"Complete Roofing Services are an impossible outfit to deal with. I had read the odd negative review of them but there positives too. The job was to fix a leak and initially they appeared to be professional and competent. The job was done except the leak was not fixed. I can handle that as I understand these can be tricky to deal with sometimes. However, when the leak reappeared a few days before Xmas , it was impossible to communicate with Joe. Apparently he had turned his phone off completely. I then asked for another quote and was promised he would supply two options. When he only supplied one option I asked for followup and from then on in Complete Roofing was impossible to contact. Whether by phone , text or email there was absolutely no response, ( apart from automated bill reminders ) either from Joe or Danny. I have never experienced anything like this in my whole life; Complete Roofing has just appallingly bad customer service. I initially refused to pay the balance of the account but in the end have decided to do so and have gone to another far more professional company. Complete Roofing Services should be avoided."

"Danny and his team removed our 1960s concrete tile roof and replaced with coloursteel. Excellent communications through quotation, date establishment and project. Job was completed very efficiently with good calls made on weather conditions throughout job. Team were friendly, reliable and professional. Danny co-ordinated with spouting contractor for setup and shared use of scaffolding (2 storey house). Left job tidy and clean. No problems or issues encountered. Invoiced as per quotation, and job delivered as quoted. Highly recommended."

"We recently had a roof replacement done by Complete Roofing (including the partial removal of two chimneys and the repair of two skylights). The quote was quick to come through and extremely competitive. The team arrived promptly each day, worked extremely hard, were always approachable and even left the site spotless at the end of every day! The roof was finished in just 3 days and looks great. "We are body corporate with 6 units - like another review here - and found Complete Roofing to be really good to deal with. We had remedial work done on all our roofs and this was done efficiently and at a competitive price (it was really hard to get a reasonable or sensible quote that wasn't just ridiculously overpriced). "Our Body Corp with 6 apartments used Complete Roofing to do our very difficult building and work site. The price was extremely competitive, the trades were polite and cleaned up when asked. Admittedly it took a while but it is a very professional job. We are all delighted with the workmanship. Would highly recommend them however for such a big job as ours it is not a quick process."

"Complete Roofing Services were a nightmare to deal with. The job was in 2013, maybe thing have changed. But we couldn't get hold of Danny. We had to pay a big deposit upfront, and then they mistakenly charged us again. That was sorted. But the worse part - the leaks in our roof weren't fixed, and when we tried to get them back (we knew it might take a couple of goes, so weren't giving them a hard time about that) they didn't return any calls - EVER! They just never showed again. In the end we just gave up and took the hit on our budget, got another roofing contractor to the job.

They also didn't do the extras that we had paid for - like clean the guttering. And when we got up on the roof to take a look, they had just banged nails in a few places - potentially creating more leaks."

"I contacted Danny to give us a quote to re-roof the garage. I also asked him to check the gutter of our rental house since our tenants have complained that a lot of water falls into the heatpump unit. Danny gave me a quote promptly and he also said that he unblocked the gutter which solved the problem. Danny's price was the cheapest out of three quotes we received. I was impressed by Danny's efficient communication and the fact that he unblocked our gutter for free so we hired him to re-roof the garage. We are very happy with the outcome so we asked Danny to gave us a quote to re-roof the bay window. Again, Danny's quote was cheapest. It took longer than I expected to get our bay roof completely done but mostly it was because we had horrendous weather in April. Every-time I texted Danny about the progress, he promptly replied back. As far as I can tell, he did a great job re-roofing our bay window and our neighbour told us that it looked good. I am highly recommending Danny to do any of your roofing."

Very happy. this year i have another job for him but have left a few messages and he hasn't bothered to come back to me. Frustrating because i would have liked to use him. "I selected Complete Roofing Services on the basis of their ratinings on No Cowboys and I wasnt dissapointed. Danny was very fast in providing a quote, the price was competitive and the work was completed to a very high standard. There were a few things that didnt quite run to plan, Colour Steel ran late in providing the materials by two weeks and upon delivery some of the flashing was bent. However Danny worked through these issues with me and I am very happy with the results.

There are some opportunies for improvement though.

