the completion of the work. Still chasing up to get the correct stump ground out."

"We used Beaver Trees because they came on time for giving us a quote and were very efficient.
When they finished the cleaned up so well you wouldn't have known they were here. The boys were very professional, polite and knew what they were doing.

"We didn't know that the quote did not include removel of wood and when we asked about it we were told it would be at an hourly rate of first hour about $200 plus and second hour $190 approx total $400 plus gst now we have a pile of wood meaning that we can't park a car. then we had to ring to find out why the tree had not been removed on the given date to find out it would be removed four days later. Then we had to clean up chainsaw oil off our path."

"We don\'t know if if it was value for money, because we haven\'t had work done like this for quite a few years. But they seem very professional and proficient at the job. They offered to do lots of clear-up work which we didn\'t require and they left us a lot of firewood that they could have chipped up. They were pleasant and friendly and a pleasure to have around.

"We were happy with the work done on the first day but thought they could have done a bit more on the second day. Especially some of the branches that overhung into our neigbours paddock.
Message left on our phone Friday 18 Jan was confusing in that Linda said they would be out tomorrow, meaning Saturday However they did not arrive so I left a couple of messages (thinking that they would be out Monday) but no one called back until Monday morning saying that they would be out Tuesday. When I… queried that they would be coming out for two days, she seemed surprised giving me the impression that she thought it was for only one day I had taken time off work Monday morning especially for this.

I only found out from Linda that Beaver Tree Service does not work on Saturdays. If someone would of returned my calls straight away to clarify dates this confusion would of been avoided."

"The trees were cut to the height requested however I would have liked some-one to suggest that a reshape of the sides may be required to keep the balance correct - and that this is not automatically done as part of the procedure.
As a landscaping company I thought the asthetics of the trees would be something you are proactive about in any job - especially if there is an opportunity to upsell. I certainly would have paid the extra to have a better result...but will continue to use Beaver… anyway as I like the Company and the people employed
