"Cleanscene visited our property to complete a house wash and one of their new staff members used a waterblaster to clean the front of our house, front steps, front porch and front door with surrounding original lead light panels. They damaged the paint work removing patches of paint right back to the boards in parts. They also cracked a lead light panel.

The owners Luke Attard and Gordon Stuart have been largely unresponsive and despite saying they have 2m public liability insurance to cover this they are refusing to fix the damage their staff member caused. The cost to fix using our own tradespeople will be recovered through the courts.

Cleanscene Window Limited that is advertised does not even exist on the companies register.

The company and its subsidiary company Lightning Cleaning are very unprofessional and negligent and, based on my experience, i would not recommend.

When trusting your house to someone do your research.

    Luke Attard responded:
"Melissa, While respecting your right to free speech and therefore your right to post comments on the internet. I am disappointed that you continue to misrepresent the facts, after you were so unreasonable and demanding when both Gordon and I tried to resolve your complaint in a reasonable way, despite you instructing the onsite staff to use the water blaster after our clear warnings of the risk, and our strong suggestion to soft wash to protect your home. The job was booked in for a softwash, the team was instructed to softwash, however when they were on site, following our instructions. You demanded in a very aggressive manner, that they use the waterblaster or you would complain, this was after an outburst by you, when you found out that it was organised with your husband, only one staff member was on site in the morning, with the second joining him late morning. You very loudly, in clear view and hearing of my staff member, chastised your husband for using our service when you did not approve, of his decision. The voicemail you left on our bookings line, confirmed the feedback from the onsite staff, in regards to your aggressive and demanding tone. It is worth noting, this was the third time you have used our service, and each time you have complained, about our methods and techniques despite the efforts we have gone to in explaining the amount of research into world wide best practise, and safe practise might I add, CleanScene has undertaken. You had a director of the company at your home to look into your complaint within 5 business hours of your complaint left on voicemail. While I understand the weekend was in the middle, your voicemail was left late afternoon on Friday, after the last check of the messages for the day, and was therefore not retrieved until Monday morning. I also note the additional 3 emails, each one more aggressive then the last, sent over the weekend, that were not read until Monday. The director gave you a promise to have the areas of concern you had with the cleaning rectified that evening, we delivered on that promise. He also asked for time to investigate and get to the bottom of what happened, as the actions did not make sense, and was against the training and procedures of our Company, and we needed what happened. Gordon had contact with you at least daily, if not multiple times each day, for the next 3 days. Despite Gordon’s high level of communication, we still received an aggressive email complaining, that I did not call you back. We believe in ownership and having a single point of contact to ensure on the rare occasions we do not meet our clients expectations, the issues are resolved, quickly, effectively, and with minimal effort by the client. You were not happy with is, and decided to contact me at 9pm at night, and rudely demand unreasonable actions. I asked you to end the call, as I did not have the answers to your questions, and I will give you the answers during business hours the next day. You refused to allow me time to get the answers to your question, and continue to demand my time at an unreasonable hour of the night. It was clear that no matter what actions we did, you were not going to be satisfied, and just wanted to abuse someone, I therefore said Good Night to you, and ended the call. That night, we received another aggressive email from you, informing me, in your opinion, my ending the call, was rude. We always aim to achieve a constructive outcome when we receive complaints, and take on board our clients comments, to ensure we are always improving our systems and training. However, from the outset you have put up barriers to a positive outcome. I will now address your claim that CleanScene, Gordon, and I are someway, being underhanded with CleanScene being a trading as Brand, with Lightning Cleaning Service being the Legal company. We comply with all laws, and our GST number is clearly listed on our invoices. After your post, I did review our website, and did notice in our footer, the web designers had not removed the LTD, after Lightning Cleaning purchased the business in early 2014, I have had this mistake rectified immediately, and I apologies for any misconceptions. We worked closely with the old owners to ensure clients were informed, and the previous LTD company was renamed to ensure no confusion, we openly discuss the relationship between CleanScene and Lightning Cleaning Service, as this enhances our service abilities. The main reason we did not merge the companies was due to the different service offerings of the businesses. One being more focused on Commercial cleaning, and CleanScene focusing on Residential. Moreover, with the internet being a major factor in today’s market. It was recommended to us, having the different names, allowed us to ensure we could target the websites in a way that maximised our marketing spend. The cost of governance and accounting for two limited companies out weighed any benefits. Have one legal entity with multiple trading names targeting specific segments of the market is common practise, is legal, is smart and sensible governance. I point out, it is just as common to have a legal entity with a name that has no resemblance to the trading name. Your implication is nothing more than a cheap effort to smear our name. We have grown year on year due to our high level of service, while we are not perfect, we are far better then you imply. I have taken no enjoyment in writing this response, however the gravity of your claims, and you clear intent to post your misleading statements on as many sites as possible, forced me to write such an open and candid response. Regards, Luke Attard"

"Despite some difficulty co-ordinating furniture removal and cleaning times Hiren turned up at 6:30 p.m and did a wonderful job. He left our house absolutely sparkling having done everything we asked of him.
I was very impressed and more than satisfied wth all my dealings with CleanScene and would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to undertake house cleaning. The charges were also very reasonable. We have now moved out of Auckland and hope we can find as good a service where we now live.

    Thank you, CleanScene!!!!!!!!
