    "David has just completed re laying our existing roof. We had a number of leaks because of the pitch of the roof, 10 deg. David has done an excellent job to repair and relay the roof. He has put down a waterproof membrane to keep the water out. David was excellent to deal with and took the time to explain to me the issues I had with the roof, he gave me 3 options and talked me through each option. Very happy with his workmanship"

    "I got two quotes for my new tile roof and S&T roofing were cheaper. My initial selection was based on the positive feedback given on this website. Dave was responsive throughout my dealings with him (something that was rarely the case amongst the other 4 or so roofing contractors I tried as well). Dave was reliable, he did what he said, when he said. Easy to deal with and very helpful at a good price and the final product quality was very high.     "I asked David to have a look at our roof as we had earlier had a leak through the flashing. He did a thorough inspection and recommended replacing another piece of the flashing and repoiinting the whole roof where the mortar had cracked and come away. Even though he is very busy David managed to fit us in within two weeks of the quote. Even to the untrained eye I can see how professional the job is and we won't hesitate to use David and his team again. Professional, honest and very very… good at what he does what more could you ask for."

    "I DID GIVE MY ROOF JOB TO DAVID IN " MARCH 2013. IT IS NOW DEC 2014".
    I HAVE TO SAY MY SEVERAL EXPERIENCES OF ROOFERS HAS NOT BEEN A GOOD ONE. IN FACT ONE WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE.
    I AM CONVERSANT WITH WHAT IS REQUIRED TO MAKE A GOOD ROOFING JOB AND HAD QUOTATIONS FROM SEVERAL ROOFERS. DAVIDS TRACK RECORD/RATINGS ON "NO MORE COWBOYS" WAS THE SINGLE POINT THAT DECIDED ME TO USE HIM.
    MY ROOF REPAIR WAS SUBSTANTIAL AND HAD BEEN LEAKING IN SEVERAL AREAS. OUTWARDLY THE JOB… DAVID DID LOOKED OK.

    ON THE COMPLETION OF THE JOB, DAVID DID ASK ME,IF I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE JOB, WOULD I GIVE HIM A" REFERENCE" ON NO MORE COWBOYS

    EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT ME THAT TIME AND SEVERE WEATHER WOULD DETERMINE IF HE HAD DONE A GOOD JOB.

    IT IS NOW 21 MONTHS LATER AND THE ROOF HAS NOT LEAKED OR GIVEN ME ANY PROBLEMS.

    "We used David to re-roof our 1949 concrete tiled duplex. It involved putting in a ridge line between our roof and the neighbours and replacing the old tiles with new. David was extremely patient as it took a year to organise (for reasons unconnected with the re-roof itself) and we had to keep rescheduling. He was also very willing to explain how and why things were done, including choice of tile, underlay, and so on. We were very appreciative of the rapidity with which he responded to queries… we had. David and his assistant Cyrus did a very professional and tidy job, and gave us confidence in the quality of work. Overall, a great guy to deal with, delivered on what he said he would to a high standard, very good price, and extremely helpful and understanding"

    "Really impressive service and great workmanship. We emailed our enquiry and David arrived to quote the job the next morning! On his advice we saved $8000 on unnecessary recolouring/recoating of the roof and instead spent a lot less on addressing the waterproofing issues so we got exactly what we wanted...a watertight roof that was good for the coming years...at a huge saving over what wed been quoted elsewhere. Couldn't ask for more. Very happy to endorse David's reputation."

    "We recently purchased a house that required some roof work to be carried out - re-pointing the ridge tiles, replacing several cracked/broken tiles, and modifying the valley sheet metal and flashing. We obtained four quotes. Two companies insisted we needed ~$500 spray pre-treatment (I won't mention names), which we weren't keen on. Slate and Tiles quote was in the middle of the 4 prices, but talking with David, we felt confident he was the right choice. The work started promptly, but took a… little longer than expected due to Auckland rain.The finished roof looks great and we're very happy with the end result. We have no hesitation in recommending David to anyone searching for an honest, reliable roofer who will do a great job."

    "Ok, so we did not ACTUALLY hire David.
    Reason
    He came, he saw and said it wasn\'t necessary. (We had been going by what the pre-purchase builder\'s inspection told us)
    He could have got some serious cash from us for work that can wait for a few years. But he didn\'t. So thank you for your honestly, David! We will be back in touch when the work on our roof does actually need to be done!    "

    "We used Slate & Tile Roofing to perform repairs to a 5-unit block of flats with concrete tiles. The roof structure around fire walls was fixed, between 40 and 50 broken tiles were replaced and the roof ridge was replaced.

    After going to half a dozen roofing businesses to get quotes we received a large range of advice and quote prices. Slate & Tile Roofing had the most competitive quote, but the reason we went with them was because of their absolute honesty when providing accurate… information (including references to a variety of other websites). They definitely are NOT cowboys :)

    The roofer (David) provided excellent communication and feedback throughout the job.

    The work was completed on time and with no hidden costs.

    I would highly recommend Slate & Tile Roofers for any concrete tile roofing job.    "

    I received a response minutes after I contacted him from The No Cowboy\'s website and this standard of communication was kept up until the job was finished.

    The standard of his quote was excellent. He even took photos of the areas of my roof which may need attention in the future and attached them to the quote.

    I will not be able to tell whether all my leaks are fixed until after the next heavy rainfall (which is to be expected) but, all up, a very… painless experience.