Complete Roofing generally quote a heavier roofing material at .55g in comparison with their competitors and it is more expensive. If you ask the competitors to quote a similar weight roofing you will suddenly find Danny\'s quote works out the cheapest - so thats a good thing. But I could not find out what the benefit of the heavier roofing iron is! Colour Steel provide no explanation on their website and it seems the warranties are similar between the products (same manufacturer) and both meet building code. So my recommendation is that this be explained in the quote and why it would be beneficial to the consumer.

The second opportunity is that its a bit confusing receiving two seperate quotes for the roof replacement and a seperate one for the edge protection (scaffold). If this could be rolled into one and also invoiced as one it would make things a bit simplier.

"Where to start!! Excellent communication, from the outset to conclusion. I was out of town throughout and requested updates on progress which were forthcoming by phone. Excellent for reassurance as I now trust few with my biggest asset from past experiences. Asked to include replacemetn insulation whilst roof was off...Again, completed in full to extremely high standard. Needless to say I got up and had a look, especially aroung light fittings down lights etc. Highly satisfactory / excellent fire prevention - a key quirk of mine. Large job done in three days, and my wife was appraised throughout in my absence.

One year on and this feedback is more than just how the job went. This is about standing up to the elements, living our first really warm winter, and the period that included Wellington\'s heaviest snowfall in history just two months after the roof job.
Timelines as stated, work site very safe and kept in check throughout, staff exceptionally professional, well mannered, and focussed. My wife and I routinely comment on the effort in saving for a new roof...the \'new roof\' that you cannot see the investment unless you are in an aeroplane, but you can hear the value of the investment every time it rains and blows here in Wellywood.

After several phone calls, discussions, then reading all of the feedback on this website my mind was laid to rest with the sound and informative advice I received from owner/operator roofing installer Danny Tafeamaalii.

I’d like to say a big thank you to the guys at Complete Roofing. From the moment I received Danny’s business card in the letterbox I had a hunch that this roof installer was for me. After getting 4 quotes Danny’s was the most professional and one of the most affordable. It was also the best for the product I wanted to use - Color Steel.

"We recently had a complete re-roof by Complete Roofing. Danny's quote was supplied quickly and was very comprehensive unlike others that I obtained. His quote was for 55g product unlike others which quoted for 40g and his price was cheaper.. I was impressed by the standard of the quote to the extent that I considered that his workmanship would be of a similar manner. It was and Danny did not let us down at all. Danny kept us informed of the proposed starting date despite the inclement weather. The roof was completed in a relatively short period of time given the weather situation. "For our roof replacement we got three quotes and Complete Roofing were the cheapest. As a friend had also recommended them we chose them for the job. Right from the start we found Danny and his team to be professional, polite and friendly. "Danny and his boys turn up on time, clean up after the end of the day, reroofed our place very well and Danny communicates very well. In terms of roofing we are very satisfied w/ their workmanship. Roof where cut and measured properly, riveted and screw in place, flushings and ridges placed properly, joints all properly sealed and shaped for proper water egress.

I would have given a 100 for quality, however our job didn't go as planned. It wasn't the roof but a ceiling work, there was a small rot on the ceiling that need the timber to be replaced. The replaced timber was not trimmed and measured properly. It was structurally good, but not cosmetically good. To Danny's credit he is not charging us w/ the labor and materials for it. Danny would also bring the feedback to the contractor. Brent Tuohy has then provided us a custom cut lockwood timber, which I can glue in place to remove the gap.

Overall would I use Danny again, yes w/o a doubt. Would I recommend Danny to my friends, yes. For roofing they really know what they are doing."

"FANTASTIC!!! In every aspect! Danny & his crew were nothing but! (& my new Coloursteel roof is to die for!) Right from Day 1 of arranging a day & time for Danny to come & do a quote (which was very well priced!) & going right through to completion of the new roof, after which I was given very valuable after-service advice.
On the actual job, Danny & his team were quick & efficient, always communicating with myself & each other. They cleaned up & got rid of any rubbish along the way, with punctuality not being a problem for them at all! "I found this company to be very honest. We had a leak that another company had already done work on, but had not fixed properly. Danny quoted to redo the work, but when his team started they found that the work already done was to a high standard and only needed a few tweaks. He rang and refunded our deposit."

"I have to agree 100% with the other comments here. Danny and his guys were easily the best quote I had, broke down costs in the quote without needing to be asked and re-roofed my house in 2 and a half days flat! I had subsequent cause to call Danny out about a minor leak. He came *exactly* when he said he would, and did what was necessary. No worries whatsoever!"
