  "I bought the house a long time ago and its bathroom had just been renovated although the configuration seemed a bit odd - with shower next to the window frame. It was all fine for about 15 years when suddenly the window frame rotted. Turns out that was just the tip of the iceberg, with the stud and framing rotted too. I contacted one builder who was very enthusiastic at first but then was late to view the job and subsequently ignored all my emails. I then contacted a bathroom building company… that was the first google result and they gave me an outrageous quote and did not even account for any building work. Family then reminded me to call Jason. I was like he's a plumber though? They said he'll have builders he works with. Jason rang me straight away, put me in touch with his builder, electrician, flooring person; they all gave me written quotes that were very reasonable. And they all began work straight away because at this point the tiles were falling out and it was almost an emergency. Everyone did what they said they would do. Communication from everyone was fantastic. Everything was done on time. The whole thing took three weeks just as promised (time for paint to dry in winter).
  
  Aaron and his team from AC Construction re-built the framing, levelled and installed new floor, new door, and organised plastering and painting. Hamish from Superior Electrical did the electricals and fixed the fan. Parmars Flooring installed the floor vinyl. Jason from Direct Gas & Plumbing coordinated all of them, moved the plumbing, and ordered and installed all the fixtures. They are a superb team and all very lovely people. Would be happy to hire them again. Photos of before and after are attached."

  "after seeing the great reviews on this site about his business I decided to call him and his first job was to assess our leaking shower tap. Long story short it potentially was going to be a not so straight forward job so we left it as it was while we considered our next options. This visit he did not charge for! We thought wow! this from a tradie was just unheard of and so unexpected! So i booked him to attend my parents' place where he and his colleague replaced all the old and leaky kitchen,… bathroom and washouse taps, and on the same day fixed our leaking shower tap ! They completed both jobs quickly and efficiently and we couldn't have been happier with the great work they did. He also charged us fairly so no issue there too! Jason kept us well informed of what he was going to do so communication was great. i recommend to email him photos of your issues if possible as I did regarding our problematic taps so he can see what he's facing and prepare accordingly. Jason's company has earned all the kudos in these reviews and so accordingly, based on our experience with them, we highly recommend his services. 5 stars!!"

  "I awoke to hearing my hot water tap running. I checked it and could not turn it off. I thought it was more than just a washer issue but could not get the top of the tap off to check it (it is a old system). I contacted Direct gas and plumbing and despite it being a small job and the two guys from Direct being tied up with other jobs, they found the time to come and do a very effective fix for me. Being as it was a Friday, it was really vital for me to get it fixed quickly. I will certainly use… these guys for any future work required."

  "Just prior to lockdown, I had a major leak in my 1910 house.
  Called ‘Direct Gas and Plumbing’. Found online, previous comments stating great at sorting leaks.
  Jason was here the next day. Found and stopped the leak, upstairs bathroom to downstairs door frame quickly. Collecting 2 + buckets a day.
  He worked so fast and professionally, it wasn’t worth making an insurance claim, the excess would have been around the cost of Jason’s account.
  Same leak occurred 10+ years ago, cost a… small fortune, finding leak and obviously not resolved.
  
  THANKFULLY, the issue is totally sorted.
  
  I thoroughly recommend Jason Sorenson’s company, ‘DIRECT GAS AND PLUMBING’ A+ service, he knows his trade well, cleans up afterwards, (plus kind and tolerant with Labrador dogs wanting to project manage), it all helps."

  "I needed someone to convert an old laundry in to a modern bathroom. Jason did a great job with the plumbing, he came when he said, was very fast and always a pleasure to deal with. He also put me in touch with his brother Shane (a master builder) who did the structural building work and managed the other contractors: tiler, painter, electrician, etc. The whole thing went very smoothly and they always let me know when issues came up and had suggestions to sort them out.

  "We had our old outdoor hot water cylinder replaced. When I accepted the estimate, the order was duly processed such that the water cylinder arrived a couple of days later, and work to install was done the following day. It was actually a windy, rainy day but Jason did not postpone the work even though his mate called in sick, so he actually worked on the installation alone in less than ideal weather. He showed me what to do so I can look after the hot water cylinder properly and advised that I… have it checked every couple of years. He's easy to talk to, promptly responded to my questions, and courteous too. He was recommended by friends, and I am happy with his workmanship and more than happy to pass on his name to other friends."

  "It was a no-brainer to use Jason again for his friendly and and efficient service. This time he installed an Rinnai Infinity hot water heater. His advice ahead of the installation meant that not only did we get a water heater with a better flow rate than suggested through the hardware store, but managed to get a better product at a cheaper rate.   "This is the second time we have used Jason. The first was in April when we needed our Rinnai Infinity Gas Heater replaced as the old one died. This last week we have had two showers pulled out and replaced with new ones.

