    "Can't access my webmail to clear my overfull inbox.
    10 days and 13 messages later still no success. A variety of issues have meant i still don't have control of my webmail. They answer the tickets quickly but seem to have great trouble understanding what I actually want from them and how to control their systems to fix the problem. Incredibly frustrating. Really feel like I am part of some cruel joke where they pretend to be helpful but just end up running me round in circles.

    "I've been with Flexihost for over 5 years. I have three websites and have recommended them to many other people. At first they were awesome. Now they are totally useless. My websites drop put. They get blocked. They get unblocked and blocked again. One site now throws up an error I have to get a web developer to fix. The phone service is almost impossible to contact them through. The chat servce is poor and they don't even believe I own my own sites despite them having my name, phone and VISA details. Awaiting for the renewal to come around and I'm going elsewhere with all my sites."

    "Another bad review I'm afraid.
    Moved to FlexiHost following 24/7 shambles last year. They started out great, as a small, local hosting company. Good network speeds, low latency, good support. However now, I experience periodic, but frequent network outages or very slow load times.

    Upon logging this as a call my local internet connection was blamed despite explaining I test across multiple connections including a 4g connection and mutiple ADSL/fibre locations. As an IT Infrastructure engineer I know when I'm being mugged off, and I am being mugged off! Requested a CPU load graph for a time period for the server I was on (as I suspect high CPU time on the web server as the cause due to the nature of some of the symptoms) but never received. Time to find a new local provider that actually knows their stuff!"

    "Rogue Traders. I subscribed to Flexihost's hosting based on their promised 4-hour support response time and 30-day moneyback guarantee.
    24hr after subscription and purchasing a domain name, I noted that my .nz domain was still not registered, and I raised a number of support tickets. No response until a few days later.
    In between that time I gave up and requested cancellation of service and money back, which should also include the registration fee as this had not been actioned. I then got a response saying they had now registed it - an error on their side, despite my cancellation.

    Have requested money-back a number of times including twice by post; which have been ignored.

    NOT RECOMMENDED! With some regret I have since subscribed to a highly-recommended US-based webhosting company (would rather have supported an nz company), but they're excellent - cheaper, free domain always, 24x7 real-time webchat support; their 2nd-line support person resolved my 1 issue within 10 minutes of initial contact! + follow-ups and it works really well!

    Buck your ideas up and be honest Flexihost.

    "I signed up for service from Flexihost years ago. I loved supporting a local business and Steve was brilliant and couldn't fault the service.

    Then came Openhost. Things started out acceptable and now have gotten to the point of being a bad joke.
    Email regularly stops working and frequently its impossible to login to email.

    Support when it comes is pretty good, but often it takes me following up support tickets via social media (its often quicker than the phone - longest I've had to wait on hold without talking to someone was just under 23 minutes which resulted in their system terminating the call and starting again) but even then I wouldn't consider support speedy.

    I run a lawns business, no databases, nothing tricky. Just a static website. Surely getting the basics of cpanel and email shouldn't be hard.

    Will be moving and won't look back

    "Very poor service. When we first went to FlexiHost things were great, but when they were bought out their service dropped.

    I was told "unofficially" by one of their staff that they put less service into FexiHost, in favor of Open Host clients. My guess is they are trying to get people to move to Open Host so they can charge more. Given it is the same company, I would be skeptical Open Host would be any better.

    Now they have slow response times, long phone hold times, engineers don't even acknowledge jobs for days (once they told me that they are too busy to respond to jobs on Fridays) and blame the client not for not chasing them up sooner when jobs aren't completed.

    Would not recommend for anything other than a personal account where you don't care about up time or about customer service.

    "Since Flexihost was acquired by Openhost several years ago we have had nothing but trouble. Basic stuff ups that should not occur from a professional hosting company resulting in website downtime and loss of business.
    Poor response time that contradicts their promises via the statements made on their site and Service Level Agreement.
    More expensive than other hosts with far less service and support.
    Avoid at all costs.

    "For the second time in 4 months, despite our never failed payments, we have our e-commerce site and supporting forum suspended, on a bloody weekend! We do not recommend Flexihost to any hosting hunters. They have no support team as they only host! Their office administration is badly lacking if they can\'t do simple payment receipting. Their service is non existent."

    "been poor. I was on Webdrive when i first started but do to poor service i moved. Flexihost was great, and then they sold themselves to Webdrive. Now i back where i started. Just a number in a long queue that gets ignored. I guess it time to find a small hosting company that cares about service. "

    "Fantastic - I was with another website provider who was not answering their emails quick enough and had poor contact methods.

    My emails had stopped working due to using up my quota with them.

    I have a company and my email server was down and I was literally losing money by the second as none could get in or out.

    I got onto the instant chat with Steve and somehow he managed to get my site and all email addresses transferred to their servers and running within about an hour. Which is supposed to take 24hours.

    A very happy customer and I cannot believe the level of service they offer - highly recommended!

Steve at flexihost is always very accommodating, easily reachable on chat/emails. Emails are responded very quickly.     "I have been with flexihost for a little over 6 months, I thought I\'d wait it out half a year til I posted a testimonial for them, and I must say, they are very quick with their Chat Live via their website and also very helpful! I am so impressed by their customer service. So polite and very helpful, always willing to check things out \'just in case\' and double check anything I may have done to cause some kind of error on my end (which has been a few times I have deleted a file or changed a setting and they have fixed it for me lol) I like flexihost and I am glad they are a NZ company.. Because they are friendly, honest, reliable, cost effective, and they answer the phone and don't redirect you to a call centre! No dreadful elevator music with this company - they respond to your call and quickly sort out any issues. Steve is also very knowledgeable in all web matters, keeps up with latest technology (including 1 click installs which save me heaps of time).
