    "My son and daughter in law broke down on the Napier Taupo highway. They organised a tow truck and I started ringing around mechanics in Taupo as they needed their vehicle fixed fairly quickly - with two young children and a need to be back in Wellington for work next week. Craig came recommended by two other garages in Taupo for being reasonably priced and very good to deal with. I can only say that the recommendations given by others were exactly right. He was very sympathetic on the… phone to the whole situation, he carried out the repairs the next day and they ended up being considerably cheaper than imagined. The only unfortunate bit about this whole scenario is that we do not live in Taupo and therefore can't make Craig our regular mechanic. I would have no hesitation in recommending Engines and Spares to anyone either passing through or living in Taupo. Craig is a credit to his profession."

    "Got a motor recond, took longer than expected but was not rung about it, i had to chase them up. Also more work was done than asked and did not get a call to ask if i wanted the work done. Few months later got a bill for the job but i had paid it. Would not go back again due to this service. First impressions last!"