  On both occasions we have been really impressed with Jason and his team and the work they have done. Jason was easy to communicate with and came out promptly when he said he would. When our showers were being done Michael explained to me what he was going to do, how the… work was progressing and then what was going to be done next. They also cleaned up well after doing the work.

  "Infinity hot water installation and gas hob connection.

  Jason was helpful and friendly throughout the process of installing my Infinity hot water system back in mid-2016. The work was done quickly and to a good standard, and Jason took the time to explain the implications of moving from a low to high pressure system, which has allowed me to continue using my original shower mixer and shower head without damaging them (not yet ready to upgrade bathroom).

  In January 2018, I needed a gas… hob to be connected, and based on my prior experience, had no hesitation in contacting Jason. Michael and BJ did this work to a high standard, taking care to avoid any scuffs or other damage to my new kitchen.
  
  Michael also took measurements for a cover for my Infinity system, so the intake/outlet pipes are hidden from view. He and BJ returned in February 2018 to fit the cover, which was a perfect fit.
  
  Lastly, Jason also visited me in January 2018 to do an estimate for a Braemar ducted heating system. Jason was helpful and informative at the site visit and in an earlier phone discussion, and gave me a clear understanding of the various configuration options. I have the utmost confidence that if I decide to proceed with this work, Jason and his team will again carry out the work to a high professional standard."

  "Zip industries recomended Jason. We contacted him. He came promptly at the time he said he would. The job involved putting a gas fire in an open fireplace. He organised a builder, John Lewis, to remove the old firebricks and re-line the chimney embrasure to fit the gas fire. This work went off without a hitch! He organised scaffolding for the two storey chimney. This arrived ontime. The installation was carried on the day and time he stated. The electrician was also organised by him.
  The… entire job was carried out most profesionaly. Great care was taken with covering furniture and all the rubble was remmoved promptly, all system were tested and worked first time. I would definately recomend him anytime."

He checked out (and replaced) the flue on the roof - something the previous firm quoting didn't even look at. His communications were prompt and clear. We got several quotes and chose Jason's because: a) he gave the best price; and b) when he visited to scope out the work he was thorough and he noted that we would need to get our gas meter regulator upgraded for the system to operate properly (and he told us how to arrange this at no cost to us). On the day he turned up on time, finished the job earlier than expected, and the final bill came in $500 cheaper than he… quoted.   "We had Jason and Rowan install an Infinity unit a few days ago and was really pleased with the entire process. Timing was brilliant - he showed up for the first visit within minutes of my phone call. He took the time to have a thorough look around the house to discuss options, he provided a quote that evening (PDF by email). He\'s a friendly fellow, knows his stuff, and communicates well (easy to talk to, always answered his mobile, followed up with prompt emails). The installation was done… quickly and efficiently, and did that little bit extra to leave us all set for our bathroom reno.   "After phoning a few local businesses and frustratingly getting answer phones and disinterested message service people, I searched the internet & found this business on the \"No Cowboys\" site. The first thing that impressed me was that Jason actually answered his own phone. I wanted to get an old basin removed and a new vanity installed in our ensuite.He immediately advised me of his current work commitments and that he may not be able to complete this job before Christmas. He was… happy to recommend an alternative plumber if I needed the job done sooner. This was considered, but after a few more frustrating phone calls to other plumbers, I decided Jason\'s service might just be worth waiting for & phoned him back to tell him so. I have not been disappointed in any way. In spite of a very heavy workload, Jason made the time to come and look at the job and give a competitive quote, and to my delight managed to arrange for Rowan to get the vanity installed yesterday. I was particularly pleased that Jason would not instal an infinity system because he inspected the gas pipes feeding our street and was of the opinion the gas supply wouldn\'t be reliable enough. I really appreciated him telling me a fortnight in advance when he would come - and he arrived on time. When our gas heater got snet to another city, he kept me informed nd fitted it as soon as it arrived.   "We built a great house ten years ago. It cost more than $650,000 just to build. The builder was useless. The architect had made various serious mistakes. The plumber - did a bad job and we have to do serious repair work. The windows, made of PVC are bloody terrible. It felt like the house that Jack built. It was also a leaking home and cost $115,000 to pay for repairs. Total cost now: $765,000!

  Jason recently converted our hot water to the gas infinity system. What absolute bliss to… have a competent and professional tradesperson to do a great job on time. I began to doubt if there were such competent people until I met Jason. I really appreciate his work; probably even more so than others because I have a frame of reference from my initial experience when we built the house.
  
  When the man delivering the gas bottles looked at the work he saw it was Jason's. He said he can tell his work. He said It looks so tidy and that he has seen some really bad jobs but Jason's is always excellent.
  
  Thank you Jason. We are delighted with your work and our lovely hot water. It was crazy heating 350 litres of hot water 7/24/365. Gas infinity heating is a much more sensible option."
